Chapter 1153: Face To Face

Chapter 1153: Face To Face

(The Next Day, A Few Hundred Kilometers Outside Planet Satoru, Leo’s POV)

*FSHHH*

A fourth dimensional portal suddenly ripped open a few hundred kilometers above Planet Satoru’s atmosphere, as violent spatial fluctuations spread outward through the void of space.

Then from within the distortion, Kaelith and Ru Vassa stepped out together, both Gods fully armored and radiating enough pressure to distort their surroundings, as almost instantly, Leo noticed their arrival.

"They’re here."

He muttered calmly toward the gathered Demi Gods sitting around him inside the command chamber, as within the very next instant, his body disappeared.

*FWOOSH*

A second fourth dimensional tunnel opened briefly above Planet Satoru, as Leo stepped out from it directly before Kaelith and Ru Vassa without wasting even a single second.

*Startle*

His sudden appearance immediately startled Ru Vassa, because unlike Kaelith, who remained mostly expressionless, she genuinely did not expect Leo to react to their arrival so quickly before either of them had even properly released their divine aura.

*Squint*

Her eyes narrowed sharply afterward, as she said—

"I haven’t even fully released my aura yet, and you still sensed me?"

She began, as she spoke with visible surprise flickering across her face.

"Seems the rumors were true after all...

The Cult really did obtain the ingredients necessary to brew Demi God potions."

Ru Vassa said, as she slowly looked Leo up and down.

"So General Sparrow was not the only one, you’ve also entered the Demi God realm yourself, Leo Skyshard."

She said with disgust, however, despite her words, Leo never even turned toward her once.

His eyes remained locked entirely onto Kaelith.

Calm.

Cold.

Unmoving.

As though Ru Vassa herself did not even exist.

For several moments, neither of the two men looked away from each other.

Then eventually, Ru Vassa snapped irritably.

"Hey....."

"YOU.... BOY, I’m talking to you."

She said, while snapping her fingers, and yet, Leo still ignored her completely.

Refusing to turn his head even slightly, he continued to stare down Kaelith, as by this point, Ru Vassa reached the limit of her patience.

"It is rude to ignore a God, you know."

Ru Vassa muttered coldly, as she began to gather divine essence.

"That sort of behavior is what tends to get mortals like you killed."

She warned, as the moment she finished speaking, her palms joined together.

*VWOOOM*

Violent divine essence surged outward instantly.

"[Violent Cataclysm]."

She muttered, as a massive spell exploded outward from point blank range directly toward Leo, as the surrounding void of space distorted violently beneath the sheer destructive force released.

*BOOOOOOM*

A massive explosion erupted around Leo’s position immediately afterward, while shockwaves spread through the upper atmosphere of planet Satoru.

*FISSS*

Smoke and divine essence flooded the surrounding void completely.

And yet, the very moment the smoke dissipated, Leo still stood there entirely unharmed, with not even his clothes damaged, as he continued to stare into Kaelith’s eyes without acknowledging Ru Vassa, as though her attack itself had not even been worth noticing.

"What?"

Ru Vassa muttered in disbelief, as by this point, Leonardo and Dumpy had also arrived from Planet Satoru’s surface, both appearing a short distance behind Leo while weapons materialized into their hands.

Ru Vassa’s expression visibly shifted afterward.

"Two more Demi Gods...?"

She muttered in genuine disbelief.

"How?"

She questioned, as even Kaelith himself raised an eyebrow slightly at that revelation, because although he expected Leo and Sparrow beforehand, Dumpy and Leonardo were unexpected variables entirely.

Then suddenly, Dumpy growled loudly at Ru Vassa.

"Bitch, shut your damn mouth already."

His massive golden eyes glared toward Ru Vassa with complete disdain while corrosive fumes leaked faintly from his body into the surrounding void.

"Don’t you see Lord Father staring down that traitorous bastard?"

Dumpy pointed directly toward Kaelith afterward.

"Nobody here gives a damn about you."

"You’re just an extra standing beside the main target, so know your role and keep your damn mouth shut."

A dangerous grin spread across Dumpy’s massive face afterward.

"Otherwise Lord Dumpy will gladly shut it for you himself."

He threatened, as Ru Vassa’s left eye visibly twitched hearing that insult.

Once.

Twice.

Thrice.

As for several moments, she genuinely struggled to process what she had just heard.

Because it had been thousands of years since anyone beneath the God realm dared speak to her this way.

As ever since she had become a God, she had long grown accustomed to absolute reverence and fear from every living creature beneath her status.

And yet somehow, this gigantic frog was casually calling her irrelevant.

Meanwhile beside Dumpy, Leonardo quietly gulped.

*Gulp*

Because unlike the two lunatics surrounding him, he was genuinely terrified standing before two actual Gods while feeling their divine aura pressing down across the battlefield.

And yet despite his fear, he still remained focused.

Because inside his mind, he continuously repeated Leo’s battle plan while trying not to panic.

’Don’t focus on what they’re saying, just focus on your role and all will be fine...’

Leonardo told himself, as he focused on controlling his breathing, until it was Kaelith who finally broke the silence again.

"I will offer you a favor, Leo Skyshard."

Kaelith began, as his calm voice travelled across the void of space.

"If you tell me how the Cult obtained the Moonshine Flower necessary for brewing Demi God potions..."

His gaze shifted briefly toward Planet Satoru below.

"Then I will allow you to choose a battlefield far away from this planet so our clash does not immediately affect your civilians."

Ru Vassa glanced toward him briefly afterward, though she remained silent.

"Of course," Kaelith continued calmly.

"This mercy would only be temporary."

A faint pressure spread outward from his body afterward.

"Because once I kill you, I will exterminate every last Cult citizen afterward regardless."

His eyes narrowed slightly.

"But at the very least, you would succeed in extending their meaningless lives for a few moments longer."

He offered, as finally, Leo smirked.

"Alright."

He replied calmly, while shaking his head.

"I’ll play your little game, if you’re actually man enough for it....."

He began, as he finally cast his gaze towards Ru Vassa.

"But don’t blame me afterward when the answer makes you look like a traitor in your ally’s eyes."

He warned, as the moment he said those words, Ru Vassa instantly turned toward Kaelith with visible caution flickering across her face.
