Chapter 474 Azure Sun Holy Sect Vs Bai Clan!
Chapter 474 Azure Sun Holy Sect Vs Bai Clan!
"Sect Leader Wen Haoyu, I have informed the Ancestors!"
A telepathic message was received by Wen Haoyu, the Sect Leader of the Azure Sun Holy Sect.
"Good!"
The only ones he truly feared from the Bai Clan were the two Grand Elders who were in the Immortal Realm.
If they participated, then it would be dangerous for them even if they had a huge numerical advantage.
So, to curb them, he had to use their Ancestors who were in the same Immortal Realm.
Of course, considering Bai Ren's strength, Wen Haoyu knew better than to think that they could win against them.
But there was no need to defeat them. As long as those two Grand Elders could be held back, they would be able to defeat the others.
With Bai Zihan in their hands, he reckoned that those two Grand Elders could be threatened with Bai Zihan's life.
The dome of formation light sealed the sky.
With all the preparations complete, Wen Haoyu truly felt that Bai Zihan and his forces would fall here today.
"Haha... Bai Zihan, stop this useless resistance and surrender. There is no escape for you or anyone who dares enter my territory. Just accept your fate!"
Bai Zihan didn't even spare him a glance.
"I wouldn't worry about others if I were you," Bai Zihan replied.
He didn't care about the formation that had just been activated, whose sole purpose seemed to be preventing them from running away.
(Run away? Why?)
Bai Zihan thought when he saw the Formation.
He never had the intention to do so, so all the preparations Wen Haoyu made to prevent it were absolutely of no use.
"Big words! Kill them!"
The Sect Leader roared.
The Azure Sun disciples surged forward like a tide of blazing robes and burning blades.
They outnumbered the Bai Clan almost five to one.
Perhaps even more.
"Just surrender!"
"Today, the Bai Clan is going to suffer, and I will reap a huge reward!"
"Delusional! It is I who will kill those bastards!"
Flame techniques filled the courtyard.
Hundreds of palm seals descended at once, turning the sky into a falling rain of fire.
For a brief moment-
It looked overwhelming.
Then-
The Bai Clan moved.
They did not yell.
They did not panic.
They did not even rush.
They stepped forward calmly.
A Bai Clan elder raised a single finger.
The air in front of him split like a silk curtain.
The incoming flame spears shattered into sparks before even reaching his sleeve.
Another elder swung his sleeve outward.
A ripple of white spiritual qi expanded in a perfect circle.
The first wave of Azure Sun disciples flew backward as if struck by an invisible
mountain.
Bones cracked.
Blood sprayed.
They had not even touched him.
the same
tion level-
The difference was horrifying.
An Azure Sun core disciple lunged toward a Bai Clan youth, sword blazing with
condensed Sun Dao fire.
"Die!"
The blade descended.
The Bai youth sidestepped.
One palm struck lightly against the disciple's chest.
The Azure Sun disciple's body caved inward as if struck by a battering ram.
He flew across the courtyard and embedded into a wall, unmoving.
The Bai youth did not even glance at him again.
He had used less than thirty percent of his strength.
Elsewhere-
Three Azure Sun elders combined their attacks, forming a tri-layered solar
array mid-battle.
Golden chains of light descended.
A Bai Clan elder stood within the formation.
He looked at the chains wrapping around his limbs.
Then-
He flexed. The golden chains shattered like brittle glass.
Before the three elders could react-
He vanished.
Three crisp sounds rang out in succession.
Crack! Crack! Crack!
The three elders dropped lifelessly, their foreheads pierced cleanly.
The Bai elder reappeared where he had been standing before.
His sleeves were unwrinkled.
His breathing unchanged.
"Weak," he muttered.
The battlefield tilted quickly.
Azure Sun disciples began to realize something was wrong.
They had numbers.
They had formations.
They had the advantage of home territory.
But none of it mattered.
They could not hold the line.
Even when ten attacked one-
It only delayed defeat by seconds.
Even when elders joined forces-
They were dismantled methodically. The Bai Clan did not rush.
They did not expend excessive qi.
Every movement was calculated.
Every strike was efficient.
