The S-Classes That I Raised

Chapter 361

Chapter 361: Murim Alliance (1)

“Hello.”

Park Yerim greeted the two men lightly and held up Peace.

“Looks flawless, right?”

– Grrr…

Song Taewon’s gaze shifted to Peace, who was growling with clear displeasure.

“It is difficult to recognize his original form, but no dog has eyes that deeply golden.”

“Dog monsters are common. Right, Pea—Choco?”

“…And he doesn’t seem to like his current state.”

“It’s the hat. He hates having his horns covered, but he knows he can’t take it off if he wants to come along, so he’s annoyed. Mister will definitely say you’re cute when he sees you, just hang in there a bit longer.”

As if he understood her words, Peace smoothed out his scrunched-up nose. Checking his wristwatch, Seong Hyunjae spoke.

“Today’s first-class seats on this flight have all been emptied. The remaining seats are filled with ordinary passengers heading to Shanghai.”

Even though China was unstable, flights still operated to major cities. Other regions were under Level 3 travel advisories.

“As scheduled, we’re arriving at Hongqiao International Airport. Everything you’ll need is prepared on board, so just be careful not to get discovered during the flight.”

And then, with a short pause, Seong Hyunjae continued.

“At present, Han Yujin lacks the ability to protect himself. If he hadn’t lost the Earrings, a B‑Rank barrier could have been used—but act with utmost caution regarding this matter—”

“We have Grace, don’t we?”

At Han Yuhyun’s words, Seong Hyunjae faintly twisted the corner of his lips. In his hand was a beautiful longsword with a glass-like blade. A soft blue light shimmered through the sword as all three turned their gaze toward it. Since few knew Grace’s true identity, the trio looked puzzled when—

– Chirp.

A familiar bluebird appeared. At the same time, Han Yuhyun’s face turned pale. Song Taewon’s expression also hardened, and Park Yerim’s eyes widened in shock.

“Regrettably, Grace is in my hands.”

“…Give it back.”

Grinding his teeth, Han Yuhyun stepped forward. The thick, unrestrained killing intent radiating from him made even Park Yerim and Song Taewon tense, despite not being the targets. But Seong Hyunjae calmly returned Grace to his inventory. Han Yuhyun looked ready to leap at any moment, his whole body taut with tension.

“Han Yujin entrusted it to me. Even if you are family, I cannot return it—please understand. I will deliver it to him myself, so rest assured.”

“Why… why is Hyung… handing that over to you.”

“If the aircraft is damaged, preparing another will take about a day.”

Drawing a clear line, Seong Hyunjae’s voice was cold, showing no intention to soothe. His gaze toward Han Yuhyun was equally frigid. Han Yuhyun clenched his fists tightly. So that’s why he told him just before departure. Delaying here would only slow down saving his brother. Suppressing his rage, Han Yuhyun boarded the plane. Park Yerim followed behind, carrying Peace.

“…Mister will be okay, right?”

Despite her worried tone, Han Yuhyun couldn’t answer—he gritted his teeth. His head and vision were both burning red with fury.

Part of why Han Yuhyun trusted in Han Yujin’s safety was the usefulness of his skills—but Grace had also been a factor. Hidden in the inventory, it was an item that could allow him to escape crisis at least once—maybe even multiple times depending on how he used it. As long as it wasn’t taken, no one could hurt Han Yujin.

But now, the strongest piece of protective gear had left his brother’s hands.

Han Yuhyun’s gaze dropped to the back of his hand. His insides twisted. He recalled his brother’s voice complaining—saying it was just a reassurance item, something unbreakable, so why was a wound even involved?

“Han Yuhyun!”

A mass of water formed in midair and flew toward Han Yuhyun. At the same time, flames flared briefly.

Boom!

With a loud sound, steam spread out. Han Yuhyun furrowed his brows and looked back at Park Yerim. She tilted her chin, glaring back.

“To cool your head a little.”

“…”

“Even if you’re worried, it’ll take at least three hours to get where Mister is. Just getting to Shanghai takes about two.”

“I know.”

“Your hand’s fine, isn’t it? If you get hurt, then even I won’t stop you. But until then, we have to stick to the plan.”

Park Yerim’s tone was gentle, coaxing. Han Yuhyun raised an eyebrow slightly.

“If I couldn’t control myself, I wouldn’t have gotten on the plane so quietly.”

