Chapter 1047: Publicized History

Chapter 1047: Publicized History

"I'm sorry, where are my manners? I am Bill Franks, Governor of the Whalemoor Region," Governor Bill re-introduced himself after forgetting his self-introduction.

He had been too arrogant to think that Governor Hugo would know about him when they had never met. After all, their countries barely had any interaction in the past.

Meanwhile, Hugo quickly realized who Bill Franks was. He had never met the person, but he had heard of Whalemoor City; it was located in the southwesternmost part of the continent.

"So it was Governor Bill. Please excuse my ignorance," Hugo calmly smiled, shaking Governor Bill's hands and making peace. Then, he replied, "I don't know if we will find any Outer Beings in the Celestial Belt or not. But if you ask me whether I hope there would be any to discover or not, I would say no."

"Haha, that's not surprising. Who would want to have such dangerous beings so close to our home?" Governor Bill softly chuckled and commented, "I heard those Outer Beings are nearly immortal, making them very difficult to kill."

"Difficult to kill? You make it sound as if there's a precedent for killing Outer Beings, Governor Bill," another voice interjected as a beautiful Lunaran woman approached.

Governor Bill and Governor Hugo both glanced at the newcomer before the former replied, "Isn't that the case? Didn't Lord Vaan defeat one from the moon?"

"Defeated, yes. Killed? Definitely not. Lady Hecate took away that creature after it was reduced to a weakened state," the Lunaran woman clarified before adding, "But more importantly, that creature couldn't really be considered an Outer Being."

"As strong as Lord Vaan is, he cannot defeat a true Outer Being with his current level of power, let alone kill one. If it were possible, the Celestial Kingdom's glorious civilization would not have ended so helplessly and powerlessly."

"True Outer Beings possessed absolute power, the likes that you have never seen or can imagine. Their presence would bring absolute terror and despair, should they appear," the Lunaran woman said very surely, surprising the two governors.

"You seem to know about those Outer Beings very well?" Governor Hugo doubted.

"I don't dare to claim I know everything about them, but I am at least confident I know more about them than most dwellers of the surface," the Lunaran woman nodded and said, "You see, the Celestial Kingdom has records of the Celestial Federation's downfall when the Outer Beings arrived."

"You don't need to ask me about this either since I'm sure this piece of historical record will be made public soon. Perhaps even sooner than you think," the Lunaran woman reckoned.

Surprisingly, her guess was very accurate.

Shortly after SS Voyager departed for the Celestial Belt, the live streams of the starship on the big screens ended, switching to a documentary on the end of the Celestial Federation and the Outer Beings that ended it.

Immediately, all the guests in the Observation Deck—No, everyone in the world focused their attention on the media channels that broadcasted the Celestial Federation's history.

Before the fall of the Celestial Federation, it was a human civilization that spanned across multiple stars.

At the height of its glory, it had hundreds of Divine Transformation Realm experts, and few were even on the verge of exploring an entirely new realm of power in spirit energy cultivation.

During that period, the Celestial humans became very proud and arrogant. They believed they were the masters of the stars and could conquer the universe.

This led them to expand their stellar civilization aggressively without regard for other extraterrestrial life and races they encountered and offended a powerful draconic civilization.

As a result, the Celestial humans were humbled really quickly due to the might of the dragon race. However, even their corrected attitudes could not spare them from the dragons' wrath.

Fortunately, Golden Dragon Pangea saved them and fought for a peaceful resolution of co-existence—only to enrage the proud dragon race further.

Left with no other choice, Golden Dragon Pangea imprisoned herself in the Celestial Federation's territory, putting herself at the mercy of the Celestial humans to keep her kind from stubbornly slaughtering all the Celestial humans.

Her self-sacrifice saved humanity from complete extinction.

"This is unbelievable…" Governor Bill uttered with sheer disbelief after learning the truth about the ancient past.

According to the documentary, Golden Dragon Pangea created the Blessed Golden Dragon Tribe with the purpose of allowing the Celestial humans to bear her draconic bloodline, hoping it would be the answer to co-existence with her dragon race.

Moreover, her bloodline transfusion experiment led to the various ethnicities seen in present-day Pangean Humans.

In other words, all Pangean Humans who weren't of pure Lunaran ethnicity bore a trace of Golden Dragon Pangea's bloodline at some point in history. Even if it was so faint that it was no longer existent, their non-Lunaran appearances were proof of the change brought by Golden Dragon Blood. ȑΆŊö฿ЁS

When Vaan first learned about this piece of history, even he was surprised.

After all, even the system failed to detect the Golden Dragon Pangea's bloodline in him. Most likely, the power of the dragon bloodline was diluted to the point of extinction, but the genetic changes brought by it weren't reversed.

Only the direct descendants from the five ancient families still bore slight traces of the Golden Dragon Bloodline.

While everyone was surprised by this part of history, it wasn't the greatest shock of all.

When the Celestial Humans encountered the draconic races, they thought they were the mightiest race in the universe. Yet, their power was still nothing compared to the Outer Beings'

There was only one instance where the Outer Beings' powers were recorded, and it was also that one instance that left an unforgettable mark in human history.

When the Outer Beings attacked the Celestial Federation and the draconic civilization, all it took was one move to wipe out all the stars in its line of fire. The unnaturally large patch of darkness in the starry sky could still be observed in today's era.

When AI Pangea showed a simulated calculation of the attack's pathway, many educated scholars realized that if the Outer Being had aimed just a few degrees more to the right, Planet Pangea and the sun would have ceased to exist.

"W-What kind of power is this?! How can there be such an absolute force in this world?!"
