On the opposite side, Fang Yuan reached the entrance of a company, precisely following the directions provided by her mother. The building’s exterior boasted glass walls and stood impressively at 18 to 19 stories high, spanning five to six shops in width. Dominating the entrance was a large engraved rock bearing the name: Cheng Ming Clothing Co. Ltd.

Fang Yuan:”…” Weren’t we under the impression that this was a small-scale company?

As she stepped into the lobby on the first floor, a sight met her eyes— the lady stationed at the front desk was caught in a nap. Fang Yuan gave a soft utterance, “Excuse me.”

The slumbering young lady jolted awake, her gaze landing on the newcomer, a mere high school student. She rubbed her eyes and inquired, “Um, hello there? Are you sure you’re in the right place? This is Cheng Ming Clothing Co. Ltd…”

Fang Yuan: “I’m Fang Yuan. I’m here for work.”

Upon hearing this, the young lady’s drowsiness evaporated in an instant, prompting her to spring to her feet. “President Fang, right this way!”

With instructions having been issued by Cheng Ye the previous day about the transition of company control, the staff were anticipating the arrival of a designated successor. However, the identity of Cheng Ye’s daughter was kept under wraps, and the narrative circulated was that Fang Yuan had been dispatched by the headquarters.

Escorting Fang Yuan into the elevator, the young lady pressed the button for the 20th floor. “President Fang, let me escort you to your office.”

“No need, I’d like to explore the place on my own.” Fang Yuan cast a fleeting glance at the floor layout displayed within the elevator and casually tapped the button for the second floor—where the design department was located.

The design department was a rather tranquil scene with minimal personnel, most of whom were idling away. Games were being played, a few caught up on some much-needed sleep, and others were engrossed in their breakfast. The atmosphere was notably lackadaisical.

As the front desk lady ushered Fang Yuan into the area, she even took the effort to knock on a door for a heads-up. However, the occupants, all from the design department, upon seeing a young girl accompanying her, merely assumed she was a family member and didn’t accord the situation much gravity.

“Qianqian, you’ve brought your family to work today?” a plump woman remarked with a grin, “Are you here for a little family time?”

The front desk’s attendant, Qianqian, cast a swift glance at her, signaling her to maintain silence.

“What’s up with your eyes?”

Without a moment’s delay, it was Fang Yuan who approached. Observing the woman engrossed in card games on her computer, she casually noted, “You’re on the verge of losing.”

The woman with a fuller figure was caught off guard. This young lady had such insight?

With an air of indifference, Fang Yuan commented, “Play the Spade 8 first.”

Prompted by her words, the woman instinctively clicked on the Spade 8 with her mouse.

Fang Yuan proceeded with her guidance, “Now, Heart 5.”

“Add the Club 3.”

“Finish with the Diamond 10.”

Guided by Fang Yuan’s instructions, the woman found herself swiftly turning her fortunes around.

“Wow, you’re seriously something! Kid, how old are you?” The woman playfully patted Fang Yuan’s shoulder, enthusiasm in her voice. “How about you indulge Sister in two more rounds? Win, and 1’11 treat you to some candy!”

Quickly intervening, the front desk attendant interjected, “This is the executive sent by headquarters, President Fang!” She cleared her throat before continuing, “Let’s focus on our tasks. Extracurricular activities should be avoided.”

The woman at the computer was taken aback. This seemingly high school student was the appointed leader dispatched by headquarters? Did she even graduate from high school? Is she an adult? Could it be that some influential bigwig at headquarters pulled strings for her entry? Is she here to make their lives miserable?

Other colleagues also found themselves baffled by Fang Yuan’s age. How could she, at her youthful years, possess the acumen to manage a company?

“Given your style of play, it’ll take you three to five months to secure a victory,” Fang Yuan mused, her hand patting the woman’s shoulder. “Put your efforts into your work, earn more, or you might not lose enough.”

As Fang Yuan prepared to depart from the design department, an unusual sight caught her eye—a girl tucked away in a corner, engrossed in her own world. The girl, with her back turned to the room, sported headphones and was meticulously crafting something on paper. Drawn closer by curiosity, Fang Yuan observed the scene—a brush deftly outlining the contours of a small formal dress, with a substantial pile of drafts amassed nearby. Evidently, dedication was not foreign to her routine.

“Our most ambitious designer, Gu Panpan,” the front desk attendant introduced, extending a hand to tap Gu Panpan’s shoulder.

Gu Panpan jumped slightly, removing her headphones, and cast a puzzled gaze toward the two unexpected visitors before her. She inquired politely, “May 1 help you with something?”

Having found the office environment to be too noisy, she had donned her earbuds and immersed herself in drawing. She remained oblivious to recent events.

“This is our newly appointed head, President Fang,” Du Qianqian whispered, nudging her. “Stand up and greet her.”

Meeting Fang Yuan’s gaze, Gu Panpan rose, her demeanor respectful yet tinged with shyness. “Good morning, President Fang.”

Fang Yuan’s attention settled on the draft at hand. “You’re the artist behind all this?”

“Yes,” Gu Panpan affirmed, quickly presenting the draft to Fang Yuan for inspection.

“Gu Panpan completed her college degree at the age of 18. She’s a top-performing student! Fashion design is her passion. Despite joining us just last month, she’s already produced an array of designs,” Du Qianqian elucidated.

Fang Yuan returned the draft with a nod. “Impressive work. Keep up the dedication.”

“Thank you, President Fang…” Gu Panpan watched Fang Yuan depart, her mind racing.. Who could have anticipated that someone her age would ascend to the company’s leadership? Clearly, she possessed remarkable competence!