“That’s true, but still—just in case.”

“Don’t worry.”

“Okay.”

With a shrug, Park Yerim flopped into an empty seat. Han Yuhyun also sat down and let out a long sigh.

A little later, the plane began to move slowly. After stopping at the gate to board passengers, it taxied to the runway and soon took off with a slight jolt. Once the seatbelt signs turned off, Park Yerim was the first to get up and rummage through the prepared luggage.

“There’s a wig too.”

Following the instructions included, she put on a half-wig and examined herself in the mirror from different angles.

“Feels obvious… What do you think?”

“Most people are wearing wigs anyway.”

“Ah, that’s true.”

The Murim Alliance had only existed for just over two years. There had surely been women with short hair, and in just two years, growing it out long was impossible.

“There’s both the outfit from the movie and the changpao. Which one should I wear?”

After a moment of deliberation, Park Yerim picked up a blue martial robe and pulled the seat divider curtain closed. Han Yuhyun also put on the half-wig and changed clothes.

“If you cover your face with a black cloth too, you’ll look completely shadowed. Might even rival Choco.”

Park Yerim laughed as she looked at Han Yuhyun after changing. Then she pulled a white cloth mask over her face below her eyes. The fluttering thin fabric didn’t seem particularly effective at hiding her face, but the metal ornament on the cloth’s tie was an item that distorted recognition.

Before long, the in-flight announcement for arrival began to play. In Korea, it would have been dawn by now, but due to the time difference, it was still dark outside. The plane soon landed, and the two of them rose from their seats.

“You remember the precautions, right?”

“Yeah. Be careful with skills when witnesses might appear. And if we’re caught, silence them completely.”

Han Yuhyun drew the Sword of the Corrupting Sovereign. Since it hadn’t been publicly revealed yet, it was actually useful for concealing his identity. Park Yerim gathered her gear and glanced out the window. A brief silence fell.

Beep—

A low tone rang out. It signaled that all the passengers, including the pilot and crew, had disembarked. At that moment, the Sword of the Corrupting Sovereign transformed into its chain form and swung wide.

Slice!

The jet-black blade traced a round arc and instantly sliced the airplane body in two. Park Yerim and Peace slipped out through a gap in the ceiling, and Han Yuhyun swung the sword again. This time, it drew a long horizontal line. Sparks flared along its path.

Boom!

The tail of the airplane exploded with a deafening roar. At the same time, Han Yuhyun exited the aircraft. The three of them stood atop the bisected plane, its rear now engulfed in flames.

“It’s an attack!”

With someone’s shout, alarms blared loudly. Scanning the surroundings, Park Yerim pulled a weapon from her inventory. It wasn’t her usual Farmine’s Icewood Spear, but a large bow. The Icewood Spear had been left with Yu Myungwoo for upgrades.

“Didn’t get much practice with this.”

Despite her words, Park Yerim smoothly nocked an arrow and aimed the silver bow—just slightly shorter than her own height—at the runway. The arrow flew through the air in an instant. A blast followed, and the thick runway pavement split apart.

“Evelyn unni’s bow is amazing~.”

The bow Park Yerim borrowed was none other than Evelyn’s latest weapon, completed by Yu Myungwoo. Lending an S‑Rank weapon was no small thing, but Evelyn had eagerly handed over the bow—practically begging Yu Myungwoo to take note—and even taught Park Yerim how to use it.

“Make sure the runway’s unusable, and destroy the planes as much as you can.”

“I know!”

The second arrow was set on the bowstring. The specially crafted arrow brimmed with mana and was launched into the dark sky. Boom! The empty runway cracked and upheaved like an earthquake had struck.

“Stop right there!”

Of course, their rampage couldn’t go unchecked. Chinese Hunters guarding the airport began to swarm in. Ignoring them, Park Yerim fired a third arrow. With most civilians already evacuated, this time she targeted a plane. As if struck by a missile, the aircraft exploded in flames and smoke.

Leaving behind Park Yerim, who looked ready to blow up all of Hongqiao Airport, Han Yuhyun moved. Jumping from the plane’s nose, he swung the Sword of the Corrupting Sovereign at the oncoming Hunters. The ground cracked and crumbled under the force of his sword wind alone. Though the Chinese Hunters and trained soldiers quickly went on the defensive—

“Gahk!”

“Urgh!”

