Chapter 980: He who is the storm(2).
Alan stormed in the tent, his very presence dropping the temperature by a few degrees. Filled with sweat, he let out another curse before turning his head to look at Alexander, who simply shrugged.
“Why are you still here?”
He asked, confused. Alexander answered.
“They wouldn’t let me go if you weren’t around.”
Alan stopped for a while, sighing. He facepalmed, and ordered.
“Go and deal with that flesh fuck, I’m tired of this heat.”
Alexander smirked, before promptly leaving the tent. Alan bade him farewell before taking a nearby seat. He cast a frost spell to reduce the temperature of the area enough for it to be comfortable for everyone and asked.
“How is everything going?”
Ryan, albeit shocked at the sudden entrance, answered.
“The Beast Hordes are progressing as expected, we believe it will take a few more hours to cull their numbers. The Automatons have mostly been pushed back to the dungeons, with only a few stragglers remaining. The granddaughter of the sage is responsible for most of that.”
“Olivia… huh, guess she finally decided to become serious.”
Alan looked up to the ceiling, drowning in thought. Hopefully, they would be able to leave this place quickly. He was ready to open a portal to Las Vegas as soon as he could, he just needed everyone to finish packing.
Alexander would deal with the giant soon enough, perhaps half an hour or an hour at most. He would finish before Titan and the army dealt with the beast hordes, that was for sure.
“How did it go on your side?”
Amanda asked as she took a seat for herself, closer to the center of the tent. Alan shrugged his shoulders and replied.
“Dealt with, all of them.”
Everyone in the tent gave him incredulous looks.
“All? As in, every single one of the termites?”
Ryan asked for confirmation, with Howard anxiously nodding his head behind him. Alan sighed and repeated.
“Yes, all of them are dead. Now tell your troops to finish this mission as soon as possible, so we can all get out of this damn desert.”
Howard, still in disbelief, inquired.
“…But how? There are no signs of large spell use, or anything of the sort? How did you annihilate them all so quickly?”
“None of your business.”
Alan was unwilling to share any information about the Jade Palace, to make sure that nobody would be able to glean anything, he spent half an hour fixing all traces the city had on the surroundings. The only thing he left alone was the ice in the nest, which he thought would lead others to believe he just used a large-scale ice spell. He would prefer that over the secrets of his domain.
Still, landscaping was difficult, especially since Alan had no idea what the area looked like before, or any knowledge of the topic in general. He made a mental note to himself to memorize the landscape before deploying the Jade Palace.
However, unfortunately for him, the officials in the tent still needed a few details to report back. Thankfully for Alan, the loud sound of booming thunder distracted them all, as Alan inwardly thanked Alexander for the save.

Alexander didn’t feel much of anything as he stared at the cursed giant in the distance. It was only a bit bigger than the ruined building he was standing on, maybe he stood at a height of about two hundred and fifty meters, give or take.
It was… small, to say the very least. Although it towered over Alexander, it didn’t make him feel anything, a part of him wanted to say it was concerning, but another part of him just remembered something else that made his blood run cold.
A sense of fear enveloped him, as Alexander laughed to himself, shaking out of it. The Giant in front of him was but a baby to the monstrosity that was Kizmal. Even now, Alexander had a few nightmares about that behemoth, and he hoped slaying this one would alleviate some of them. He sincerely hoped it would give him a moment of peace.
The giant towered over him, but it wasn’t Kizmal. It was big, but not as big as Kizmal. He did not have blood as thick and hot as magma itself, he could not wield beams of such destructive power that would turn Alexander into dust or less. He was… weaker, far, far weaker.
[Calm yourself.]
As his dear former supreme being commanded, Alexander calmed himself, taking a few big breaths as he focused more on the Giant in the distance, it was a disgusting amalgamation of concrete, flesh, blood, glass, metal, and everything else in a city. Alexander began to channel his aura, and his body changed.
Silver fur began to grow out of his skin, and a tail sprouted. His face elongated slightly, turning into a small snout, but he retained most of his human features.
