Titan King: Ascension of the Giant

Chapter 1530: A Way to Survive

Chapter 1530: A Way to Survive

However, as the liquid that had absorbed fragments of his phantom will entered his body and fused with his flesh, Orion made a startling discovery. The maximum capacity of his avatar’s physical form had instantly expanded.

Fusing my phantom will into the avatar increases its physical limits?

This realization was an absolute godsend—a beacon of hope. Truthfully, until this moment, Orion had felt like a drowning man sinking into a pitch-black ocean. But now, plummeting into the abyss, he had suddenly spotted the glowing lights of a submerged city. If he could just hold on and swim toward those lights, he would survive.

Without a second thought, Orion attempted to actively dissolve his Demigod phantom into the mystical fluid to forcefully expand his body’s capacity.

He failed completely.

His phantom will and the mystical liquid couldn’t simply be willed together. The fusion only occurred at the exact moment the colossal hammer struck, violently forging a sliver of his will into the golden fluid. In other words, if Orion wanted to completely integrate his phantom will and survive this crucible, he had to actively welcome the hammer’s blows.

Bring it on! Hit me harder! His phantom will tilted its head back, glaring defiantly at the descending hammer. This time, the fear in Orion’s eyes was gone, replaced by a burning, desperate hunger.

...

The World of Eldoria. The Agaman Diocese.

This was Orion’s territory, and the very heart of the World of Eldoria. The core mechanisms of the planar boundary array were anchored directly within this diocese.

On this particular day, violent fluctuations of void energy suddenly rippled across the grand plaza of the central temple. The stationed guards had evidently been briefed in advance; they didn’t react or break formation.

As the spatial turbulence settled, the Storm Avatar of the Deputy Commander materialized on the sunlit stones, curiously taking in his surroundings. A moment later, Leonidas appeared beside him, flashing the old man a sycophantic, fawning grin.

"Old man, right this way. Let’s get you settled in and wash off the dust of the road," Leonidas offered, gesturing toward the temple’s inner sanctum.

"Hm," the Deputy Commander grunted. He didn’t stand on ceremony, allowing Leonidas to lead the way while his sharp eyes meticulously scanned the new world.

"The elemental energies here are rich and diverse, yet there is a rigid, stagnant aura of holy magic permeating the very Laws of this world," the Deputy Commander observed, his senses impossibly sharp. He plucked the invisible truths right out of the ambient air. "Though the holy aura is pervasive, it’s entirely disconnected from its source. Is this Hulk’s doing?"

"Old man, our little brother is strong, but he’s not that capable," Leonidas replied. "Besides, he isn’t some mindless Demon who casually exterminates entire populations of mortals. This was the work of the Goddess Agaman. Before she fled, she ruthlessly harvested her entire flock."

Recalling the horrifying methods the Goddess had employed that day still sent a residual shiver down Leonidas’s spine.

"Deputy Commander, I’m not exaggerating here. A supreme entity wielding a Demigod Artifact is truly, terrifyingly powerful," Leonidas said, his voice dropping to a grave whisper. "A casual wave of her hand meant mass extinction and the absolute draining of all faith."

Leonidas spoke with absolute solemnity, and the Deputy Commander received his words with equal gravity. The sheer weight of the topic plunged them both into a heavy silence.

"Stop here for a moment," the Deputy Commander commanded a short while later, as they stepped into the grand hall of the former Holy Order’s central temple.

"Old man, the hidden chamber we found isn’t in this room," Leonidas pointed out. "Or are you tired? Do you need to rest?"

The Deputy Commander shot the chatty dragon a silencing glare. Standing dead center in the hall, he looked up at the recently repaired vaulted ceiling.

"There is a prerequisite boundary array right here. If we don’t repair and comprehend this formation first, going any deeper is useless," the old man said flatly. "Tell me exactly what happened here again, in full detail. I need to verify a few things."

Leonidas was far from stupid. Seeing the Deputy Commander instantly shift into work mode thrilled him to no end.

"By the way, Elara is currently in her territory, isn’t she?" the Deputy Commander asked. "Send her a message. Tell her I require her assistance."

Elara was now a bona fide Arch Lord-tier mage. While she wasn’t capable of constructing a planar boundary array on her own, serving as an assistant to the Deputy Commander was well within her wheelhouse. Furthermore, overhauling an entire world’s boundary array was a monumental undertaking. By summoning Elara, the Deputy Commander clearly intended to tutor his disciple and give her some exclusive, hands-on experience. Naturally, it was also a perfect opportunity to test her progress.

"You got it. Just wait right here, I’ll go fetch the little lady for you," Leonidas grinned.

On the eastern edge of the continent lay the Gulaba Diocese.

The World of Eldoria was divided into seven distinct dioceses in total. The Stellaris and Twilight Vale Dioceses had been distributed by Orion among the subordinates he had brought along for the ride, with Makareth, Isabella, and Tangere reaping the most substantial rewards. Leonidas had aggressively claimed the Sena and Silvermoon Dioceses, transforming the vast region into an absolute paradise for dragon beasts.

The remaining three—Andor, Gulaba, and Agaman—technically belonged to Orion. However, he had gifted the Andor Diocese to Aina, formally integrated the Agaman Diocese into the Stoneheart Horde’s central territory, and granted the Gulaba Diocese to Elara, fulfilling the Horde’s eldest daughter’s ambition of becoming a queen.

Within the Gulaba Diocese, two massive military legions were currently entrenched.

The first was the First Legion, directly subordinate to the Stoneheart Horde. Boasting a staggering roster of one million soldiers, its acting commander was Elara herself.

The second was the Tirisfal Legion, a personal army Elara had established within her own borders. Orion had promised her the right to form the Tirisfal Legion a long time ago. Currently, its numbers were quite small, consisting solely of Elara’s personal guard and her most fiercely loyal followers. Tirisfal was the name of Elara’s fallen homeworld; the creation of this legion was a living monument to her past.

The grand palace at the heart of the diocese had once been a cathedral, but since Elara took over, she had aggressively retrofitted it into a heavily fortified citadel. The citadel bore a striking architectural resemblance to the Stoneheart Horde Hall. It was obvious Elara had meticulously modeled her new stronghold after it, precisely because that brutalist design was inherently built to withstand a siege.

Standing on the highest balcony of the keep, Elara gazed out over her sprawling diocese.

Standing directly behind her was the Gnoll, Anubis.

The Anubis of today was vastly different from his past self; he held the honor of being the very first of Elara’s subordinates to ascend to the rank of Lord. Inheriting the sheer, unbridled savagery of his father, Dirtclaw, Anubis had fought like a bloodthirsty demon on the battlefield. His relentless slaughter had earned him immense military merits, which he had subsequently traded for premium cultivation resources.

Furthermore, when Elara secured her fiefdom and plundered the diocese’s vaults, she acquired a massive surplus of wealth. As her chief enforcer and strongest brawler, Anubis was handsomely rewarded. Armed with exceptional innate talent and an overflowing mountain of resources, Anubis had immediately gone into seclusion and successfully shattered the bottleneck to the Lord realm.(Legendary level)

Today marked his very first day as a true Lord.
