Chapter 500: Forgetting about something

“Is she not awake yet?” Yulian asked the doctor as he looked at Lily through the intensive care unit’s glass. After the ritual, she suddenly collapsed, and for some reason, all attempts to heal her failed. In the end, they had to get her here.

“Young master… Like I said a hundred times before, she seemed to have suffered some sort of soul damage! We still don’t fully know what happened, but it is not an unheard-of case after using the cleansing artifact!” the doctor said. “You must have more patience, she might wake up anytime now!”

“...” Yulian sighed. “It is just that my father is going to be killed by my mother if Lily doesn’t wake up, you know…”

“Just a random thought… “ Yulian sighed.

A sudden alarm sounded, making both of them look back toward the bed where Lily slowly sat up and pulled cables connecting her to the heart monitor while looking around.

“Sis!” Yulian exclaimed as he ran past the doctor, pushed the unit's glass doors open, and hurried to his sister's side. “Are you ok? Is there anything wrong with you!”

“Where is this… I…” she frowned as she recalled many things.

“Young mistress… This is the Von Krone Awakening Ward!” the doctor who hurried to stop the beeping device explained as he shot Yulian a glare. “You had just gone through a soul-cleansing ritual, and you must be feeling a little lost. Don’t worry, this feeling will go away in a few days!” he quickly explained.

“Oh… I am… Who….”

“Please look at this, it should trigger the implanted memories…” the doctor said, showing her a golden crow insignia.

“Ah… Memories…” Lily nodded as if lost, then opened her eyes wide as she eyed the insignia.

“Sis?” Yulian looked worried as his sister went into a trance.

“Be quiet!” the doctor scolded.

“Ahh….” Yulian could only swallow and nod.

“Right…. I am Lily Von Krone!” Lily finally said after a full five minutes as she opened her eyes. They were no longer clouded but firm and clear.

“Yes…” Yulian sighed in relief, hearing her.

“As a child, I was kidnapped by the Von Weise family and was raised as a slave there until I was saved… But I…” she frowned as she began to remember.

“Take it easy… Now the rest of your memories should slowly begin to trickle in… Although they may appear foreign to you due to the process, as time progresses, you must be able to subjectively understand them!” the doctor said.

“Oh…” she nodded as she held her head.

“Sis…”

“You are… Right… Yulian…” Lily lifted her head and opened her eyes wide, looking at him. “My brother!” she exclaimed.

“Yes! Are you ok?”

“I… I am sorry about what I did to you….” she said, biting her lip.

“Ah… It is ok, you were being manipulated…” he said nervously, not sure if his sister was acting or if her soul really cleansed.

“Um… I have been brainwashed by that hateful von Weise family and by that filth bag Victor von Weise, making me act as his slave! I will make him pay!” she spat as she flared up like some girl on a mission for revenge!

“Ah…”

“Young miss! You should lay down… strong emotions at this stage will affect your recovery, so save those for later!” The doctor suddenly interrupted before turning to Yulian. “Young Master, you should leave for now… Why don’t you go tell your parents the good news for now and come back later!”

“Ah, right…” Yulian nodded. He'd better go tell his mother the good news, lest his poor father end up dead!

“Young Miss… You too should get some sleep too…” The doctor turned to Lily. “Your brain would have sorted everything out by the morning!”

“Ah…” she frowned a bit. “I understand…”

For now, all she could do was to play along. To tell the truth, her memories had long been sorted out when she was in a coma earlier, the coma that happened in the first place because of the merging of two parts of her soul! One from this timeline, and the other from another one…

She really wanted to connect to Victor, though, to tell him about all the crazy things she just remembered, about the truth that was being hidden in this world! But knowing that she was being monitored by an artifact, she decided not to risk it. Not even daring to ask Yulian for the necklace she hid with him.

Once her situation stabilized in a few days, the family would debrief her, and after that, she should be free to do whatever she wanted!

Watching Anriana and her group leave, Victor turned to Emira, who was sitting beside him on the grass, watching the show he was creating. “Did it work?” he asked her.

“Yes, I put that parasite inside sister Aerith into a deep sleep,” she said with some anger. “Why didn’t you remove it using your Cauldron’s power?”

“I tried, but that thing seemed to be connecting to her soul… Pulling it that way would hurt Aerith. “The parasite will be completely asleep for about 6 months… That should be enough time, right?” she frowned.

“I told you… I need to get my spark and do some cleaning…”

“You might not know this, I already attacked Zendo with the appraisal Pillar when I was escaping Imseralia, so right now, if my guess was correct, he should have lost all of his system powers…” he said, telling the truth. The situation in Ismeralia was a little delicate!

“Oh…” she squinted her eyes. “Then the elves?”

“If the truth gets revealed, they might be in a tight spot…”

“Very tight…” she said.

“We still have time, though, as Zifr the great, who was manipulating Zendo, is on the run due to the auction events…” he said. Since Emira was there, she clearly figured that it was him. “The storm lord would not risk making a big move before setting all her cards right!”

“... True…”

“My involvement might have changed the balance a bit and might have even saved that world!” he explained.

“Oh… It might have also plunged him into chaos earlier, “ she frowned. He might be right. “What do you advise me to do?” she asked after some pondering.