They conserved strength as if this were merely a warm-up.
If they had chosen to unleash their full power-
The courtyard would have already been reduced to ruins within a dozen
breaths.
But of course, doing so would have weakened them for the next fight, which is
why it was taking longer than it might have otherwise.
Moreover-
"Argh! What's happening? I can't control my body!"
"Hey! Move! What are you doing in the middle of the fight?"
"Quit messing around and help me!"
All around the battlefield, many Azure Sun Holy Sect members fell without any
apparent reason.
They were all people from Azure Sun who had cultivated the Heavenly Mandate Assimilation Art!
Bai Zihan quietly caused them to lose control of their qi, and thus the battle- which was already easy-became even more one-sided.
Bai Zihan also tried to see whether he could do the same to Wen Haoyu, just
like he had done to Han Sha, but was unsuccessful.
It seemed that Wen Haoyu hadn't fallen to temptation, or perhaps he was cultivating a similarly powerful cultivation technique.
But regardless, he had avoided being controlled by Bai Zihan. Confusion filled the atmosphere as both the Bai Clan and Azure Sun didn't understand what was happening to some of them.
Of course, it didn't last long, and the Bai Clan members took this chance to
eliminate them without mercy.
They didn't care what went wrong with them. The fact that they had crossed
Bai Zihan was enough to warrant death.
The Sect Leader stood atop the pavilion stairs, watching.
His face was drained of color.
"This... this can't be..."
He had known the Bai Clan was stronger.
Of course he had.
He had personally seen that with his own eyes during the war with the
Demonic Forces.
But this-
They were even stronger than he had thought.
At equal cultivation levels, his core disciples were being defeated in moments.
At higher levels, the gap widened further.
The Bai Clan's spiritual qi was denser and purer.
Their techniques were more powerful.
They did not waste qi. They did not overextend.
Even while fighting, they preserved energy for the next opponent.
It was as if they were not engaged in a desperate battle-
But conducting a training exercise.
Moreover-
Some of his own elders and disciples were collapsing without reason.
Wen Haoyu's fingers trembled behind his back.
"How... "What did you do, Bai Zihan?"
Wen Haoyu didn't know what was happening, but he immediately assumed it
had something to do with Bai Zihan.
There was no way he was unrelated to this. Just yesterday many of them had
no problems, and today they were collapsing as if severely injured.
The Sect Leader staggered back half a step. Impossible!
Absolutely impossible.
His gaze darted across the battlefield, seeking any sign of reversal.
Then he saw the weakest link of the Bai Clan and also something that might
turn things in their favor.
Bai Zihan!
But of course, he didn't think it would be easy, considering that the two Grand
Elders had yet to make move.
They could easily intercept anyone below the Immortal Realm.
Then-
"Elders! One of you, attack Bai Zihan, and another, kill the evidence!"
He sent a telepathic message to two of the elders. There was no need to guess what Wen Haoyu was aiming for.
With Bai Zihan being targetted, it was certain that all the elders and Grand Elders near him would move to protect him.
So while they were doing so, they could take care of the children.
Wen Haoyu thought that as long as he eliminated those experimental specimens, then the Bai Clan would lack concrete evidence. Without them, even if the Bai Clan knew about their dark secret, they couldn't
do much with it. "Understood!"
Two Elders in the Void Refinement Realm replied.
Whoosh! They immediately moved to fulfill the order.
First, it was the attack on Bai Zihan.
"Young Master Bai, you are done for!"
He shouted at the top of his lung.
The first elder made as much commotion as he could to attract as much
attention as possible.
While the other waited a second before quietly moving toward the children.
The children didn't even seem to notice him, and the others were all distracted
by the commotion caused by the first elder.
"You should have stayed behind," he muttered as he moved to kill the children,
who were still unaware of his presence.
A white blur flashed past him.
Bang!
The elder's head spun into the air.
His body continued forward three more steps before falling.
One of the Bai Clan Elders had appeared.
His expression was cold.
"Hmph! Do you think we can't see through your plan?"
Behind him, the children huddled closer together after realizing what had
almost happened.
As for the elder whose target was Bai Zihan-
His body had already been split into two.
