Chapter 771: Anew.
Chapter 771: Anew.
Her perspective of the world took a strange change. She could see normally, but there was a slight tremor in every object she saw. Her body was the same as always, but perhaps a bit stronger, faster, more flexible.
She had developed sharper canines than normal, fangs to be precise. But the most vivid change had been her nose. Her sense of smell had been enhanced by multiple levels.
However, she was thirsty, incredibly so. Her body felt weak, her throat parched. It was like a knife was being driven into her. She needed to feed.
Else she would die.
But she had no strength to move, her hunger was so great, yet she had no means to solve it.
'Ring...'
That's right, she always had rations in one of her spatial rings... But where was it? She could move her mana... but she could not find the ring. It should be on her finger.
Raising her head with great difficulty, she found no rings on her fingers. Her precious storage rings were gone... Where?
The room was dark, but even so, she could perfectly... but she couldn't find her rings, not in the mess of flesh and blood.
Augmenting her body with all the mana she could muster, she barely held her body up with her arms.
Her stomach hurt, her throat hurt. She was so hungry and thirsty, it was driving her insane. She crawled towards the door, her skin dirtied by the blood and flesh on the ground.
'Click.'
When she was mere inches away, the door opened. A blinding light revealed itself from the other side, soon veiled by a shadowy figure.
A woman, that was all Sabrina could make out in her current state. The woman moved behind her, placing a robe on her body as she held out a small flask.
"Please, My lady. Feast."
A small flask, containing a dark liquid. The scent of it was so ravishing, so amazing she couldn't control herself as she drank whatever was within, perceiving it to be water. In this state of hers, even water smelt amazing.
She licked it off her hands, off her lips, made sure to drink every drop, missing not one. And soon after she did, she felt a tremor echo inside of her body.
Another shadow appeared in the doorway, this time a muscular man, who promptly knelt down. Sabrina could see he was... broken in some way. He was moving purely by using mana. His muscles were fluid... and his bones were all fractured.
But she didn't focus on it, rather, she focused on the changes taking place in her body.
Her affinity to the element of darkness... it felt as if it jumped a few levels too quickly.

Her status had undergone a great change, unlike any other she had seen. She had gained a new affinity, upgrades to her former affinity to darkness... and a new race and title.
[Royal Vampire: The highest of the Vampiric species, heirs to the thirteen houses. The strongest members of Vampires that hold great authority.]
[Almada: A title given to the heir of house Almada, In recent 'times' it has gained a new meaning.
The one who traverses time by sacrifice, imparting knowledge to their past selves in order to achieve a great goal.]
Her mind was a mess. Not only was she dealing with a constant headache, she had to recount her previous experience as well.
But before that, she had to deal with the situation in front of herself. Two... vampires, One a man, injured beyond belief, and the other a woman, a few wounds marred her beautiful figure, were kneeling in front of her.
"...?"
"My lady, it is an honor to be in your presence. Your beauty and grace truly knows no bounds."
The woman basically bowed down to her, her forehead never left the dirty ground, and the man... Well, Sabrina felt sorry for him. He was forcing himself to do the same, even though his wounded body was clearly incapable of it.
She could see his desperate attempt at using nothing but mana to keep his body in that position.
"... I don't think you should be doing that?"
"Your mercy is limitless."
"..."
The man gratefully stood up, and went to the side to sit on a chair in the room, meanwhile, the woman remained in the same position.
"Who are you?"
Sabrina asked, clutching the robe around her body. She was frantically searching for her spatial rings all around the room.
"My name is Alpha, your servant. Beta is to the side, My apologies, but he is currently severely injured from a battle outside."
"What do you mean by servant?"
"We are the servants of the next heir of house Almada. We live only to serve you."
"..."
Well, she did have a lot of servants back home, but this was certainly new. The woman in front of her, Alpha, as she called herself, was a powerful mage, and the man to the side was a warrior, though in a sorry state right now.
Somehow, he was recuperating by himself. It was a method of regeneration, albeit extremely pathetic compared to what she had seen Alan do.
"I'm sorry, I need some time to think... Thank you for the water...and food?"
She stood up, however, it felt as if her head had been struck with a hammer. It was strange, she had been so hungry before, yet only drinking some water had satiated her?
'Ah, I'm a vampire.'
"..."
Before she fell down, Alpha reappeared behind her in a flash and grabbed her before she fell, supporting her figure.
"My lady, you need rest. Please recuperate, while I procure the means to escape."
"... Escape?"
She was led to a chair in the room, facing a mirror. Alpha sat her down gently and massaged her shoulders.
"... What do you mean?"
"The traitor will arrive here soon, We need to escape and recuperate. Building our forces will be the first priority.
Fear not, My lady, I will serve as your guide through all of this."
"... What the fuck are you talking about...? And what traitor do you mean?"
The only reason she wasn't flinging a spell right about now, even though both of these vampires didn't show any hostility, was simply because she was enjoying the massage. Somehow, she was certain these two wouldn't ever grow hostile to her.
"..."
Alpha stood quiet for a moment, stopping her massage much to Sabrina's displeasure, She picked up a brush, and began gently brushing Sabrina's hair.
'... I like this.'
"The dragon is going to lose soon enough, We hoped he would have kept Victor, the traitor, at bay for longer, but it seems his death is near. I can avoid the effects of the array, and even now I am constructing a portal to escape to a lessor world."
Sabrina paused, and turned her head to the side, looking right at Alpha.
"What did you just say?"
She stood up, slowly this time, casting numerous spells on herself to avoid weakness.
"What... did you just say?"
"My lady, I simply told you that we must escape before Victor arrives. I fear, in our current state, we are helpless against him."
"No, no, before that. Dragon?"
Alpha stepped back, as Sabrina pressed on.
"Explain. Now."
"There had been a frost dragon caught by the array, much like yourself. We fought him before. He is the one that injured Beta to that degree... He should be fighting Victor right about now, though I fear he is already dead."
[Alan, talk to me. Alan?!]
No response from the astral connection, Sabrina eyed Alpha.
"The dragon has kept Victor occupied for longer than we expected... No tremors have been heard for a while. We need to escape now."
Alpha attempted to grab Sabrina's shoulder, but found herself... bound.
Chains that appeared from the ground, in an instant, the magic was so fast she had never even sensed it coming.
And it was strong, unlike any other she had seen. Cast without a staff, without runes and more so without even letting out a trace of mana.
This wasn't something she could have avoided noticing, even if her current state was awful. Only a mage leagues above her could do that.
The next thing she noticed was Sabrina missing, and Beta's troubled look.
