Chapter 2082: I’m Still Alive

Chapter 2082: I’m Still Alive

In silent tranquility, a white figure appeared in the courtyard.

The white figure stood behind Bai Xue, but Bai Xue was completely unaware. It wasn’t until an arm rested on her shoulder that Bai Xue shuddered and turned around in surprise.

When she saw the face that had haunted her dreams, tears fell like broken pearls.

"Hopefully, this dream will never end." Bai Xue whispered softly.

She believed she was in a dream.

The one who came behind Bai Xue was, naturally, Jing Yan.

"This is not a dream. I’m back." Jing Yan said gently, caressing Bai Xue’s cheek with his hand.

Upon hearing Jing Yan’s words, Bai Xue’s tear-stained face revealed a hint of a smile. Yet, she still thought it was a dream, one with Jing Yan in it.

After a long while, Bai Xue realized she was not in a dream. Jing Yan had truly returned.

Jing Yan was alive.

The two embraced each other, unwilling to part for a long time.

When they finally separated, Jing Yan waved his arm, and the space slightly distorted. Gao Feng emerged from within the subtly distorted space. At this moment, Gao Feng was also bewildered, clueless about what was happening.

Seeing Bai Xue and Jing Yan standing in the courtyard, Gao Feng’s body began to tremble lightly. Gao Feng had become much thinner. Learning of Jing Yan’s death, Gao Feng had considered following him, and if not for Jing Yun and Jing Dongxue noticing their mother’s unusual state, Gao Feng might have already died.

The three of them sat in the courtyard, talking for a long time.

In Chaos, the Ultimate Land.

Jing Yan, in a black robe, appeared in the Hongjun Heavenly Palace of the Ultimate Land.

Lady Nüwa was in a room in the Heavenly Hall of the palace, where numerous treasures left by Jing Yan were placed.

Every now and then, Lady Nüwa would come to this room to look at the pieces Jing Yan had left behind. These treasures seemed to carry Jing Yan’s aura.

At this moment, Lady Nüwa stood before the treasures, stretching out her fair hand, gently stroking each item.

"Dao Master... Lord Taoist?" Lady Nüwa looked up once more and saw Jing Yan, standing across and clad in a black robe.

Her heart skipped a beat.

"It’s me!" Jing Yan smiled gently.

"Lady Nüwa, long time no see!" Jing Yan said, looking at Lady Nüwa.

"You... you weren’t..." Lady Nüwa was at a loss for words.

"I’m alive." Jing Yan gently shook his head.

"That’s wonderful! Truly wonderful! Lord Taoist, I thought you..." Lady Nüwa exclaimed with joy.

The entire Chaos believed Jing Yan had perished, yet who would have thought that millions of years later, Jing Yan would return.

In her joy, Lady Nüwa’s eyes also showed a hint of confusion. She realized that Jing Yan Daoist’s aura seemed more Mysterious now. While Jing Yan Daoist’s realm appeared to be only the Taoist Realm, the aura he emitted evoked a feeling of reverence. She could even sense the Supreme Rule circulating within Jing Yan.

It was as if she was not facing Jing Yan but the Supreme Rule itself.

The Supreme Rule is the highest Law within this Chaos, even Title Controllers find it hard to touch it. The operation of Chaos, all of it is established under the constraints of the Supreme Rule.

Jing Yan and Lady Nüwa conversed in this inner hall for quite a while before leaving.

Jing Yan, however, took only some of the treasures he had left, leaving the rest for the Hongjun Heavenly Palace. The items Jing Yan took included the Qiankun World, Void Eye, Shadow Logic Divine Cloth, and a few other items he thought he could use.

Though he currently controlled a Chaos, he still knew little about things Beyond Chaos. The Void Eye and Shadow Logic Divine Cloth were introduced into this Chaos by Luo Dejie, and possibly from these treasures, more information about Otherworldly Chaos could be uncovered.

As for other consumable resources, Jing Yan almost completely left them behind. Within this Chaos, Jing Yan couldn’t cultivate or enhance his realm. Having mastered Chaos and represented the Supreme Rule, absorbing resources would be pointless.

Simply put, if Jing Yan wished, he could freely absorb all resources within this Chaos, even those held by other Life forms, he could forcibly take. But such absorption had no significance; his realm wouldn’t improve because of it.

In this Chaos, Jing Yan is invincible.

A mere thought could kill other Chaos Creatures. Even the will of Title Controller level strong ones couldn’t withstand Jing Yan’s will. Jing Yan’s will is the Chaos Origin Will.

Luoshui Divine Palace!

The Yihua Palace Master of Luoshui Divine Palace, sat cross-legged with closed eyes, in mediation.

For these millions of years, the Yihua Palace Master has never slackened in cultivation; she seeks to grow stronger. She has never given up on searching for news of Emperor Donghuang. Yet, with her current strength, entering the Purple Thunder Forbidden Zone is difficult, let alone discovering the cause of Emperor Donghuang’s disappearance.

Hence, she strives to cultivate, hoping to advance further.

The Yihua Palace Master once sought Jing Yan, requesting him to enter the Purple Thunder Forbidden Zone with her. However, due to the Devouring Heaven Clan creatures’ chaos, although Jing Yan expressed willingness to join her, the journey had to wait until the Devouring Heaven Clan creatures were dealt with.

Later, Lord Daoist Luo Dejie invaded this Chaos, and Jing Yan Daoist eventually had to fuse with the Chaos with his own body; she knew she couldn’t enter the Purple Thunder Forbidden Zone with Jing Yan Daoist anymore.

After the great calamity, she spoke about it with Sword Emperor Lishu, but Sword Emperor Lishu did not agree to her request.

Sword Emperor Lishu said he was already very tired and only wished to find a hidden place to retire. The Yihua Palace Master understood Sword Emperor Lishu’s mindset, so she said nothing more.

"Yihua Palace Master, long time no see, I hope I’m not interrupting your cultivation?"

The Yihua Palace Master was meditating when she suddenly heard a voice. The voice seemed right in front of her.

Hearing such a voice, she ceased cultivating and opened her eyes in surprise. Where she was, was the most securely guarded place within the Luoshui Divine Palace. Not to mention the Chaos Creatures outside, but even those Controllers within the Luoshui Divine Palace couldn’t enter without her permission. Yet the voice seemed right in front of her, undeniably shocking her.

She opened her pretty eyes, yet saw Jing Yan standing several meters away, clad in a black robe, looking at her with a faint smile.

"Lord Taoist? You..." The Yihua Palace Master held her breath, gazing unwaveringly at the figure.

"Haha, I’m not dead, I’m alive. This time I’ve come to see if you’re ready to enter the Purple Thunder Forbidden Zone." Jing Yan asked with a smile.
