Chapter 26 - It Was Just Purely Sex
When Feng Jiu was still outside the door, listening to MinFeng talking with someone on the phone, she wanted to run away, to avoid everything, to pretend that she did not hear a single thing. But... why would she do that? She, the Witch CEO, was never a coward. She had been a fighter since she was young. Without a mother to take good care of her, without a father that would shelter and protect her, she grew up fighting for herself, fighting for those people she cared. She was a strong woman, so why would she run away?
'No. I will not run away.' Feng Jiu slowly entered the room while looking at MinFeng's back.
The man... The man that she decided to give her everything.. her mind.. her body.. her soul.. even her... heart.
Feng Jiu could feel that her heart was stabbed a million times, like someone was repeatedly squeezing it hard. She feels suffocated, like she was drowning in an endless despair.
As much as she wanted to cry, to beat him to death, to spit on his face... but... She couldn't... She had to be strong. She has to show him that she was not affected, that she was not in pain. So, she decided to close her eyes.. to close her heart.. and smile brightly as if nothing was wrong…
MinFeng tried to touch her but she moved away. She despised his touch, the touch that could melt her, the touch that she always craved for.
'I cannot let him touch me every again. Or else my resolve would crumble.' MinFeng tried to explain, to tell her that he was still the MinFeng she knew.
But, no, she would never fall for his tricks ever again.
"No.. You are not MinFeng... You are Lu MinFeng. The Eldest Young Master of Lu Corporation. 'The Lu MinFeng' not the MinFeng that was homeless and unemployed. Everything was just a charade for you. So, no, you are not MinFeng."
'You are not the man I love.'
Yes. Feng Jiu finally understood why her heart would feel painful every time she thought of their current status, her current standing in MinFeng's life.
It was because she loved him...
She loved everything about him..
His naughtiness, shamelessness, slyness... he pampered her like she was his Queen..
But… she wanted more. She wanted not to be his Queen, but to be the center of his universe. She wanted to be with him forever, but he betrayed her. He betrayed her by not revealing his identity. She gave him the chance but he wasted it.
'Why? Why did you lie? Why did you lie to me?'
"Feng Jiu... No, It's not like that. Listen to me."
Again, MinFeng tried to hold her in his arms, but she slapped his hands.
"No need to get physical Mr. Lu. We can just talk, like two civilized people."
She stared at MinFeng. There was no pain nor anger in her eyes. It was as clear as the sky.
"Honestly, I was shocked when I found out everything. But as I thought about it, it was clearly my fault for what happened at the bar. You don't have to worry. I won't take it to heart. Let's just... go in our separate ways."
Feng Jiu said those words while looking at MinFeng's eyes fearlessly.

When MinFeng found out that Feng Jiu was behind him, he wanted to apologize, to beg for forgiveness.. But, his body won't move, like he was rooted on the spot and was not able to take a step forward. He wanted to hug her and bury her inside him.
If only he could cut his heart out and show her what he really felt about her.
If only he could just crack his skull and let her see his brain to tell her what was on his mind.
If only he could travel back in time and admit everything when she gave him the chance.

But there was no medicine for regret.
No matter how much his intestine turned green[1], the deed had been done. There was no point in thinking a thousand 'IFs'. The only thing he could do now was make sure Feng Jiu would forgive him.
MinFeng's heart was bleeding while looking at Feng Jiu who had an indifferent expression on her face, as if she was not hurt... even just a little.
He would've preferred it if she cried or shouted at him. Even if she wanted to slap him hard or stab him to death, he was willing to take everything...
He was willing to receive everything with open arms, if that would make her anger and disappointment lessen a little but she just smiled brightly at him, as if she did not care.
When Feng Jiu said they should just go in their separate ways, he felt as if he was slapped silly. His brain was not able to comprehend what she said. He could only look at her foolishly.
'Why? Why won't you listen to me? Why can't you forgive me? Was my love not enough to move you?'
Indeed. He was in love. He foolishly loved this woman.. and he only realized it now when it was already too late. He did not know when it happened, maybe when he laid his eyes on her for the first time.. or maybe when he discovered her different sides, especially when she becomes stupid once in a while.. he didn't know when he started loving her. Because the moment he realized it, he already loved her deeply...and it was beyond salvation. Like falling in a quick sand, you never noticed until you were completely drowned and devoured by it.
"Mr. Lu? Why are you not answering?" Feng Jiu laughed as if she finds him amusing. Every laugh she made, MinFeng could feel his heart was being shredded into pieces.
"Don't tell me you don't want to?" Feng Jiu moved closer to him and whispered, "Don't tell me you like me? Heh... Don't forget, everything that happened between us was just purely sex. Nothing more, nothing less."
MinFeng froze. He cannot believe what he heard. He stared at her and asked, "You really think that it was all sex? That there's no emotions involved between us, huh, Feng Jiu? Tell me!!" He grabbed her shoulders and shook her hard.

I declined.. Hahaha I know it was very very very stupid in my part. But I already promised that I will just write this for free. Without asking for anything. So yeahh.. Hahaha. Thinking way back before I first started, I was bragging and joking with my brother that maybe QI ReadNovelFull will someday offer me a contract for my novel.
