Luo Bing and the others all looked ashen.

To give up one-third of their Divine Soul Body would mean immense pain even if they survived. The pain of having the Divine Soul Body stripped away was intolerable. Normally, losing even a small portion could severely damage their Primordial Energy, much less losing a whole third at once.

Moreover, this All Things Realm Being seemed to be an extremely evil presence. Indeed, he was a particularly wicked All Things Realm Being, a ghost cultivator from the Chaos Void. In his black urn were countless Resentful Spirits he kept. He required the Divine Soul Bodies of living beings to feed these spirits. The stronger these spirits grew, the more powerful he became.

The reason he needed Luo Bing and the others to voluntarily offer their Divine Soul Body was because only a willing offering had spiritual integrity. Also, if he used force, Luo Bing and the others would certainly resist and might even destroy their own Divine Soul Body.

At that moment, a detached voice echoed.

A soft sound followed, accompanied by the arrival of a figure in a long blue robe.

The newcomer was Jing Yan.

While on the small continent, Jing Yan had sensed the aura fluctuations of the Devouring Sky Clan creature and followed the trail, happening upon the scene where the gray-robed All Things Realm was threatening Luo Bing and the others to surrender their Divine Soul Body.

"Hmm? Who are you?" The gray-robed All Things Realm narrowed his eyes, watching Jing Yan with caution as he arrived.

He hadn’t noticed Jing Yan’s approach, suggesting Jing Yan might be more than just an ordinary being, possessing considerable power.

"Jing Yan, big brother?" Luo Bing exclaimed softly upon recognizing Jing Yan, momentarily stunned.

Jing Yan arrived in front of Luo Bing and nodded.

"It’s okay now!" Jing Yan said softly with a reassuring smile to Luo Bing.

The others with Luo Bing exchanged glances between her and Jing Yan. Some had heard of Jing Yan. Though his time on the small Chaos Continent was short, he had made quite a name for himself. Many knew he had killed Ju E, a Four-step Dao Method Realm creature of the Devouring Sky Clan.

"Jing Yan! You are that Jing Yan?" The gray-robed All Things Realm seemed to recognize Jing Yan’s name too.

In fact, he had seen Jing Yan’s likeness. As a member of the Void Divine Hall, he was aware of the bounty on Jing Yan issued by the same institution.

"Haha... I never expected you would dare leave the Hongjun Heavenly Palace! Very well, whether it’s capturing or killing you, it’s a tremendous merit!" The gray-robed All Things Realm’s eyes glimmered with excitement.

"Void Divine Hall?" Jing Yan scrutinized the gray-robed All Things Realm Being this time and noted that his garments were quite similar to those worn by Die Dong, whom he had slain before; they were standard attire of the Void Divine Hall.

"The Void Divine Hall, truly a filthy place, taking in even evil ghost cultivators like you!" Jing Yan shook his head, speaking with disdain.

Ghost cultivators were all without exception malevolent. In Chaos, ghost cultivators were almost always elusive beings, as almost no one viewed them favorably. Some beings with a short fuse would outright attack on sight.

This resulted in ghost cultivators mostly being loose cultivators. Major organizations had rules barring ghost cultivators from joining. The Hongjun Heavenly Palace, for instance, would never permit ghost cultivators to enter for training.

On the wanted lists of many Chaos Countries, apart from creatures of the Devouring Sky Clan, the names of ghost cultivators frequently appeared.

"Big brother Jing Yan, this person is an All Things Realm expert. He wants us to give up part of our Divine Soul Body before he’s willing to kill that Devouring Sky Clan creature to save us," Luo Bing whispered to Jing Yan.

"What he wants isn’t just part of your Divine Soul Body. Once you open up your Divine Soul Body, he will let his Resentful Spirits devour it completely. Ghost cultivators are entirely malevolent. Their promises hold no credibility," Jing Yan said to Luo Bing and the others.

Luo Bing and the others’ faces turned grim. They knew deep down that they couldn’t trust the ghost cultivator’s words, but they were out of options. They couldn’t contend with the Devouring Sky Clan creature, let alone an All Things Realm ghost cultivator.

"Are you done talking?"

"Jing Yan, are you surrendering to your fate, or do you intend to resist? If you surrender, I can grant you a quick death. If you resist, heh, I wouldn’t mind letting you experience utter torment!" the All Things Realm ghost cultivator threatened arrogantly.

"Do you think you have what it takes?" Jing Yan retorted with a snort of laughter.

He moved slightly, extending his hand.

A surge of explosive Divine Soul Power bursts forth. Amidst the Chaos Void, a vast palm seal materialized. It shot directly toward the Devouring Sky Clan creature trapped by the Resentful Spirits. Despite its unmatched defense, the creature was riddled with wounds, oozing black blood, and made pained sounds from the relentless gnawing and biting by the Resentful Spirits.

As the palm seal descended, the Resentful Spirits let out heart-wrenching cries.

"What?"

"No!"

The All Things Realm ghost cultivator’s face turned ashen. Being one with the Resentful Spirits, he instantaneously realized that massive losses were inflicted upon them in a blink of an eye. He hurriedly shook his black urn, reclaiming the spirits.

"Damn... He, this seems to be the power of All Things Realm! Wasn’t Jing Yan at the Daoist Realm? How did he ascend to the All Things Realm so rapidly?" Having retrieved the spirits, the All Things Realm ghost cultivator looked at Jing Yan with wide eyes, breathing heavily in disbelief.

"Poof!" The palm seal landed on the Devouring Sky Clan creature.

After a soft sound, the enormous body of this All Things Realm creature exploded in Chaos.
