Titan King: Ascension of the Giant

Chapter 1401: Gathering of Demigods

Chapter 1401: Gathering of Demigods

"Hahaha... The Great One has answered us!"

"It’s real! This is true divine power!"

"A miracle... an absolute miracle!"

"Is this the birth of a new Holy Order?"

"My strength... it had stagnated for so long, but now it’s surging. I can feel it—I’m breaking through!"

Disbelief had initially run rampant among the second wave of recruits to Hellscream. Many doubted that mere mortals from a backwater like Grimm could truly possess a channel to communicate with a god.

But now, feeling the visceral feedback of power coursing through their veins, they had no choice but to believe.

Naturally, the blessings were not distributed equally. Those who offered the most devout loyalty and the richest sacrifices reaped the greatest rewards.

This was most evident in the four Divine Envoys: Kharos, Raveth, Ashkar, and Eryx. Their strength shattered previous limitations, vaulting them directly into the realm of Legends.

Of course, this wasn’t their own intrinsic power. They were borrowing Orion’s divine power, amplified to simulate the might of a Legend. It was the same mechanic Orion utilized with the Jester and the Witch from the Cult of Four—sharing a fraction of his divinity with the members of Hellscream.

"This damned world... it must change!"

Kharos, known as The Phantom of the East, threw his head back and roared, his silhouette bathed in a crimson glow.

"The time to rewrite the order of things has come."

Raveth, The Shadow of the West, spoke with a calm, terrifying confidence. A middle-aged man with golden hair and eyes, he exuded the sophisticated charm of a seasoned predator.

"Vengeance. Vengeance. Vengeance!"

Ashkar, The Scourge of the South, kept his head low, but his gritted teeth could not contain the clarity of his hatred.

"O God, embrace your most faithful servant!"

Eryx, The Iron of the North, knelt on the hard ground, trembling in utter piety.

Aina watched the scene unfold. She knew that after tonight, Hellscream’s influence would expand significantly.

Now, her task was to lead these empowered zealots to intercept the vanguard of the Holy Order.

"I will slaughter them all," she whispered.

"The heads of the vanguard will be nothing more than an appetizer for the roar of our domain."

Titanion Realm, Stoneheart City.

Deep within the castle, Orion slowly opened his eyes. His gaze pierced through the stone, fixing on the southern territories held by the Dragonflight.

"So, a Demigod of the Dragon race has finally descended?" he murmured. "It seems they aren’t willing to give up their slice of the Titanion Realm just yet. Perhaps they also harbor ambitions for the otherworld that is about to merge with ours."

Orion stood. With a single step, he vanished from his throne.

Marina City.

In her lavish bedroom, the Mermaid Demigod Seraphina turned over in her sleep. She ignored the sheer silk robe that slipped from her shoulders, pooling at her waist, and reluctantly fluttered her eyes open.

"Why do I feel so drowsy lately?"

She sat up, sensing the sudden displacement of space where Orion had just vanished. She threw a cloak over her shoulders and dissolved into the air, following his wake.

The Void Passage, Between Worlds.

When Orion materialized, the gathering was already underway. Evander, the Human Demigod, and Kairon, the Siren Demigod, were present. Joining them was an unfamiliar Demigod from the Dragon race.

Orion was about to speak when the air beside him shimmered. Seraphina appeared, immediately looping her arm through his.

He turned to face her. Confronted with her breathtaking beauty, he simply smiled, saying nothing.

"Gentlemen, we need an alliance," Kairon said, his tone grave. "A true alliance. A unified front."

The Siren Demigod seemed different from their previous encounters. He didn’t spare Seraphina a single glance, acting as if the stunning mermaid didn’t exist—or as if he actively disliked her.

Orion shot a sidelong glance at Seraphina. She immediately understood his thought process.

You think everyone is like you? Leaving traces of affection everywhere, your brain and world filled only with women?

Her voice echoed in his mind, a telepathic complaint laced with coquettishness.

Seraphina might act indifferent and lazy, but she missed nothing. She was well aware that Orion had brought Ava into the Stoneheart Horde. She rolled her eyes at him and, while still clinging affectionately to his arm, gave him a sharp, warning pinch.

"I am Tyras. I represent the Dragonflight," the newcomer spoke. He offered a slight nod, hoping to familiarize himself with the power players of this realm. "May I ask how I should address you all?"

"I am Evander, representing Humanity."

"I am Kairon."

After their introductions, both Evander and Kairon turned their gaze toward the couple.

"I am Orion," the giant said calmly. "And this is my wife, Seraphina. We represent the Stoneheart Horde and the Mermaid Race."

Seraphina remained silent, pressing her body tighter against Orion. His introduction—specifically the phrase "my wife"—pleased her immensely. She felt so content she saw no need to speak to these inconsequential strangers.

"So, you are the King of Giants? An honor," Tyras said.

Orion was a legend in his own right—the most outstanding figure of the current era in the Titanion Realm. Tyras was genuinely intrigued. In his eyes, anyone who could rise to power right under the noses of established Demigods possessed true capability.

"Let’s skip the pleasantries," Kairon interrupted, eager to return to the matter at hand. "The situation is grim. The expansion of the Insectoid Race in the oceans has exceeded my worst projections. The threat to our future will undoubtedly come from the sea."

This meeting was critical for Kairon; he needed allies. While the vast majority of the ocean was his territory, he couldn’t monitor every remote trench and subterranean river. Those dark corners were perfect breeding grounds for the sea insects.

Kairon had destroyed countless nests, but it was a losing battle. For every hive he crushed, another sprouted in the ruins of the last.

Worse, some of the sea insects were evolving. They were gaining sentience, learning to evade the Sea Race’s patrols. Some large swarms were even turning the tables, ambushing and slaughtering the hunting parties sent to exterminate them.

Kairon had realized he couldn’t wipe them out alone. He was forced to focus on defending a core region, creating a safe sanctuary while the rest of the ocean burned.

"It’s not just the sea," Evander added grimly. "The land is no better. We can’t kill them fast enough. Their rate of evolution is terrifying. Before the otherworld even descends, I fear we’ll be facing a war of attrition from within."

The other continent was Evander’s territory, and he faced the same nightmare. The Insectoids were a plague that refused to die.

"Orion, what is your take?" Tyras asked, looking to the giant after hearing the others’ complaints.

Orion and Seraphina were a united front. Orion’s attitude would tip the scales for the entire Titanion Realm.

"Gentlemen, let’s not mince words," Orion said, his voice steady. "I assume you, like the Stoneheart Horde, have already secured your footholds in other worlds."
