Chapter 640: Chapter 633: Bao Guo’s Startup

Sisi, Old Man, and the bride Alice went ahead first. Shou Jian Country couldn’t return until the day before the wedding. Just arriving at Ai Hua, he wished he could transform into seventy-two versions of Sun Wukong to get everything done.

The young couple didn’t take this wedding too seriously, but they couldn’t handle Shou Jizu and Tian Manlan’s thrice-daily harassment calls, so they agreed to organize the banquet. The main reason was Old Man’s words; Shou Jian Country always listened to Old Man.

Second, Shou Weiguo and Third, Shou Baoguo, were still studying in U country. Weiguo, as always, was pursuing his law doctorate, while Baoguo had graduated with a degree in the currently popular computer science.

Jianguo mentioned that the young fellow pooled money with classmates for some company setup, initially not even caring about getting his diploma. However, after Jianguo gave him a good scolding, he reluctantly obtained his graduation certificate. Now, with two classmates, he’s tinkering with that lousy company, neglecting proper duties.

Jianguo was visibly frustrated talking about Baoguo, feeling that his once obedient and cute little brother had gone astray after going to U country. But Alice disagreed; she believed Baoguo was doing something truly great.

"Allen (Baoguo’s English name) is a great person. He and his classmates are bound to create a miracle in the future."

Sisi didn’t really understand what Baoguo was up to. Jianguo, displeased by his brother’s lack of ambition, didn’t pay much attention, but Alice shared some details with Sisi, roughly related to the IT sector, though she couldn’t elaborate.

Moreover, Sisi learned from Alice that Baoguo was going through a difficult startup phase, simply lacking money, renting a tiny basement, buying a broken second-hand car, living like a wandering beggar.

This was Alice’s exact wording, but Sisi sensed a bit of admiration in Alice’s tone for Baoguo’s lifestyle, puzzled by these odd thought processes.

Feeling deep sympathy for Baoguo, Sisi one day asked Jianguo for Baoguo’s contact information, called the little brother who once sweetly called her Sisi sis, and earnestly advised him to take care of his health and not to keep consuming U country’s junk food.

Later, Sisi transferred 15 yuan to Baoguo. This 150,000 yuan was a gift from Uncle Mu when they first met, kept in the bank, never exchanged, directly wired to Baoguo.

She then called Baoguo: "I sent some money your way, don’t compromise too much on yourself, eat well and sleep well, starting a business is important, but so is your health. If money falls short, let me know."

Sisi pondered afterward, feeling this was perhaps spoiling him too much, so she called again to add: "But don’t waste it on foolish things such as drugs or picking up girls!"

Finishing her words, Sisi hung up satisfied, convinced that Baoguo’s good nature wouldn’t lead him to such mistakes!

Far away in U country, Baoguo squeezed into a small basement with two delinquent friends (as Jianguo described them), worried about funds, left bewildered by Sisi’s two calls.

"Allen, who was calling?"

An impressive brown-haired young man in his twenties looked up, asking Baoguo. Next to him sat a darker-skinned mixed-race boy, evidently biracial, both looked depressed.

"My sister, she called to say she sent me some money, told me to buy some good food instead of U country’s junk food." Baoguo explained with a smile.

"Your sister is so nice! Yesterday I called home to complain to my sister about not having eaten fruit for half a month. My sister suggested I graze in the park, maybe even squeeze out some milk." said the brown-haired Noi, enviably.

The mixed-race boy Bieber also looked envious: "At least your sister encourages food, mine just told me to drop dead!"

Both boys looked sad, resentfully at Baoguo!

Sisters from Z country are better!

Baoguo incredulously looked at his two friends, "Are they really siblings?"

"Genetically, absolutely yes. And Bieber’s sister even competed with him for nutrients in the womb for eight months." Noi answered seriously.

Baoguo shrugged, "Poor child!"

Bieber and Noi, nonchalant, clasped Baoguo’s shoulder, asking how much his sister sent, whether it would let them enjoy good food for a month.

"I don’t know, should be enough, I hope? My sister is really nice."

Baoguo proudly said, feeling fortunate to have a kind-hearted sister, unlike his two pitiful friends!

The three young men were excited thinking about not having to gnaw awful bread in the future, forgetting the current challenges, even if the sky fell, surviving with full stomachs was a priority.

They even discussed which restaurant to visit first after Baoguo’s sister’s money arrived.

Baoguo suggested a nearby Chinese restaurant, though the food wasn’t authentically traditional, still better than U country’s fare!

Noi proposed buying ingredients at the market to cook at home, that way, they could enjoy more meals.

Bieber flamboyantly suggested going to a restaurant near the school, where a new, authentic and generous girl worked; tip her a bit and she might join them for fun that night!

At that point, Bieber’s eyes gleamed with **** light, revealing an **** desperate pig brother demeanor.

Baoguo and Noi simultaneously showed him the middle finger, barely managing meals yet thinking about girls?

The trio expected Sisi’s contribution to be at most a thousand or two US Dollars, an admirable sum, considering they were grown-up and entrepreneurs now, with no family obligation for livelihood!

A week later, upon receiving Sisi’s mailed check, Baoguo gave it a glance, rubbed his eyes, then another look, feeling something off, thus shouted: "Noi, come help me count."

Responding to the call, Noi and Bieber ran up, witnessing Baoguo basking in sunlight, holding a thin check, expression stunned, emanating Angelic light (Bieber later added this).

"One zero, two zeros, three zeros, four zeros, one zero... four zeros..."

Noi and Bieber counted repeatedly, flipping it over until convinced they hadn’t miscounted, first dazed, then ecstatic.

The three hugged each other tightly, cheering loudly, echoing through the sky.

After a round of discussion, Baoguo decided not to go to the Chinese restaurant; Bieber didn’t chase girls. They used the entire amount as startup capital. Baoguo became a major shareholder.

Yet Baoguo secretly transferred most of his shares to Sisi later on, unbeknownst to her, not until Baoguo and the trio’s company became an international broadcasting giant did Sisi discover she possessed a massive asset unwittingly.
