Chapter 1633: Chapter 1633: Fulfilling a Long-Held Wish

Ling Hua, my wife, has remained at the peak of Saint Realm for a very long time. Despite trying many methods, she has been unable to break through to the Void God Realm.

Even Jing Yun himself thought that Ling Hua might not be able to enter the Void God Realm in this lifetime.

A Martial Artist in the Saint Realm naturally has a long life span compared to ordinary people or ordinary Martial Artists, but even a Saint Realm Martial Artist can only live for tens of thousands of years, far less than a Void God.

Jing Yun never imagined that with just a casual wave of his father’s hand, a ball of milky yellow light entered Ling Hua’s body, allowing her to break through immediately. Not only break through, but her realm seemed very stable, and her aura was exceptionally strong.

When he had first entered the Void God Realm, it had taken him quite some time to stabilize, whereas Ling Hua’s breakthrough to Void God resulted in an instant stabilization of her realm.

Ling Hua also showed an incredulous look.

"It seems... I’ve truly stepped into the Void God Realm." Ling Hua said, hardly believing it, yet exuberantly.

She felt the surging power within her, far stronger than before.

"Thank you, father-in-law!" Ling Hua quickly bowed to thank Jing Yan.

Both Ling Hua and Jing Yun felt as though they were dreaming. That Jing Yan, his own father, could make a Saint Realm Martial Artist enter the Void God Realm with just a wave of the hand—what kind of power was this?

"No need for such formality. You are Jing Yun’s wife, and we are family. Besides, it’s not a difficult task for me," Jing Yan waved his hand, dismissing the gesture.

Elevating Ling Hua’s realm to the Void God Level did not consume much Chaos Qi.

Jing Yun and Ling Hua, these Martial Artists, would have an opportunity to experience a Chaos Qi baptism after entering the God Realm. It wasn’t that Jing Yan didn’t want to give them more Chaos Qi now, but if they absorbed a large amount now, the Chaos Qi they could absorb after entering the God Realm would certainly be less.

That would be wasteful.

After they experience the Chaos Qi baptism in the God Realm, Jing Yan intends to gift them some more Chaos Qi, maximizing the benefit.

"Jing Yun, outside Donglin City earlier, you mentioned that Void Gods from those noble families were pressuring you because someone in the family was supporting them. Explain what’s really happening," Jing Yan asked.

Having confirmed Ling Hua’s identity and the Ling Family’s existence, Jing Yan resolved one concern and then inquired about internal family matters.

"Father, indeed there are some in the family who are dissatisfied with the amount of resources the Zhou Family receives, including some of the family’s Supreme Elders. They believe the Zhou Family are outsiders and have no right to obtain resources from the Jing Family," Jing Yun said.

"Supreme Elders? Who are they?" Jing Yan asked.

"They hold very high status, some even from the same generation as father’s family elders," Jing Yun replied.

"Also, perhaps worried about offending me, they roped in Jing Bao to take the lead." Jing Yun’s face changed slightly, showing anger as he spoke.

"Jing Bao?" Jing Yan frowned, not recalling the name.

"Yes, Jing Bao is the son of Jing Tianying’s grandfather. I should actually call him Uncle Jing Bao, as he is of the same generation as you, father," Jing Yun said with a wry smile.

Back then in the Jing Family, apart from Jing Qingyan’s father, Jing Chenxing, Jing Tianying was the closest to Jing Yan.

Jing Yan was aware that Jing Tianying had passed away during his return to the Low-class World. It came as a surprise that Jing Tianying left behind a son. Clearly, Jing Tianying’s son was born after Jing Yan went to the God Realm.

If Jing Tianying’s son Jing Bao is leading this, then handling this matter really requires careful consideration. Jing Yan doesn’t mind setting an example to instill fear, but he could never kill Jing Tianying’s son. Otherwise, how could he repay Jing Tianying’s kindness to him back then?

"What is Jing Bao’s personality like? What is his strength?" Jing Yan pondered and asked.

"Father, actually Jing Bao has a pretty good personality. He is now in the Saint Realm. However, he is somewhat weak-willed, liking to hear comforting words. Some people flatter him and he believes they truly mean well. He doesn’t realize they’re just exploiting him as a tool. I have talked to him before, but he simply wouldn’t listen, and I couldn’t be too forceful, so I had to give up," Jing Yun said helplessly.

"I understand. As long as there are no issues with his character, it is not a major problem. We’ll address this at tomorrow’s family assembly. Now, I have to find some old friends from back then, you take care of your matters," Jing Yan said, his figure flickering before disappearing.

Although Jing Yan knew that not many of his old friends were likely still alive, he still wanted to find them, and to see if he could help those who were. Naturally, those old friends, if alive, should at least have Saint Realm cultivation, otherwise they wouldn’t have survived till now.

...

Inside a courtyard at the Jing Family Mansion.

Several figures were seated within one of the rooms.

"Jing Yan has actually returned!"

"The family assembly is to be held tomorrow; it’s quite troublesome! I’m afraid Jing Yun may suspect that it was us secretly fanning the flames, supporting those families to apply pressure."

"Elder Jing Bao, if Jing Yan brings this up tomorrow, you have to step forward. You are Jing Tianying’s son, and back then, Jing Yan had a very deep relationship with your father Jing Tianying."

Several people spoke up one after another, with everyone’s eyes ultimately turning toward an old man in a dark red robe—Jing Bao, son of Jing Tianying.

Though Jing Bao’s Martial Arts Talent was decent, it wasn’t considered top-notch in this world. In truth, his stepping into the Saint Realm was largely due to the family’s support. He received comparatively more resources.

"Elders, though Jing Yan had a good relationship with my father, my father is now deceased. Who knows whether he will honor their past friendship?" Jing Bao said with a furrowed brow.

"Elder Jing Bao, rest assured on that account. Jing Yan is said to greatly value past relationships. Before he left this Low-class World, almost everyone close to him received favorable treatment. Look at the Zhou Family—despite the years, our family still takes good care of them, isn’t it?" an elder said.

"Yes, indeed!"

"It’s true that Jing Yan cherishes bonds of friendship," the elders evidently hoped Jing Bao would step forward and take responsibility for the matter.

"Elder Jing Bao, while Jing Yan won’t care about us, he’s bound to care about you. We can only count on you," a relatively younger Saint Realm elder said.
