The Number One Star in the Interstellar Era

Chapter 783: A GOOD BOY

Chapter 783: A GOOD BOY

WULFRIC took in that information. There would be regular photos of Aster and special ones where he was dressed as his characters. Suddenly, all of Aster’s past roles flashed through his mind, from Aether in [The Sleeping God] to Jace in [Serendipitous Summer]. He wanted to get every single one of those photos.

But as soon as he thought that, he remembered what Aster had said before. "Does each fan only get one photo?" he asked.

"Yeah," Astrid explained. "The code you get from the quiz is unique and can only be used once. It’s linked directly to the person who passed the quiz. That way, one person only gets one photo. It stops people from trying to cheat the system and get a bunch of them."

Wulfric furrowed his brows. That meant he could only get one photo? He wanted a lot of them. A pout formed on his face without him even realizing. "Really? One fan only gets one photo?"

Astrid couldn’t help but laugh at the sulky look on Wulfric’s face. He knew him well enough to understand what the other was thinking. Wulfric definitely wanted more than one photo.

"Please don’t try to find a way to cheat the system so you can get more than one photo," he said.

Wulfric blinked. He hadn’t actually thought of that, but now that Aster mentioned it, why hadn’t he? An idea for how to get more than one photo formed in his mind. The more he thought about it, the better the plan seemed. By the end, his earlier disappointment was almost completely gone.

He grinned. "Of course, I’m a good boy. I would never do something like that."

Astrid raised an eyebrow. A good boy? An image of Wulfric with wolf ears and a collar, panting in front of Astrid, popped into his mind. He shook his head, trying to push the picture away. Now was definitely not the time to imagine Wulfric as a ’good boy’.

"You really won’t do anything?" he asked instead.

"I promise I won’t do anything illegal," Wulfric said. He couldn’t promise he wouldn’t do anything, though. Then, to change the subject, he asked, "You’re going to be really busy this week, right?"

Astrid didn’t mind the change of topic and nodded. "Yeah. We have to work really hard to promote the movie this week."

"Do you need any help? I can have people put up ads for the movie on different planets," Wulfric said, sounding as casual as if he were offering to buy him a drink.

"No, definitely don’t do that," Astrid said quickly.

He had no doubt that Wulfric wouldn’t even hesitate to do exactly that if he so much as nodded. So, it was better to make this very clear right now.

Wulfric looked disappointed by that answer. Then, as if he had another idea, he said, "Then I’ll just make sure your movie is showing in every theater here in Alluna."

Astrid paused and wondered how Wulfric would manage that. Then he remembered that the man literally owned Alluna. He could probably fill the entire planet with Astrid’s billboard and no one could say a thing about it. Except, maybe, that strict lieutenant of his.

Thinking about it, he responded, "Ah, maybe just two or three theaters is enough. Having it in every single theater in Alluna would be way too much of an overkill."

Since Wulfric was going to do it no matter what, the least Astrid could do was try to limit the scale of it.

Wulfric’s face showed clear reluctance, like he still thought that wasn’t nearly enough. But in the end, he agreed anyway. "Okay."

Astrid chuckled seeing that.

"Ahem, anyway, Aster, when you’re not so busy anymore, can we meet up in VirtualNet again?" Wulfric asked.

Astrid looked at Wulfric’s hopeful expression. The man looked like a puppy waiting for a treat. He smiled and answered, "Okay."

What else could he say to that?

The next day, inside the Fenris Army’s military base on Alluna...

An announcement was posted all over the base, and soldiers had been gathering around the bulletins to read it since early morning.

[ATTENTION ALL SOLDIERS!

Go to the provided link and take the quiz. Get your code.

When <The Shadow Within> opens in theaters next week, take your code and your ticket to the special booth. You will receive a gift. Do not open it.

Bring the sealed gift directly to the General’s office.

Any soldier who completes this task will receive one-on-one training from the General himself.

P.S. The quiz answer sheet has been sent to your military email. Check your inbox.]

At first, the announcement confused everyone. They understood each part on its own, but when you put it all together, it made little sense. It wasn’t until one soldier, who was a casual fan of Astrid Townsend, said it might be about the actor that everyone started looking it up online.

When they found out about the movie and the special gift fans could get, all they could think was, so their General was a huge fan of Astrid Townsend?

The idea of their general being a fan of an actor seemed ridiculous. But what else could the announcement mean, other than that the general wanted to collect the special gifts? He had even sent out an answer sheet to make sure they passed the quiz to get the code.

So, despite being completely unable to picture their general as an ardent fan, they had no other choice but to believe it.

Once they accepted it, they got excited. If they got the special gift, they would get one-on-one training with the general. For the soldiers who looked up to him, that became the only thing they cared about.

Unlike the excited soldiers, a certain lieutenant looked at the announcement with a complicated expression. Leland sighed. He couldn’t believe the prince was actually using their soldiers for his fan activities. Had he really fallen this far?

No, it was probably more accurate to say the prince had fallen completely for Astrid Townsend.
