Chapter 3861: What Technique To Suggest?

Chapter 3861: What Technique To Suggest?

Hearing the Peak Head’s words, Lin Mu felt considerable relief internally. ’Good.’

Even the most experienced body cultivator of the Wild Peak had failed to identify anything suspicious.

Of course, Lin Mu technically did possess a unique physique.

The Burdenless Dominator Physique had transformed his body far beyond ordinary limits. Combined with his years of body cultivation, various techniques, immortal essence refinement, and countless fortuitous encounters, his current physical state had probably become something extremely difficult to categorize.

Peak Head Mountain Roar’s inability to recognize it was understandable.

High Elder Palm Saber soon asked the next important question. "Then what technique should Little Bull practice?"

High Elder Shatter Peak immediately became serious again.

"That’s what matters." He agreed. "If we don’t know his physique, choosing the wrong technique could cause problems."

Peak Head Mountain Roar remained silent and he looked at Little Bull. His gaze moved across the young man’s body once more as a full minute passed.

"His physique already grants him the strength of an Immortal." Peak Head Mountain Roar finally said.

High Elder Shatter Peak nodded. "We saw that during the assessment."

"At least a low tier Immortal." Peak Head Mountain Roar added. "Perhaps slightly stronger depending on the opponent."

Little Bull smiled proudly.

"But his cultivation and longevity is still that of a mortal." Peak Head Mountain Roar continued.

The smile remained on Little Bull’s face.

"His flesh is strong. His bones are strong. His organs are strong. His vitality is immense." The Peak Head explained. "Yet the fundamental state of his cultivation has not changed. His body has never undergone the formal transformations caused by cultivation."

High Elder Palm Saber understood the problem. "Then Spirit Realm techniques..."

"Would provide little benefit." Peak Head Mountain Roar finished.

High Elder Shatter Peak frowned. "None?"

"I checked several possible paths while examining him." Peak Head Mountain Roar replied. "Most common body cultivation techniques are compatible with him. Some even have excellent compatibility."

"That’s good." High Elder Shatter Peak said.

"No." Peak Head Mountain Roar replied.

The High Elder paused.

Peak Head Mountain Roar’s expression became serious.

"Those techniques were designed to gradually strengthen a cultivator’s body. Tempering the skin, strengthening the muscles, refining the bones, nourishing the organs. Little Bull’s body has already surpassed the results those techniques are intended to produce."

High Elder Palm Saber frowned deeply. "So cultivating them would be pointless."

"Worse." Peak Head Mountain Roar said. "They could eventually limit him."

High Elder Shatter Peak’s expression changed. "Limit him?"

Peak Head Mountain Roar nodded.

"If he builds his foundation according to a technique designed for an ordinary physique, the cultivation path created by that technique will become embedded within his body. Once he reaches the Immortal Realm, changing that foundation could become extremely difficult."

The hall grew quiet while High Elder Shatter Peak scratched his beard.

"Then what are we supposed to give him?" he asked. "We can’t hand a mortal an Immortal Realm body cultivation technique."

Little Bull suddenly raised his hand as the three Elders looked at him.

"Yes?" High Elder Shatter Peak asked.

"Some disciples gave me techniques." Little Bull said.

"What techniques?" Little Bull began listing the names.

Peak Head Mountain Roar listened while High Elder Palm Saber nodded.

"Basic techniques."

"I practiced them too." Little Bull added. "I think they worked."

Peak Head Mountain Roar’s eyes narrowed. "Come here."

Little Bull approached and the Peak Head placed two fingers against Little Bull’s wrist. A few seconds passed as he did a different kind of check.

Then he nodded.

"Peak Body Tempering Realm." Peak Head Mountain Roar stated. "Thirteenth Stage."

High Elder Shatter Peak looked pleased. "Already?"

"I practiced a lot." Little Bull said.

Lin Mu remained calm internally. This was exactly the state he had created.

Among the techniques he had studied, Lin Mu had primarily used the Hundred Breath Body Exercise as his reference. The technique was incredibly mild and possessed characteristics of both body tempering and basic Qi cultivation.

Its effects were subtle and this made it perfect for Lin Mu.

Using the Absolute Body Control Art, he had adjusted the flow of his vitality, changed the condition of several muscle groups, and reproduced the tiny signs created by the Hundred Breath Body Exercise.

Peak Head Mountain Roar had detected precisely what Lin Mu wanted him to detect.

The old man released Little Bull’s wrist.

"He should soon develop basic Qi control." Peak Head Mountain Roar said.

High Elder Palm Saber nodded. "Then we can give him a proper technique."

Peak Head Mountain Roar remained silent. Lin Mu noticed the old man’s expression. The Peak Head was thinking. A minute passed, then another and finally, Peak Head Mountain Roar raised his head.

"Perhaps we shouldn’t give him one."

High Elder Shatter Peak stared. "What?"

High Elder Palm Saber looked equally confused. "You just said his current techniques could limit him."

"Correct."

"Then he needs a better one."

"Perhaps he needs no technique at all." Peak Head Mountain Roar replied.

Little Bull tilted his head while the two High Elders exchanged glances.

Peak Head Mountain Roar leaned back upon his throne. "It might be time for this child to approach cultivation through the path of the ancients."

Lin Mu’s eyes flickered.

"The path of the ancients?" High Elder Shatter Peak asked.

Peak Head Mountain Roar nodded. "Do either of you remember the Primordial Path?"

Both High Elders froze.

High Elder Palm Saber reacted first.

"The Primordial Path?" he repeated. "You mean the primitive cultivation method?"

"The one used by the first Qi cultivators?" High Elder Shatter Peak asked.

"Yes." Peak Head Mountain Roar replied.

High Elder Shatter Peak frowned. "Wasn’t that simply drawing Qi into the body and letting it flow naturally?"

"Essentially." Peak Head Mountain Roar said.

High Elder Palm Saber looked confused. "What does that have to do with body cultivation?"

"Because Qi cultivators were not the first cultivators." Peak Head Mountain Roar replied.

The two High Elders became quiet.

"Before the Primordial Path of Qi cultivation existed, there was an even older method." The Peak Head explained. "The earliest body cultivators possessed no techniques. They had no manuals. They did not understand meridians, Dantians, apertures, or circulation paths."
