THE VILLAIN'S POV

Chapter 936: The Wall of Fate (1)

Chapter 936: The Wall of Fate (1)

He decided to reveal the truth to the creatures of the Land of Survival.

Disguising himself beneath a different appearance and concealing both his face and identity, Agaroth traveled from one great civilization to another.

Wherever he went, he always sought out the strongest and highest-ranking individual he could find.

Then he delivered to them the horrifying truth they had all lived their entire lives without knowing.

He told the first members of the Pantheon.

He told the Light Bearers.

Then he moved on to others.

But their reactions were nothing like what Agaroth had expected.

Some called him insane.

Others even attacked him.

They rejected his words, while some demanded proof of what he claimed.

But Agaroth had none.

There was simply no way to prove something so utterly absurd.

And the more fiercely they denied him, the more Agaroth came to see them as pitiful creatures.

Those who attacked and fought him were all crushed beneath his strength.

Although Clea’s seal had halted his growth, Agaroth still possessed more than enough power to defeat even the strongest beings within the Land of Survival.

He had begun the journey alone.

And in the end, he finished it alone as well.

Not a single one of them believed him.

That experience forced Agaroth to realize something.

Had he never met Frey and the rest of his Writer siblings, he would have been exactly like them.

He would have lived his entire life in ignorance, never once discovering the truth.

That realization only strengthened his determination to leave the Land of Survival.

More than ever before, escaping this world became everything to him.

His entire existence began revolving around that single purpose.

And although the wait was long...

The day finally came.

The moment of truth drew closer than ever before.

After a long absence, Frey returned to the Land of Survival.

Seth came with him.

So did the High Father whom Agaroth had not seen in a very long time, Abraham...

And Audrey.

They had finally managed to convince them after considerable effort.

Abraham possessed the same dignified presence Agaroth remembered from long ago, with flowing white hair and a light beard of the same color.

He was handsome, his features carrying that familiar composure and wisdom exactly as Agaroth remembered them from the distant past.

Audrey, too, was still the same girl he remembered.

Yet hesitation and uncertainty were clearly visible upon her face regarding what she was about to take part in.

Everything was finally ready.

Every condition required for success had been fulfilled.

But before they began, Abraham unexpectedly asked to speak with Agaroth alone.

And so, the two held a conversation that was neither particularly brief nor especially long.

The subject was none other than Agaroth himself...

And the freedom he had spent so long pursuing.

"Agaroth, you don’t need to prove anything."

"Not to yourself, and not to the world around you."

"Just because your world is unreal from the perspective of another world doesn’t make it unreal to you."

"As long as you possess a consciousness that is truly your own... as long as you can suffer and fear, feel and love, rejoice and become excited..."

"As long as you can question your own existence, think for yourself, and make your own decisions..."

"That alone is proof that you are real."

Abraham wanted him to understand something simple.

Agaroth was already a genuine living being.

He did not need to accomplish anything to prove it.

Yet Agaroth could only laugh in response.

"That’s easy for an outside observer like you to say."

"You look down upon this world from somewhere so impossibly high that everything I’m going through must seem insignificant from where you stand."

With an unwavering gaze and a will that refused to bend, Agaroth faced Abraham directly.

"My entire existence revolves around the purpose I’m pursuing."

"So don’t you dare deny the meaning behind what I seek."

Agaroth’s voice burned with hostility, despite the man standing before him being vastly more powerful than he was.

Abraham’s response, however, remained calm.

Exactly as one would expect from him.

"Have it your way. I won’t argue with you again... But remember this, Agaroth. You are a creature who once made the entire Council move because of your existence."

"Because of a single prophecy."

With those final words, Abraham brought their conversation to an end, leaving Agaroth with an entirely different perspective to consider.

"As far as I’m concerned... you proved that you were real a long time ago."

And with that, their conversation ended.

Agaroth’s desire, his thirst for freedom, was overwhelming. Yet he could not deny that Abraham’s final words had stirred something within him.

He had, after all, asserted his existence strongly enough that the First Writer herself had personally come for him.

Yet the moment Agaroth remembered what had happened when Clea arrived...

Every trace of hesitation vanished.

He had never forgotten the humiliation he suffered that day.

Elsewhere, Audrey pleaded with Frey whenever she found the opportunity, trying desperately to dissuade him from his decision and convince him to abandon his plan to help Agaroth.

But it was useless.

She failed as well.

Frey and Agaroth shared one particular trait...

Both were impossibly stubborn.

And soon, the time for words came to an end.

Seth stepped forward first and activated his Rune, beginning the process of constructing a passage between the two worlds.

He worked astonishingly fast.

Before long, the path began to manifest before them as a tear in empty space, an opening that led into the unknown.

Frey and Abraham immediately supported him with their Aether, allowing Seth to push the power of his Rune to its absolute limits without losing control.

Audrey was the last to join them, supplying an endless stream of Aura through her extraordinary ability.

Little by little, the passage grew.

It expanded further and further until the gateway, which had begun as nothing more than a narrow tunnel, became wide enough for several people to pass through at once.

Beyond it stretched a long road of brilliant white light, piercing through the boundaries of two worlds and disappearing far into the distance.

Sweat poured down Seth’s face.

Frey and Abraham were struggling as well, pouring everything they had into keeping the passage stable.
