Chapter 1110: Immediate Elimination
Chapter 1110: Immediate Elimination
(The Yu Clan Palace, Planet Yu Prime, Yu Kiro’s POV)
Yu Kiro listened to the report presented by Yu Rulo with a surprised expression on his face, as even he found it difficult to fully grasp the implications of what had transpired.
On one hand, the logic was undeniable, as the annihilation of an entire reinforcement fleet by a single individual strongly suggested the presence of a Demi God within the Cult’s ranks.
And yet, the rational part of his mind resisted that conclusion, as he knew far too well how rare and difficult it was for any faction to produce even a single Demi God.
"Explain your reasoning clearly... spare no details, this may be more important than you believe...." Yu Kiro said, his voice steady as he rubbed his forehead in annoyance.
"Great Ancestor, if the reports are accurate, then this Sparrow individual destroyed over ten thousand ships alone," Yu Rulo replied, his tone controlled as he chose his words carefully.
"No Monarch, no matter how exceptional, could achieve such a feat in such a short span of time, which is why I believe the possibility of him being a Demi God cannot be ignored," he continued, as his fists tightened slightly at his sides.
Yu Kiro did not respond immediately, as he allowed the statement to settle within his mind while his thoughts moved toward a much deeper layer of analysis.
"That assumption is reasonable," Yu Kiro admitted after a brief pause, his tone calm as he rested his hand against the armrest of his seat, his expression turning more contemplative.
"However, the existence of a new Demi God within the Cult raises questions that extend far beyond a single battlefield outcome," he added, his voice lowering slightly as the weight of the discussion deepened.
Yu Rulo frowned faintly at that, as he understood that the Yu Clan God was not dismissing the idea, but rather expanding upon its implications in a way he had not fully considered.
"Great Ancestor?" he asked, prompting Yu Kiro to continue.
"If the Cult has indeed produced another Demi God, then the matter is not simply about their increased military strength or their renewed aggression toward Great Clan territories," Yu Kiro said, his gaze sharpening as he looked directly at Rulo.
"It raises a far more fundamental question about how they obtained the necessary ingredients required for such a breakthrough," he continued, as his fingers tapped lightly against the armrest in a measured rhythm.
Yu Rulo’s expression shifted slightly at that, as he followed the direction of Yu Kiro’s reasoning with growing unease.
"You are aware of the requirements.... No?" Yu Kiro went on, his tone steady as he laid out the facts with clarity.
"The soil from The Pit, the Moonshine Flower from the Eternal Garden, and the Waters of Granada are not resources that can be acquired casually, nor are they things that any single faction can gather without paying an exceptional price," he explained, as his eyes narrowed faintly.
"The Cult may have secured the soil during the conflict surrounding Soron’s death, but that alone should be insufficient," he added, his voice tightening slightly as the gap in logic became more apparent.
"They would still require access to the Eternal Garden and Granada, which places two very specific individuals at the center of this problem," he said, his gaze now carrying a colder edge.
Yu Rulo exhaled slowly, as the names formed in his mind without needing to be spoken aloud.
"Kaelith... and Mauriss..." he said quietly, as the implications of that possibility sent a chill through him.
"If both of them are cooperating with the Cult, then the Great Clans are not just facing a resurgence," Yu Rulo continued, his tone growing more serious as the weight of the situation became clearer.
"We are being manipulated on a level far beyond what we initially assumed," he finished, his brows furrowing as he looked back toward Yu Kiro.
Yu Kiro remained silent for a moment, as his mind processed the scenario from every possible angle, weighing each possibility with the caution of someone who understood the stakes involved.
"That is one possibility," he said eventually, his voice measured as he leaned back slightly, his posture composed despite the gravity of the discussion.
"However, considering how Kaelith hates the Cult, and how he recently destroyed their home world Ixtal, I find it unlikely that he would readily co-operate with the Cult.
Which means, either some other faction supplied the flower..... or the Cult has stumbled upon something even more concerning," he added, his gaze darkening just a fraction.
"If the Cult has discovered an alternative method to achieve a Demi God breakthrough, one that does not rely on the traditional ingredients, then the balance of power across the entire universe can shift beyond recognition," Yu Kiro said, his tone laced with danger.
"In such a scenario, the issue would no longer be the existence of one additional Demi God, but the potential for many more to emerge in the years to come," he continued, as his words carried a quiet sense of inevitability.
Yu Rulo’s fists clenched at that, as the image of an army filled with multiple Demi Gods crossed his mind, a thought that felt far more dangerous than anything he had initially considered.
"That... would be catastrophic, especially if a couple of them do manage to ascend to God-Hood." he said, his voice lower now as the realization settled in fully.
Yu Kiro nodded once, as he acknowledged the severity of that outcome without needing to elaborate further.
"Which is why speculation is not enough," Yu Kiro said firmly, his gaze locking onto Rulo once more as his tone shifted back into authority.
"I want confirmation," he continued, his voice carrying a decisive weight that left no room for interpretation.
"No matter the cost, no matter the method, you will verify whether the Cult has truly gained a Demi God within its ranks," he ordered, as the atmosphere in the chamber grew heavier with each passing second.
Yu Rulo straightened immediately at that, his earlier uncertainty replaced by a clear sense of purpose as he bowed his head slightly in acknowledgment.
"Yes, Great Ancestor," he said, his tone resolute as he accepted the responsibility without hesitation.
"And if your suspicion indeed proves itself to be true..." Yu Kiro added, his voice dropping just enough to emphasize the significance of what he was about to say.
"Then we act immediately, before this situation evolves into something we can no longer control.
Because then, the Cult will need to be eliminated at once." he finished, his eyes narrowing as a faint tension settled across his expression.
Yu Rulo nodded once more, as he understood that the outcome of this investigation would determine the course of action not just for the Yu Clan, but for all the Great Clans moving forward.
Because if the Cult truly stood on the verge of producing multiple Demi Gods, then the threat they posed was no longer limited to territorial expansion.
It was the beginning of something far more dangerous.
The rise of a force that could challenge the very structure of power that had defined the universe for generations.
