The Sword God of the Universe

Chapter 2026: Complete Hongmeng Dao Pattern

Chapter 2026: Chapter 2026: Complete Hongmeng Dao Pattern

Near the chaotic vortex of the homeland universe, Jing Yan thoroughly inspected inside and outside the great array that Ancestor Hong Jun once set up.

Although this great array was severely damaged, its foundation remained intact. Thus, Jing Yan only needed to repair the array with many Array Masters from Hongjun Heavenly Palace, simplifying the task considerably.

Jing Yan will enhance the power of the restrictive array.

When Ancestor Hong Jun initially set this array, he didn’t exert too much effort, only arranging it simply. This was reasonable, as setting up the most top-tier array would require too much time and materials. Even for Ancestor Hong Jun, completing it alone would be daunting.

A seed universe is not a terribly significant place, so there’s no need for an overly intricate array setup.

Now, however, Jing Yan would certainly strive to set up this array to protect his homeland universe properly.

"Palace Master, may we start setting it up?" asked a Hall Master from Hongjun Heavenly Palace skilled in formations.

"Begin!" Jing Yan nodded.

From then on, Jing Yan led, and this Hall Master, along with a group of Array Masters from the Heavenly Palace, swiftly refined and repaired the array according to Jing Yan’s plan.

After investing a great deal of materials, the restrictive array was completed in seven years. With this array, even if a Title Controller wanted to enter from outside, they would have to put in some effort.

What Jing Yan wanted wasn’t necessarily to fully withstand a Title Controller; if indeed one comes, this array could buy him some time, and that’s all he needed.

In the homeland universe, some Life in the Taoist Realm accompanied Jing Yan away from their home universe this time. Gao Feng, Bai Xue, and the Nine Heavens Divine Phoenix stayed in the homeland universe for now. Gao Feng had asked Jing Yan if they could enter the Endless Chaos with him, and after considering, Jing Yan decided they should remain in the Seed Universe.

Those who left the Seed Universe were primarily the Initial Creatures born along with the universe. Jing Yan settled them in Chenyuan Emperor’s Shelun Country. Due to their weak strength and relatively poor talent, they could not enter Hongjun Heavenly Palace, as per the rules, and Jing Yan couldn’t break these rules.

Settling them in Shelun Country was quite appropriate. Primordial Chaos Hole Ancestor, Nine Heavens Golden Dragon, and others had also been cultivating in Shelun Country.

Upon returning to Hongjun Heavenly Palace, Jing Yan quickly immersed himself in closed-door cultivation.

Meanwhile, in the Endless Chaos, Devouring Sky Clan creatures still moved actively, plundering resources everywhere. Even though countless of them were killed by Chaos Creatures, their high-ranking members seemed indifferent to the loss of so many clan members.

Ten thousand years...

Thirty thousand years...

A hundred thousand years...

When time had passed ninety thousand years...

On this day, in a chamber of Hongjun Heavenly Palace, Jing Yan suddenly opened his eyes.

"Condense!" Jing Yan uttered softly.

In front of his finger, countless golden lines emerged. These golden Divine Patterns rapidly changed, and in the blink of an eye, they formed a golden Taiji Pattern. This wasn’t the end; after the first Taiji Pattern condensed, numerous golden Divine Patterns continued to form a second Taiji Pattern.

Soon, a third Taiji Pattern also successfully formed.

The three Taiji Patterns formed a triangle in space. Each of these patterns appeared to be independent, but Jing Yan knew they were interconnected, transmitting energy instantly and resonating with one another, emanating terrifying destructive power.

"Hongmeng Dao Pattern!"

"Finally, I’ve mastered the Ninth Layer of the Hongmeng Dao Pattern!" Jing Yan nodded quietly to himself.

"As expected of a top-tier Chaos Level Secret Technique, its attack power surpasses even the Ancient Tree Inheritance." Jing Yan sensed the power contained within the condensation of the Ninth Layer Hongmeng Dao Pattern.

The Hongmeng Dao Pattern leans toward attack among Chaos Secret Techniques, while the Ancient Tree Inheritance is a comprehensive Body Refining Secret Method, making them different from each other. Comparing attack power alone, the Hongmeng Dao Pattern is somewhat stronger than the Ancient Tree Inheritance.

The power of the Ninth Layer Hongmeng Dao Pattern surpasses that of the Eighth Layer by more than tenfold. Cultivating the Hongmeng Dao Pattern to the Ninth Layer is Great Perfection, and although only one layer separates the Eighth from the Ninth, the difference between perfection and imperfection is significant. The explosive increase in power from the Eighth to the Ninth Layer was within Jing Yan’s expectations.

The Ancient Tree Inheritance likewise experienced a remarkable increase in power from the Eighth to the Ninth Layer.

Moreover, after cultivating the Ancient Tree Inheritance to the Ninth Layer, Jing Yan still had a strange feeling that there seemed to be aspects he hadn’t fully mastered or understood.

"Incorporating the Ninth Layer Hongmeng Dao Pattern into the Chaos Sword makes it even more powerful!"

"But..."

"My realm still hasn’t stepped into the Title Controller level. Previously, I thought my realm might advance from the Controller to the Title Controller level upon mastering the Ninth Layer Hongmeng Dao Pattern. Now it appears my estimate was off. So, what exactly is needed to truly enter the Title Controller realm?" Jing Yan pondered deeply.

Other Title Controllers in Chaos have only mastered one top-tier Chaos Secret Technique. Jing Yan, having mastered both the Hongmeng Dao Pattern and Ancient Tree Inheritance, still isn’t a Title Controller. Even if the Ninth Layer of Ancient Tree Inheritance isn’t perfect, the Ninth Layer of Hongmeng Dao Pattern certainly is, yet why can’t he step into the Title Controller?

"Could it be that one must create a top-tier Chaos Secret Technique themselves to truly become a Title Controller?" Ultimately, Jing Yan considered this possibility to be the most plausible among all possibilities.

"Let’s begin!" Jing Yan dispelled all distractions.

Jing Yan began to painstakingly perfect his Chaos Sword, which merged the Five Elements Attribute and Void Path. Jing Yan had already mastered the Void Path; his next step was to also master the relevant Five Elements Attribute laws to the Great Dao level, at which point the structure of the Chaos Sword Secret Technique would be complete.

The Five Elements Attribute Dao Techniques are numerous; among the Three Thousand Great Dao in Chaos, about one-fifth directly or indirectly relate to the Five Elements Attribute. For instance, Water and Fire Dao, Earth Dao, Light Rain Dao, Fiery Flame Dao, and Rotten Wood Dao are all directly related to the Five Elements.

Jing Yan doesn’t intend to master all Five Elements-related Dao Techniques; even if he had three heads and six arms, it wouldn’t be feasible. He needs only to selectively comprehend some and elevate them to the Great Dao level.