Just as Dragons could bless certain souls to turn them into Dragons themselves, like how it happened with Alan and Elijah. God beasts could mold warriors into becoming God Beasts themselves, and since the one doing so was Festul, Alexander could already be considered a half god beast. His soul was a bit lacking compared to Alan and Elijah’s, therefore, his transformation took a while.
Something which Festul supported, because according to him, it would temper his soul further, as he fought as a weak being and gained strength. The final evolution into a God Beast would serve him well if his path was marred by blood and steel.
Alexander unsheathed his two swords, but after a moment of consideration, put one of them away. It was the grey blade, one that carried with it the power of the wind. The clouds up high churned as the giant in the distance turned to Alexander, finally noticing him.
It raised it’s head high, and opened it’s disgusting maw. Alexander could see a few cars fall from the top of the mouth to the bottom, merging with the flesh and recoiled in disgust. He drew his blade of lightning, and called.
“COME!”
The cursed giant responded in kind, releasing a beam of chaotic energy towards him. It was slow, much slower than Kizmal’s, and weaker. Much, much weaker. Even if the element composing it was Chaos, it could not compare to the beams of Kizmal.
Lightning was the most destructive element, after all, influenced the The Supreme Dragon of Storms, Krygar, and the Supreme Fenrir of Tempest, Festul. At least, that was Festul’s title before he lost his supremacy. Lightning would destroy anything that dared oppose it, and it would do the same to the beam coming towards Alexander.
He wielded his black blade, and called out.
Festul!
A bolt of lightning descended from the skies, as thick as a bus and met the tip of his blade. Alexander channeled the power and sent in a focused beam of lightning energy. It quickly overpowered the beam sent by the Cursed Giant, and struck it right in the mouth. It stumbled, but did not fall.
Alexander smiled, and as soon as the beam disappeared, dashed towards the Cursed Giant, stepping on the air itself. Lightning and Wind supported his movement as Alexander’s eyes took on a beastly hue, shining like gold underneath the dark storm clouds.
He quickly approached the giant, and swiftly dodged the flinging arm before climbing onto it. He ran up the arm, towards the face of the Cursed Giant as he fought desperately to stop the vomit rising up his belly.
He couldn’t believe he was saying this, but running on Kizmal’s body where the lightning threatened to consume him at every second was preferable to this. Suddenly, Alexander found himself stepped in air, confused, he looked down.
“Oh.”
Ah, the thought of Kizmal had taken over Alexander’s mind, making him forget he was fighting a baby giant in comparison. He had climbed further up the shoulder, to the skies above as he looked at the Giant right in the face. It roared, assaulting his sense of smells as Alexander almost puked.
He changed his position, transforming into a bolt of lightning that quickly appeared behind the Giant. He raised his sword to the skies once more, and channeled both the lightning and the aura he had into his sword.
The weapon greedily drunk it all, consuming both the lightning that rained down on it from above and the aura Alexander fed it. Both of them merged together, and when the process was done, the lightning ceased, and Alexander swiftly sheathed his blade.
Still in the air, he took on a quick-draw form, where he silently let the energy condense further and further in the sheath, and as his body was consumed by electrical sparks, the Giant lunged at him, it’s body shifted and grew around him, intending to devour the little boy.
But instead, he unsheathed his blade and swung.
“Stormcut!”
The sound of lightning fell on every ear, as the world trembled beneath it’s terrifying power. A wave of lightning powerful enough to make Alan shiver in fright was released from the blade, and it quickly dawned on the giant, consuming it whole. It destroyed everything that the Giant was.
The clouds in the sky parted, and sunlight shone down as Alexander swiftly finished the cursed giant. Taking a deep breath, he heaved a sigh of relief as Festul congratulated him.
[Well done.]
The move was strong, and it had taken quite a bit out of him, regardless, it was well worth it. It would make Alan stop grumbling and quieten the officials who looked at him with suspicion. Filled with joy of his own progress, Alexander silently retreated to the tent.
