Chapter 3381: The Eastern Immortal Court’s Territory
A few more months slipped by without any further significant disturbances.
After the terrifying encounter with the Two Headed Void Loach, the teleportation channel became a strangely peaceful road. The group realized something rather quickly. No other Void Beast wanted to come within hundreds of kilometers of the channel after the aura that had leaked from Lin Mu’s ring.
Xukong’s presence, even a tiny fraction of it, was absolute terror for any creature born of the void.
Thus, the months drifted by uneventfully. Spatial turbulence came and went, but it was nothing severe. Most were just ripples that rocked the channel for a few seconds before stabilizing. Once or twice the channel twisted a little too sharply, forcing Lin Mu and the others to brace themselves as the floor swayed in a dizzying arc.
But compared to a ferocious Void Loach that could break the channel entirely, these tiny fluctuations felt like splashes from a puddle.
Meng Bai had stopped asking if anything exciting would happen.
He simply accepted that their journey was dull and settled into cultivation and training. Daoist Chu was lost in research again, spending long hours reading about teleportation theory, Eastern Immortal Court geography, and records of ancient beasts.
Cattaleya trained Meng Bai with increasingly brutal efficiency, claiming that by the time they reached the Eastern Immortal Court, he would be ready to challenge the heavens. Little Shrubby cooked, ate, slept, cooked again, then slept on Lin Mu’s lap whenever he found the chance.
Meanwhile, Lin Mu spent his time cultivating and refining the small fraction of Void Loach essence that remained. Even after months, the blob still showed no sign of shrinking. He had managed to pull hundreds of wisps of spatial Qi from it, but nothing about its size had changed.
Xukong had laughed, calling it the true meaning of condensed essence. Only the most bizarre creatures of the void could form something so absurdly dense.
Finally, as the twelfth month arrived, the teleportation channel began to tremble in a very different way. Not the rippling of turbulence, not the shaking of impact, but the gentle quiver of arrival.
Lin Mu opened his eyes immediately.
"We are arriving," he said calmly.
Everyone stopped what they were doing.
Meng Bai grabbed his spear.Cattaleya stretched her arms.Daoist Chu collected his scrolls.Little Shrubby trotted out of Lin Mu’s room with a yawn, flames flickering on his tail.
Lin Mu sent the Mobile Courtyard into his ring. The walls, doors, furniture, and decorations folded into a tiny shimmer and vanished. The moment the courtyard disappeared, the surrounding space shook again, squeezing them briefly.
Then... a flash of bright silver light enveloped their vision.
SHUA
When the world came back into focus, they were standing on an arrival teleportation platform.
Lin Mu blinked once.
Everyone around them froze.
Daoist Chu let out a low breath. Cattaleya rolled her shoulders. Meng Bai smiled brightly, excited to see something new. Little Shrubby looked around and sniffed the air.
The architecture of the teleportation hall was immediately distinct from what they had seen back in Outpost Thirteen.
This hall was grand, tall, and decorated in shades of pale blue, azure, and forest green. Carvings of a serpentine dragon wrapped across the pillars, each scale glowing faintly with immortal Qi. Golden horns stretched along the ceiling, while a mosaic of swirling clouds and rivers decorated the floor.
They were no longer under the protection of the White Tiger.
They had entered the territory of the Azure Dragon.
Daoist Chu spoke first. "We have arrived in the Eastern Immortal Court."
Meng Bai looked around in awe. "It feels different already. The atmosphere is sharper, somehow. Like a sword drawn from its sheath."
Cattaleya nodded. "The Eastern Immortal Court has always been known for its martial prowess and refinement. Even the air feels eager to fight."
From there, the group followed the signs toward the exit. Before they could leave the hall, however, they were stopped by a barrier array. Five officials stepped forward, each holding jade tablets and array scanning disks.
An immigration checkpoint.
One of the officials spoke respectfully. "Welcome to Outpost Number Eleven. Please place your tokens above these disks and answer a few questions."
Daoist Chu stepped forward first and presented his Western Immortal Court trainee token. The official blinked and bowed slightly, immediately clearing him with only two questions.
Lin Mu followed next and presented the token Elder Dong Bo had given him. The moment the White Tiger crest on the token flared gently, the officials stiffened.
They bowed deeply.
"Senior, please proceed. No further questions are required."
Lin Mu gave a small polite nod and walked past. Even Cattaleya raised a brow at how exaggerated their reactions were.
The rest of the group passed without issue. Little Shrubby had to be scanned twice because the barrier array could not properly categorize him due to multiple bloodlines, but they eventually let him through as Lin Mu’s companion beast.
Once outside the teleportation hall, they finally saw the world of their arrival.
The outpost was massive.
Buildings were arranged in a complex but aesthetically pleasing pattern that resembled coiling rivers from above. Every major building had Azure Dragon motifs on the roof, windows, pillars, or floors. Green tiled roofs gleamed in the sunlight. Azure banners fluttered. The streets were wide and filled with cultivators from different races.
It resembled Outpost Thirteen in purpose but was far more elegant in design.
Meng Bai sighed. "So this is the Eastern Immortal Court."
Daoist Chu looked around and nodded. "This outpost is number eleven. It means it manages a major region of the court. No wonder it feels grand."
A large formation board hovered near the plaza ahead, displaying glowing letters and diagrams.
Lin Mu and the others approached it.
The board welcomed visitors and displayed the location.
"Outpost Number Eleven of the Eastern Immortal Court stationed on Martial Fist King World."
Meng Bai read aloud. "Martial Fist King World. That sounds... intense."
Cattaleya laughed lightly. "A world named Martial Fist King is destined for trouble. I like that."
