Chapter 851: Requirements.

"Wake up, sleepy head."

Alan awoke from his slumber, roused by a familiar voice. He saw Sabrina standing to the side, and used his arms to help his body up. He noticed he was... sweating, surprisingly.

Him? That was a surprise, the environment wasn’t hot enough for it, and neither was the condition of his body abnormal. A frost dragon shouldn’t sweat, unless he was in the middle of a desert. What was more, he felt lethargic and strangely invigorated at the same times.

His muscles were relaxed, and his mind felt clear. It was then that Alan realized that he actually had a good night’s rest. It had been a long, long while since he had a peaceful sleep. Almost everytime he went to sleep, he was confronted with nightmares or visions of the previous iterations.

They were the worst of the worst, but this was a pleasant surprise. He simply felt like he had blinked and time had gone by, he didn’t remember anything else at all. He felt... great.

"How long was I asleep?"

He asked, curious. How long would it have been to make him feel this way? He knew his body and mind were tired beyond their limits. If it weren’t for the effects of his bloodline, and the gifted mind of a dragon, he knew he would have died several times already.

"Thirty three hours, forty seven minutes and eight seconds."

’Why so precise?’

He questioned inwardly, but he should have expected it. Sabrina was always like that, specific about everything. She couldn’t help it, really. Her photographic memory just made her like that. Alan stood up from his bed and stretched his body, it was exhilirating to feel so refreshed.

Sabrina hid small blush on her face as she complained.

"Wow, as soon as you wake up is crazy. I like it."

"Huh?"

Sadly, he didn’t understand what she meant. She sighed and pointed to the door with her chin.

"Someone finally came to meet you about the trial, they’re waiting in the lounge."

Alan perked up, and went towards the door, intending to meet with them immediately. It would be best if he could clear the trial as soon as possible. However, Sabrina grabbed his shoulders and advised.

"... You should go to the bathroom and clean up a little. Wash your face."

"Why? I don’t need."

"You should."

It wasn’t as if he was nasty or anything, he quite literally didn’t need to wash his face or brush his teeth, or anything of the sort really. Grime didn’t accumulate on the body of a Frost Dragon unless certain conditions were met. It was one of the things about him Sabrina even envied.

However, he did need to wash his face... quite dearly. Coincidentally, as he turned around, he caught a reflection of his face in her eyes. With his enhanced senses... it was quite clear to see why she was so adamant on it.

She had drawn all over his face with a marker. There was the random doodle on his chins, an overexaggerated outline of his lips, a lot of dots on his nose and a heart on the right side of his forehead.

"..."

"What? I couldn’t help myself, you were asleep for so long and I was bored."

She avoided eye contact, desperately playing with her fingers as Alan sighed and removed the markings with mana.

"Oh right, you can do that too."

-----

Three people had come to visit the mansion in which Alan and his party temporarily resided. They were all high ranking members of the Church that oversaw the trials that all that were granted permission to reside on this planet eventually undertook.

One, most definitely the leader was sitting on the couch, waiting for Alan to arrive. He wasn’t hidden behind a robe, like most people on this planet, however, the two standing behind him were.

One was of relatively short stature, it was hard to see him unless one leaned over the couch, or relied on other senses. The other was of the same build as the leader.

Alan walked down the stairs and observed them all silently, he knew he couldn’t gleam a lot of information about the two behind the leader even with dragon eyes. His skill was simply helpless here.

However, the leader was definitely quite a charming man. A man with pure black skin and elongated ears. A High-Dark Elf, possibly royalty of their kind. Normal dark elves usually had tanned skin, and their skin only darkened the more pure their blood was.

His eyes bore a stark contrast to his skin, however, they were as radiant as the sun. They were literally glowing. The man, and the two behind him hadn’t noticed him... mostly because they were preoccupied with Kazikato.

They appeared to be extremely concerned why someone of his stature was lying on the corner. Kazikato, even if he didn’t know, held a very high rank in the house of Shivalkulan... so their shock and concern was somewhat understandable. Unfortunately, they were simply unaware Kazikato liked to sleep on the floor...

Even Maxwell was sweating buckets as he noticed their looks of concern... Even he was finding it hard to explain. Alan couldn’t blame him, even though the three concealed their power very well... It was common knowledge that everyone in this realm besides Alan and his party were powerful.

They could hide their power as much as they could, but with prior knowledge of the average level of the residents of this planet, and the information as to why they were here and a rough idea of their identity... anyone would be filled with tension and unable to think properly.

Maxwell knew everyone on this planet was a powerhouse that could snap him like a twig with just their gaze, and he also probably knew they were High ranking members of the Church... An organization in charge of dozens of planets, so one couldn’t blame the man for sweating so much.

He let out a relieved sigh when he noticed Alan’s arrival, by that point, everyone had noticed his arrival. It was hard to miss someone of Alan’s size. Even if he was short compared to Dragons, he still towered over the average height of almost all species but Orcs and Giants, and some Lamia.

Sadly, this information wasn’t enough for him, He was still sad to know that among dragons, he was considered short. He was still a baby though, so there was still hope for him.
