Walker Of The Worlds

Chapter 3244: Like The Breath Of The First Mother Dragon

Chapter 3244: Like The Breath Of The First Mother Dragon

The Elder Ice Drake, lying near the center of the valley, raised his humanoid head weakly.

His voice, though faint, still carried dignity. "Human... it is too late," he rasped. "This poison is beyond immortal means to cleanse. Only a Grandmaster Alchemist Healer might help... Even I cannot... suppress it much longer."

"Do not speak," Lin Mu said, stepping forward. His voice softened as he looked into the elder’s dimming eyes. "Save your strength. I’ll handle the rest."

The Elder blinked, confusion flickering across his scaly face.

"You...?" He tried to speak, but before he could say another word, a soft, warm aura began to radiate from Lin Mu’s body.

HUALA

At first, it was faint... a gentle pulse that felt like a summer breeze in the middle of winter. Then, as Lin Mu began to chant, the entire valley’s atmosphere shifted.

"Embrace the heart of nature and bask in its benevolence," his voice intoned, calm and deep. "Cleanse your heart and purify all that taints the worlds."

The words echoed like a divine song, filling the icy expanse with a living, breathing warmth.

HUMMMMMMMM~

From Lin Mu’s chest burst forth a radiant green light.

It pulsed outward in concentric waves, shimmering like emerald petals unfurling across the air. The light softened the towering mountain walls of the cold valley, making it feel as though spring itself had come to the glacial mountains.

Everyone froze, their work forgotten for a moment as they felt the change.

Monk Hushu’s eyes widened mid-chant. Daoist Chu stopped crushing a pill. Cattaleya stared in awe, her lips parting slightly. Even Xiao Yin and Xiao Yang paused, their instincts alert to the pure natural force filling the air.

The Elder Ice Drake let out a trembling exhale. "What... what is this feeling?"

Lin Mu’s voice grew softer but more resonant. "The Healing Heart Sutra," he murmured. "A gift from Nature itself."

Green energy, pure and vibrant, flowed from Lin Mu’s body like streams of living light.

They slithered across the ground and climbed up the wounded Ice Drakes, wrapping gently around their bodies like comforting vines. Each tendril pulsed with life, glowing brighter as it entered through their wounds, their scales, and even their eyes.

A collective sigh spread through the valley as the Ice Drakes stopped thrashing.

The pain that had twisted their bodies began to ease. The poison that corroded their bloodlines sizzled and dissolved, replaced by waves of nurturing energy that mended their flesh.

The faint sound of heartbeats filled the valley, syncing with Lin Mu’s rhythm as he continued to chant.

"By the heavens," Cattaleya whispered. "It’s... beautiful."

Daoist Chu felt his own Qi resonate with the healing energy, the pills in his hands glowing faintly in harmony. "Such purity," he murmured. "To use natural essence like this... it must consume an immense amount of Qi."

He was right.

Lin Mu could feel it... his reserves draining like an open floodgate.

Every second burned through vast quantities of Immortal qi, but he refused to stop. He saw the trembling of the Ice Drakes lessen, the frost breath returning to their nostrils, the light returning to their eyes.

The Elder Ice Drake let out a long, rumbling exhale that echoed like distant thunder. "This... this warmth... it feels like the breath of the First Mother Dragon," he said in disbelief. "How can such a power exist in one so young? A human..."

Lin Mu didn’t respond.

His lips continued to move, his chant unwavering. The light grew softer, denser, and deeper until it filled the valley with a calm, almost sacred serenity.

Half an hour passed like a slow, eternal heartbeat.

When the final wisp of green energy faded, every Ice Drake lay still, their breathing deep and steady. The sickly gray sheen on their scales had vanished, replaced with renewed blue luster.

Even the Elder’s once-dull eyes now glimmered with vitality.

Lin Mu, however, was pale as snow. His breathing grew shallow, and his knees trembled beneath him. The air around him flickered as his Qi dried up almost entirely.

He looked at the Elder Ice Drake one last time and managed a faint smile. "You’ll be fine now," he whispered.

Then, as his vision blurred, he felt the world tilt.

"Lin Mu!" Cattaleya shouted, rushing forward being the closest to him, but before anyone could catch him, he collapsed to the icy floor with a soft thud.

The gentle hum of nature still lingered in the air, as if the world itself bowed in gratitude for his sacrifice while thousands of new plants native to the icy ranges, now filled the valley.

A while later...

When Lin Mu opened his eyes, the world returned to him in a haze of soft blue light.

The ceiling above him shimmered faintly, every icy facet catching the dim glow of the crystals embedded within. It was the grand central hall of the Ice Drakes, its vast ceiling carved from translucent glacial stone that radiated a soothing cold for the drakes.

But beneath him, instead of the expected chill of the frosty floor, Lin Mu felt warmth. A steady, comforting heat pulsed through his body, wrapping around him like a living blanket.

"Mmm?" Blinking a few times, he slowly reached down and touched the source of the warmth.

His fingers met something soft and thick, with the faint texture of fur. When he pressed a little harder, a rhythmic pulse of life met his touch. Lin Mu froze for a second, then smiled faintly.

It was not a bed.

He was lying on Little Shrubby.

As his vision cleared fully, Lin Mu could see the beast in his resting state. Little Shrubby’s eyes were closed, and waves of intertwined fire and wood Qi were rising from his body in serene pulses.

The gentle energies washed over Lin Mu again and again, nourishing his meridians and steadily warmed his exhausted spirit. Each wave felt like the brush of a loyal companion’s care.

The realization struck him, Little Shrubby had been sitting here, unmoving, maintaining this delicate balance of Qi to help him recover. Even without being told, the beast had understood his master’s needs.