“Then… Go to Vein city…” he sighed. Arguing with this little girl was futile.

That trip was a quick one as Emira seemed to be using some kind of travel artifact that allowed her to go at ultrasonic speed. Sadly, he couldn’t look at it or appraise it as the little girl was technically riding on his back.

It gave him a very strange feeling, nearly awakening the sleeping masochist inside of him… OF COURSE IT DIDN’T!

Anyways, they reached Vein city in an hour and a half, and after that, it took them 10 minutes to reach the hidden base where she made him use his disguise to walk past the guards before she threw him in front of the gate, then stood in front of it and began to inspect it.

“So this is the gate… You must have had your men prepare its structure beforehand… You always had a connection to this world, didn’t you?” she looked at him and asked.

“...No idea what you are talking about…” he quickly replied. Damn it.. This girl was not an idiot.

“...” she chuckled. “Whatever… Open it for me!” she ordered.

“You have to free me first!” he replied seriously.

“You will be free once I reach the other side safely!” she said.

“You are not taking any chances, are you?”

“Nope… “

“Don’t you trust me?”

“I do, but having a backup plan is a must!” she replied as she squatted beside him and began to pat his hair. “You should be the one trusting me!”

“...” he almost rolled his eyes.

“Don’t worry, if I were to kill you, the gate will close, so your life is not in danger!” she said.

“.... Fine…” he said, sighing as he activated the gate. The dim mirror, like an ethereal gate, rippled, then began to turn like a vortex as it shone with blue light.

“...” Emira nodded as she looked at it.

“How are you planning to return here?” he asked as he watched her stand up and walk toward it. “Once you leave, I plan to close the gate!”

“...” she paused. “What do you propose?” she asked, turning to look at him.

“In a few months, I plan to make a trip there to check on things, leave a sign for me next to the gate if you want to meet me!” he said.

“Noted…” she nodded as she proceeded toward the gate standing right in front of it.

“Be careful out there!” he said

“... I will… see you later!” she said, then immediately jumped into the gate. “I will allow you to try and court me the next time we meet… ” Her last words reverberated behind her.

“...” Victor watched her leave with complex eyes. For now, this should be ok.

Enough with that…

He needed to test something before the girl reached the other side.

Forcing on his demonic bloodline, he began to let it flow strongly into his sleeping organs, and as expected, they immediately began to free up.

In mere 1 minute, he stood up and began to flex his muscles, leaving only his left hand limb to the side, still affected by Emira’s power.

He could have done this earlier, but he was not sure if it would work. Thankfully, it did. His demonic bloodline was really something else.

As he thought about many things, he suddenly felt his left hand come back to life, so he realized that Emira must reach the other side successfully and disable her power. He quickly locked the gate to make sure no intruders would pass through, then turned and left.

His first target was to call Lily… Still no response, but his connection seemed to be getting through to her, but she was not responding, so she must be under some kind of monitoring.

Thinking about it for a moment, he decided to go check on poor Alpha!

Wait…

He stopped. Was he forgetting about something?

“AH! Shit…” he quickly remembered that he should have given his father a heads-up before releasing Rosette! “Well.. What is the worst that could happen?” he wondered….

“Master… Your muscles are so huge… Are you really those guys’ father and not their younger brother?” one woman in a very revealing bikini chuckled and asked as she stuck her body to Theorode, who only wore black tight shorts. Her delicate hand was going all over his chest.

They were sitting on a couch overlooking a huge indoor pool where many girls like her were having fun with young men. This was the VIP hall inside the grandest brothel in town.

“I never got the chance to accompany Victor… Ever since his ceremony, things were very hectic, and by the time everything settled down, he ended up getting married to about a dozen girls at the same time… that guy doesn’t need to go to a brothel!” Theodore said as he frowned again. He heard many things about Victor from Iris. “Forget about that stupid stuff for now!” Theodore said. “How is your preparation for tomorrow?”

“Where?” Roy asked.“A tournament…” Theodore didn’t elaborate. “Usually, only 10 candidates from every family were allowed to enter, but this year, a full 100 candidates were allowed, so there will be a chance for someone like you! “...WHAT?” Theodore let go of the girl who began to make moves on him as he stood straight up. She fell to the ground.

“WHAT… WHAT ABOUT ROSETTE?” Theodore asked in shock.“Master… She seemed to have hurried off to meet with you!”

“Ah…. I will be right there!” Theodore said, then hurried to the door, nearly stumbling with the girl he had just thrown to the ground.

“FATHER! Where are you going…”

“Something happened in the family… You guys enjoy your time… I need to go back!” Theodore said flusteredly.

“Can’t you at least get dressed!” Roy, not knowing what was in his father’s mind, quickly said.

“Ah… Right! Quickly get me my clothes!” He ordered the girls who ran to the side room, then returned with a black silky suit that she began to help him put on.

Noticing how hurried he was, some other girls ran to his side and began to help, wanting to gain his favor.

It was just that at that exact moment.BANG!The hall’s door was kicked open.

Looking at Theodore, who was surrounded by hut girls and had one leg in the pants and one leg out, was none other than a lady dressed in some fantasy high-collared robes.
