Chapter 1106: A Perfect Victory

Chapter 1106: A Perfect Victory

(Planet Satoru, Early Morning, Central Military Command)

It was just another routine morning inside the Central Command, when suddenly, a red alert started to blare loudly across the base.

"A red alert?"

"What happened? Are we under attack?"

The staff wondered aloud, their voices rising in confusion as Commander Yu Go stepped forward without hesitation, his presence immediately bringing a sense of order to the room as he moved toward the central console.

"Sir, we have picked up images of a massive fleet approaching us," the Lieutenant reported quickly, his tone tense as he pulled up the incoming visuals for Yu Go to see.

"They have refused to identify themselves, and appear to be heavily armed. Sir, I fear this could be the start of a planetary invasion," he added, as Yu Go raised an eyebrow slightly at the news while studying the projection.

"Who is it... Is it the Dragons?" he asked, his voice steady despite the sudden escalation, as in recent times, only the Dragons had been bold enough to strike directly at Great Clan-held planets.

The Lieutenant hesitated for a brief moment before responding, as though unsure whether to repeat what he had just seen on the screen.

"No, sir... the fleet is not of Dragon origin," he said, swallowing nervously before continuing. "The ships are bearing a different insignia... one we have not seen in a while."

Yu Go’s gaze sharpened instantly at that, a faint unease settling in his chest as he waited for the confirmation.

"The emblem belongs to the Evil Cult, sir," the Lieutenant said finally, his voice dropping slightly as though even speaking the name carried weight. "It appears... they have returned to their old ways."

For a moment, the room fell silent.

"What?" Yu Go said, his eyes widening slightly in disbelief as he stepped closer to the display, his mind racing as he processed the implications of that statement.

"The Evil Cult Bastards... after everything that happened... with Soron being dead and their home world destroyed.... they still dare to act so openly?" he muttered, his tone tightening as irritation began to mix with the initial shock.

"Inform headquarters immediately," he ordered, his voice turning firm as he snapped back into command. "Send out a priority distress signal and request reinforcements at once. This is not a routine incursion."

The Lieutenant nodded sharply and moved to comply, his fingers flying across the console as the signal was transmitted toward the Yu Clan’s higher command without delay.

Across the planet, warning systems activated in unison, as emergency protocols triggered across cities and military zones alike, directing civilians to take shelter while defensive forces mobilized for incoming conflict.

"Raise the planetary shield," Yu Go commanded, his gaze still fixed on the approaching fleet as it continued to close the distance without slowing. "I want full defensive coverage before they enter engagement range."

Within moments, the massive energy grid surrounding Planet Satoru flickered to life, expanding outward as a shimmering barrier that encased the planet in a protective dome.

"Deploy all surface-to-air batteries and prepare interception squads," Yu Go continued, his voice calm yet carrying clear urgency as every officer within the command center moved to execute their assigned roles.

Missile systems locked into position across key installations, their targeting systems activating as they aligned toward the incoming threat, while aerial defense units prepared for immediate engagement upon breach.

Yu Go remained still at the center of it all, his eyes fixed on the distant fleet that now loomed larger with each passing second.

"Evil Cult bastards.... I thought you were gone for good....."

He muttered, as although he had no idea as to why the Evil Cult was expanding again?

Or what was the reason behind this newfound confidence of theirs?

What he did know was that planet Satoru was more than equipped to stall until reinforcements arrived.

"You Evil Cult Bastards really have the worst timing.....

We just upgraded our planetary defence shield a month ago.

It’s now strong enough to repel even the best Righteous Faction Shield breakers for days.....

So good luck trying to get through it!"

He muttered in confidence, as he truly believed the Evil Cult would not get through the outermost defence, let alone win Planet Satoru today.

"Reinforcements will arrive within 24 hours.

And once they do, we will sandwich you and send you straight to the hellhole you pathetic weasels crawled out from!

You think your Cult is still relevant today?

Well, let me tell you something....

Without Soron you’re nothing!

And I’ll remind you of just that."

—-------------

A few minutes later, as the Cult fleet entered the vicinity of Planet Satoru, the scale of the incoming force became impossible to ignore, as thousands of ships spread outward in formation, gradually encircling the planet from all directions.

Inside the Central Command, Yu Go observed the movement calmly, his confidence unshaken as he folded his arms and looked toward the tactical display.

"Do not worry," he said firmly, his voice carrying across the room as officers glanced toward him for reassurance. "They will not be able to breach our planetary shield."

At that very moment, four colossal beams of condensed energy surged forward from the depths of space, converging upon a single point of the planetary barrier with terrifying precision.

The impact landed.

For a brief moment, nothing happened.

Yu Go smiled faintly, his confidence reaffirmed as he let out a quiet breath.