Their barriers shattered on contact with the blade, and the Hunters behind them were caught in the strike. As the front line collapsed, Han Yuhyun closed the distance in an instant and plunged into the enemy ranks. A pit formed where he landed, and chunks of concrete burst upward. Amidst a storm of flying debris, the Sword of the Corrupting Sovereign and its sheath began their dance.

There weren’t any S‑Ranks, but even the A‑Rank Hunters scattered among them couldn’t withstand the incoming attacks. With every step Han Yuhyun took, the number of standing enemies rapidly decreased.

Bang! Boom!

Behind them, the destruction of the planes and runway continued. Flames soared into the air, lighting up the shut-down airport as if the sun had risen early.

“Last one!”

Park Yerim shouted and released the bowstring. The sole remaining aircraft exploded. At the same time, Park Yerim grabbed her gear and jumped from the plane with Peace. Around Han Yuhyun, the ground was littered with fallen Hunters. The uninjured soldiers couldn’t approach—they kept their distance, watching warily.

“No S‑Rank Hunters here?”

As Park Yerim approached with light steps and asked, a signal flare shot up in the distance. The two of them—and one monster—immediately moved toward it. There, dressed in changpao, stood a young woman with two motorbikes.

“Eun Sesun.”

She said only her name before mounting a bike.

“I’ve never ridden a bike before, so I’ll go with this unni.”

Park Yerim got on behind Eun Sesun, and Peace leapt up onto the bike Han Yuhyun was riding. The moment the two bikes started up, pursuers were already on their tail. With sirens blaring, more than a dozen cars and bikes began chasing them down.

“We’re heading straight to Pudong Airport, but are you sure about this?”

Eun Sesun asked as they sped down the road.

“Unlike Hongqiao, they’ll be prepared.”

“It’s fine! I don’t care how many show up—as long as we hit and run, we’ll be fine!”

Besides, Pudong Airport was near the sea. Worst-case scenario, they could wipe everything clean without leaving any witnesses.

Road restrictions seemed to have begun, as surrounding traffic gradually thinned out. Along with that, attacks started flying in. Park Yerim drew her bow again, batting away incoming arrows. Then she stood up on the bike, turning around with her robe flaring wildly—and fired in a single motion. Boom! A car with its front bumper pierced rolled away, billowing smoke.

“If only I could use my skills!”

She could’ve blown them away in one shot! Grumbling, Park Yerim fired arrows in quick succession. Cars were easy targets thanks to their size, but just like them, the Hunters riding bikes dodged and struck back. A spear laced with flames grazed just past Park Yerim and shattered the pavement. Eun Sesun briefly accelerated, leaping over the burning crater. Screeech—wheels scraping asphalt echoed harshly.

Right after, Park Yerim summoned a large amount of mana. The silver hue wrapping her bow intensified, and she fired a mana-charged arrow with force.

Boom!

The arrow struck deep into the road and exploded. Several meters of pavement blew away at once, forming a massive crater. A few of the persistently chasing bikes were flung away, and even those who remained intact faltered to a stop.

“I can break roads too, you know?”

“Don’t overexert yourself.”

“Don’t worry~ Oh, up ahead!”

Park Yerim, who had just pulled out a mana potion, shouted. A barricade had appeared on the road. As if expecting it, the bike Han Yuhyun rode surged forward with a skid. It wasn’t just a barricade—large armored vehicles completely blocked the road, layered with barriers on top.

Han Yuhyun glanced briefly at Eun Sesun as he held the Sword of the Corrupting Sovereign in longsword form. Then he kicked off the bike and leapt into the air. Eun Sesun quickly threw a wire to stabilize the now-riderless bike.

“He’s coming!”

Soldiers made up of Hunters tensed, readying themselves. Suspended midair, Han Yuhyun rapidly scanned the area. No cameras, no witnesses. Blue-black flames rose along the blade—and he dropped straight down toward the clustered armored vehicles.

Crunch—! The vehicles crumpled like wads of paper, and the flames spread with a rush. The barriers melted like summer snow, and before anyone could even react, the dark fire engulfed everything. Neither the barricade nor the armored vehicles could even slow them down, and over the wrecked road, a path of ice spread slick and fast. Han Yuhyun climbed back onto the bike Eun Sesun had steadied, and Park Yerim melted the ice trail to erase their tracks.

As if nothing had ever interrupted them, the two bikes revved their engines and raced unimpeded toward Pudong Airport.
