The Rise of the Black Plain

Chapter 2931: Ancestral Cult

Chapter 2931: Ancestral Cult

Minos stopped after hearing the last part of his faction mates' explanation and was naturally interested. 'I'm going to need thrones to bring the rest of the family into the realm. I just didn't expect that this would also be an opportunity for me to strengthen myself.'

Lily looked at her father, not knowing what was on his mind, but certain that this would be the main path for them into the Upper Realm.

'We have to fight for our position immediately.' She clenched her fists, thinking that, regardless of whether Minos remained in Devdar's faction or create a group of his own, it was urgent for them to begin their movements.

The three True Celestials remained silent while father and daughter thought, each of the three hoping to resolve what they had started earlier and get on the good side of this new ascended Deity.

'Senior Minos is clearly as strong as Senior Devdar. He'll become a level one member in no time.' Balian considered silently.

Meanwhile, Tally couldn't help but smile, 'We've come to test and recruit him, but perhaps we'll gain more if he takes us into his group of influence. That way we'll be on the Council in no time!'

Minos looked at the coral city around him, seeing how naturally the living beings acted around him, living their immortal, almost carefree lives. Everyone definitely knew about the situation between the lines, but in the realm, those not related to the direct power struggle usually kept their distance, almost as if they were unreachable. That wasn't a fact, but that was how things were. As lord of this realm, he could see this, feeling the emotions of the citizens who were not affiliated to factions, independent so to speak, who were trying as best they could to lead their lives without being carried away by the disputes of the dimension.

The spirituality of each being converged in the same direction, coming together in his position and providing him with special powers that could make him understand the feelings of this populous mass, but also use their senses to reach his entire domain.

These beings were now under his care. They gave him power, but they were also his burden to carry in the disputes ahead.

Looking up, he saw the path he had to follow.

"In that case," Minos opened his mouth and in a millisecond he was no longer standing next to Lily and the other three, appearing almost instantly above his big city. "We'd better establish our position here and now."

Minos said for the entire city to hear, his back to his daughter and the three individuals, looking toward another group he had already sensed was approaching him. But before another situation like the last one developed, he acted.

Bringing his hands together at chest height, Minos condensed the throne of his domain behind him, causing golden pillars to rise at the edges of his territory, while a thin but powerful golden layer covered every corner of the domain, forming a gigantic dome.

In front of him, a golden vortex formed with the condensation of his powers, a mixture of what he had developed with the black hole in his journey and his more recent divine powers.

Those in the city below felt as if Minos was trying to tear the dimension apart and the strongest Celestials in the area could feel, for an instant, the true strength of the new local ruler.

Nel, Tilly and Balian broke out in a cold sweat as they quickly kneeled, feeling an aura as strong as that of a True Celestial at the peak of level 128.

'He's even stronger than the faction leader!' The three thought, seeing that even after Minos' previous demonstration, they had still underestimated him.

Meanwhile, those ahead of Minos at that moment faced the terror of the realm's newest member. As they thought about approaching Minos to test a new member of a rival faction, the group was met with the action of Minos, who mercilessly attacked them.

Golden beams sliced through the sky, leaving rips through space-time, revealing distant stars, before reaching the other level 127 Celestials there to 'welcome' Minos.

Amidst the terrified screams of the pseudo-immortals, the very fabric of inanimate and mineral matter surrounding Minos trembled as he gathered his power into six distinct points. It was as if he were forging stars within his domain. Yet, rather than celestial bodies, six humanoid entities took shape, emerging from the dense concentration of energy and laws that coalesced around them. Each radiated an aura as formidable as that of level 127 True Celestials.

Drawing upon his profound mastery of the laws of existence, Minos imbued his creations not only with immense strength but also with intelligence and unique personalities. Within a mere two minutes, he had reshaped his domain and secured powerful new subordinates, solidifying his dominion.

His family and allies, who had traveled to the Upper Realm to witness his ascension, quickly recognized the magnitude of what was unfolding. They halted their actions, their gazes locking onto him in astonishment. Even the three who had failed in the last phase of the inheritance—some of whom were already at a great distance—turned back toward Minos, compelled by the sheer weight of the moment.

With all eyes upon him, Minos raised his voice for the first time as a newly ascended Deity. "I, Minos Stuart, newly anointed Entitled Deity of this realm, hereby renounce all ties to the Divine Path faction. From this day forth, I establish the Ancestral Cult!"

As his words hung in the air, Minos' declaration took on a life of its own, shattering an ancient pact and ushering in a new era of rules and regulations. With an air of conviction, he announced, "From this moment forward, all who enter the territory of the Ancestral Cult shall be bound by the absolute laws of this land. Starting with the first law: Total Suppression!"

As he spoke, a colossal seal merged with the golden dome, emitting pulses that resonated between the structures Minos had created. The energy returned from the earth and the beings within it, reflecting the desired responses. The locals and Minos' companions felt no discernible change, but those without a direct connection to his new faction were met with a sudden and crippling loss of power.

Thousands were consumed by despair as they realized their abilities to fight had vanished, leaving them helpless against Minos' imposing presence. But the weight of his pressure was suffocating, rendering them immobile, and they could only stay there.

Minos continued, a smile spreading across his face as he contemplated the countless challenges that lay ahead. With a sense of purpose, he addressed his newly created entities. "You are now the pillars of this domain, tasked with establishing the dominance of the Ancestral Cult."

The six creatures, born from Minos' divine power, responded in unison, "Yes, Your Excellency!" Their obedience was absolute, and they awaited their first mission.

"Bring me six thrones," Minos commanded, his eyes gleaming with ambition.

The Entitled Deities who were not part of Minos' domain trembled, desperate to escape the impending trap. They knew Minos couldn't kill them or steal their thrones within the realm, as the rules of the dimension forbade it. However, they also understood that the realm was not as safe as it seemed, and conflicts could still arise as long as the Entitled Deities didn't pose a direct threat to themselves or other residents.

As the Deities hastened to leave and report back to their forces, they feared being trapped within Minos' territory, unwittingly facilitating the crusade he was about to unleash.

Minos' smile grew wider as he observed their futile attempts to escape, his thoughts echoing with a sense of triumph, 'Unfortunately for you, you are already trapped within my domain. You will be able to live and grow here, but you will never be able to wield your powers in combat as long as my seals remain in place.'

Minos' creations gathered dozens of True Celestials, presenting them before their master. The True Celestials had no choice but to kneel, their weakness palpable.

Nel, Tilly, and Balian watched in horror, sensing their own vulnerability.

'Shit! He could already be on the same level as Senior Lydis!' Nel thought, awestruck by Minos' strength.

The first of Minos' creations approached him, saying, "Your Excellency, these Entitled Deities are now your subjects. Now, my brothers and I should take our leave."

Minos nodded, allowing the six creations to depart before each of them disappeared, leaving the realm for the battlefields of the Entitled Deities: the different universes and planes of existence.

'Now begins the last step before I reunite with you, Abby, Gloria, Ruth, and Segiel,' Minos buzzed to himself. With an unyielding resolve, he disappeared from his position, driven to forge an unshakeable foundation for his family to join him in eternity. 'I will not stand idly by.'