"I told you," he said calmly. "Even if they keep this up for days, they will not be able to—"

*Crack*

The sound cut through his sentence like a blade.

His eyes twitched.

"Huh?"

High above the planet’s surface, faint fractures began to appear across the shield, thin lines spreading outward from the point of impact like veins forming under pressure.

Seconds passed.

More cracks appeared.

Then more.

The shield, once flawless, now looked like a glass surface under strain, its structure failing in ways that should not have been possible.

"No... wait..." Yu Go muttered, his expression tightening as he leaned forward.

The fractures expanded rapidly, spiderwebbing across the entire barrier as the energy holding it together destabilized at an alarming rate.

*Shatter*

The planetary shield collapsed entirely, bursting apart in a violent cascade of light as fragments of energy dissipated into nothingness, leaving the planet exposed.

The entire surface trembled.

"What? No way... that’s... that’s impossible!" Yu Go shouted, his composure breaking for the first time as disbelief overtook him.

He had trusted that shield.

Everyone had.

And yet, it had failed within minutes.

However, before the shock could even settle, the next phase began.

The agile flanker ships surged forward instantly, piercing through the broken barrier with overwhelming speed as they descended toward key military installations across the planet.

*Boom*

*Boom*

*Boom*

Explosions erupted across multiple zones simultaneously, their impact shaking the command center itself as shockwaves rippled through the structure.

Yu Go staggered slightly, catching himself on the console as his eyes widened in disbelief.

"They’re already here?" he muttered, his voice strained as he struggled to process the pace of the assault.

The speed made no sense.

Before their own aerial units could even fully power up, the Cult ships had already breached the atmosphere and begun their assault.

"What is wrong with them... what is this insane speed?" he said under his breath, his confidence cracking further with each passing second.

Still, he forced himself to act.

"Counterattack!" he roared, his voice cutting through the chaos. "Save the planet! We hold for twenty-four hours until reinforcements arrive!"

Defensive systems activated across the surface immediately, as missile batteries launched in rapid succession while turret arrays and inferno towers roared to life.

The sky lit up with counterfire.

For a moment, it looked like resistance.

And then—

It collapsed.

The Cult destroyers advanced without slowing, their sequential defensive barriers absorbing the attacks as their own weapons responded with overwhelming force, dismantling defensive installations one after another.

Missile batteries were erased.

Turrets were obliterated.

Inferno towers fell silent within moments.

What had once been a fortified defense network now felt like a scattered collection of targets waiting to be destroyed.

Yu Go watched it unfold with a growing sense of disbelief.

"This... this isn’t a battle..." he muttered.

"This is a massacre..."

Within minutes of the invasion beginning, the difference in strength became undeniable, as the Cult forces tore through everything in their path with brutal efficiency.

Half an hour later, the first wave of ships made landfall.

And almost all of them landed without resistance.

Yu Go, now bruised and shaken from the continuous bombardment, drew his weapon and rallied the remaining soldiers around him.

"We fight!" he shouted, his voice hoarse but resolute. "We hold this ground no matter what!"

They charged.

And for a brief moment, it felt like a stand.

Then the Cult forces met them.

They came in waves, their movements aggressive and relentless, their presence carrying an overwhelming hunger for battle that felt almost feral.

Yu Go swung his blade with everything he had, cutting down the first Transcendent rank who approached him, then the second.

But they did not stop, as more kept coming from every direction, like wolves closing in on prey.

As it was not even Veyr who personally walked out to face the enemy Monarch, but rather the Cult Lieutenants themselves, who took the challenge to subdue a strong opponent.

*CLANG*

*CLANG*

Yu Go fought back desperately, his movements growing slower with each passing second as wounds accumulated across his body.

A strike from the left.

Another from the right.

A blade from behind.

He staggered.

Fell to one knee.

And still they did not stop.

In the end, it was not a single opponent that brought him down, but a dozen, then two, then more, their blades striking in rapid succession until his body could no longer keep up.

Yu Go collapsed under the sheer weight of the assault, his vision fading as the world around him blurred into chaos.

His final thought was not of victory.

It was disbelief.

Disbelief, that this had ended so quickly.

As across the entire planet, the story was the same.

Cult warriors surged forward like unleashed beasts, cutting through resistance without hesitation as they advanced from one objective to the next with ruthless precision.

There were no elaborate strategies.

No hidden tricks.

No internal sabotage.

The Cult did not need them in this war, as they won through sheer superiority alone.

Within an hour and a half, the entire military establishment of Planet Satoru had been neutralized, its defenses dismantled and its forces crushed beyond recovery, as it seemed like the invasion had been executed perfectly from start to finish.

As for the Yu Clan, there was nothing they could do to stop it....

As in the end, they were killed just as pathetically as Veyr hoped for what could be called a perfect victory.
