Titan King: Ascension of the Giant

Chapter 1519: Every future is a treasure

Chapter 1519: Every future is a treasure

Orion narrowed his eyes, his tone dead serious.

"If we don’t break down this intel and draw some hard conclusions, things will go south fast. My parasite root, though undetected, triggered a mild rejection. Those natural disasters? Just symptoms." He paused, his voice growing heavier. "Bro, we’re overlooking the biggest piece of the puzzle. This Temple of Terminus is a masterwork. It can mask our presence completely. Don’t you want to know who built it?"

"Whoever had the power to forge this place," Orion continued, "I guarantee they had other ways to deal with the Zeythan Dreadfin Race. So why build this sealing temple at all?"

"Bro," Leonidas began, having stared at the floor in deep thought for a long while before looking up with utter seriousness. "I know of a world that also has a conduit to the Void. Do you think I could copy your method exactly?"

It was a blunt, honest question. And it stumped Orion.

He couldn’t give Leonidas a straight answer; there were too many unknowns he hadn’t unraveled himself. Besides, the parasitic grafting was a grueling, long-term process. Predicting what might go wrong and figuring out how to fix it required hands-on experience he was still gathering.

"Bro, my advice? Wait a year or two," Orion said. "See how things pan out on my end first. It’s the safer play."

It was the truth. If Orion were in Leonidas’s boots, he’d make the exact same choice.

"Alright, I’ll follow your lead," Leonidas agreed easily. "Forget a year or two—I can wait eight or ten if I have to."

Orion nodded, steering the conversation to their next moves. "My vessel here won’t be leaving the temple anytime soon. Aside from reinforcing the seal and keeping the Zeythan Dreadfin Race pinned down, I need to siphon the origin power the World Tree root gathers to push this avatar to the Demigod realm."

He laid it out plainly; there was no point in hiding his cards.

"The World of Eldoria is going to need you to watch its back."

Bringing Leonidas into the fold hadn’t just been about splitting the spoils. Conquering a realm was one thing; holding it was another. With the goddess Agaman and the sea-born Demigods—Coraline, Corren, and Vaelor—having abandoned the World of Eldoria, the realm’s cosmic coordinates were bound to leak.

It was only a matter of time before some blind, greedy faction got their hands on those coordinates and staged an invasion. When that happened, Orion would be facing the exact same siege the previous holy order had.

Fortunately, Orion had planned ahead. The allies sharing this feast—Leonidas, Kraken, Isabella, Makareth, and Tangere—were all formidable Survivors who would only grow stronger with time. If all hell broke loose and Orion was tied up, at least one of them would be free to intervene. But for now, Orion and Leonidas were the realm’s primary shield.

"Don’t sweat it, brother," Leonidas said, his eyes hardening. "I’ll keep a watch on the borders. No opportunists are slipping in on my watch."

As the primary benefactors of this conquest, the pie they were eating was massive, requiring time to digest. For a warlord desperate to expand his territory like Leonidas, this realm was already meat on his plate. He wouldn’t let anyone snatch it away. Leonidas was viciously territorial.

"Also," Orion added, "Eldoria’s boundary arrays have definitely been tampered with. We can’t trust another man’s locks."

Leonidas grunted in absolute agreement.

"Deputy Commander Edward also commands a World Dragon," Orion reasoned. "If we offer our data on Void parasitism as payment, we can hire him to completely overhaul the boundary arrays. That should satisfy the old man."

Since the World of Eldoria was already conquered, there was no territory left to offer. But considering the Deputy Commander’s hidden pride, a simple request wouldn’t move him; they needed bait.

"Besides, the origins of this sealing temple are a mystery. The Deputy Commander and the arcane factions behind him will definitely want a look."

Leonidas grinned, catching the drift without needing it spelled out. "Relax. Leave the logistics to me. I’ll get it sorted."

The Titanion Realm — City of Stoneheart

Following the unification of the continent, the Stoneheart Horde had forged three massive legions, each a million strong. The names of their three Commanders—Kaelen, Dirtclaw, and Gustalon—echoed across the lands. Kaelen, in particular, despite being a Vice Commander, saw his fame skyrocket to unprecedented heights due to his status as a Giant Prince.

Furthermore, the Horde had issued a massive public bounty to exterminate the insectoid menace, drawing in countless volunteers and mercenary bands. Under the Stoneheart Horde’s aggressive mobilization, the insectoids’ breathing room on the Titan continent was shrinking rapidly.

While the fiery crusade against the bugs raged outside, the atmosphere inside Orion’s citadel was as still as stagnant water.

That stillness, however, was violently shattered by a sudden anomaly radiating from Vixen Sylvana.

Orion snapped his head up, staring at the vaulted ceiling. Through the subtle ripples of dimensional law, he sensed something alien descending into the keep. More accurately, it was descending directly onto Sylvana, who sat beside him.

He glanced at her. Her eyes were clamped shut, her long eyelashes trembling erratically.

"Easy. I’m here. No enemy will touch you," Orion murmured.

He reached out, gently resting his fingers over her closed eyes, his touch grounding her. Under his dual physical and mental reassurance, Sylvana finally stilled.

Seeing her calm down, Orion slowly closed his own eyes. He plunged his consciousness directly into Sylvana’s mindscape, navigating by the spiritual brand and phantom projection he had left within her.

"Well, well... I felt an awakening and came to guard my kin, only to find a half-blood Vixen!"

A voice—seductive, mature, and deeply intoxicating—echoed through Sylvana’s mental sea. Simultaneously, a breathtaking silhouette manifested in the void of her mind.

She had brows like distant mountains, skin like fresh snow, and teeth like polished pearls. A mysterious black runic pattern marked the center of her forehead. Her dark, flowing gown billowed without wind, hiding the bare feet that tread upon the mental expanse.

"Every future is a treasure."

The strange woman stared into the deepest depths of the mindscape. There, another beautiful figure was taking shape. Beside this figure floated an orb of light, wrapped thick in faith energy.

The figure was Sylvana. And the orb of light was the future—the very future Vixen Sylvana had glimpsed upon ascending to the rank of Lord.
