Chapter 1173: Section 1174 Ascend the Throne

Chapter 1173: Section 1174 Ascend the Throne

“Does Aoluxiya look like she’s asleep?”

At first, when someone said this, there were objections. How could one possibly fall asleep under such circumstances?

But as Aoluxiya remained motionless for a long time, and some Wizards used Spell Techniques to detect her state, they found that Aoluxiya did indeed seem to be asleep. Not only that, but all her bodily functions were in a state of decline, and this decline was continuing.

Completely unguarded.

“Could this be a deliberate trap, to lure us into attacking?” a Wizard asked.

“Using oneself as bait at this time, I think it’s unlikely. Rather than intentional, I feel that Aoluxiya seems to want to quickly deplete the Primeval Flame, thus resorting to this extreme method.”

“So, she feels that with the Night Monarch by her side, she can be so reckless?”

Although many people had guessed Aoluxiya’s thoughts, indeed, nobody dared to approach and attack Aoluxiya at this time. Everyone’s gaze silently watched the Night Monarch, waiting both for the arrival of the Monarch of Fire and for the Night Monarch to leave.

The upper body of the Night Monarch had already emerged from the vortex, now only the waist down remained.

For the legs part, the Night Monarch rose out much faster than the upper body had.

In just a short two minutes, the Night Monarch had turned around, revealing legs scorched by flames.

When the Night Monarch leaped out of the vortex, the sky suddenly changed color!

All the flames at this moment, all leaped up! Even the fire element within the Wizards and Demons who practiced fire seemed to want to break through barriers and rush into the outside world!

Even on Angel’s earlobes, where the Flame Mark was already faint, at this moment a new flame differentiated and began to dance joyously!

All the Fire Elements were boiling and frolicking!

It seemed in this way they were welcoming this newly born King of Fire!

The Night Monarch stood quietly on the tower top, the burning flames on his legs gradually dimming, transforming into leg armors similar to the patterns on his upper body after bathing in fire. This armor, although forged from flames, was filled with a cold metallic texture, a power that was paradoxical, chaotic, yet orderly.

Looking up at the sky, the Night Monarch caused the canopy of flames to move as he did.

At the same time, the Night Monarch emitted a terrifying aura. There was no oppression being spread, yet faced with that powerful physique, everyone’s heart felt as though a heavy stone had fallen, pressing them down so they couldn’t move.

Even people like Sinafa and Samantha, who stood at the pinnacle of the Wizards’ Realm in the Southern Domain, couldn’t maintain their composure in front of the quietly standing Night Monarch.

The Night Monarch’s aura grew stronger and stronger, imparting not a sense of oppression, but rather the majesty of a sovereign.

The continually ascending ‘King of Fire’ aura made one want to kneel before it involuntarily.

Humans, still for some matters of dignity, had not bent their knees. But the dense masses of Demons in the distance had all knelt down, even a great Demon like Nitotipu had lowered its noble head.

As the aura escalated to its peak, even Monty dared not look directly at the Night Monarch anymore.

That awe that seemed to be bestowed by heaven and earth had reached its zenith at this moment!

In everyone’s ears came whispering murmurs.

This murmuring, like countless devotees lost in the Evil God, under the leadership of Priests and Bishops, uttering a long chant. It buzzed, unclear to hear, yet made people feel extraordinarily uncomfortable, as if they were placed on a funeral pyre, every inch of their skin being roasted by the sacrificial fire…

As the whispers by the ear started, not long after, the flames in the sky began to surge and gather, and with the flames converging, the Void outside the ‘Birdcage’ could vaguely be seen.

When looking through the hollow flames at the Void outside the ‘Birdcage,’ everyone fell silent.

There were densely packed, numerous figures.

Although they were too far away to see clearly, just the radiance emitted from some of these figures, along with their sizes, induced a fearful trembling in the onlookers.

Along with the palpitations, fear, and unease, there was also a sense of anger.

The anger stemmed from humiliation.

Considering Lassudral to be a closed Miniature Garden, because of the disappearance of the flames, its corner was exposed by those outside the garden who blatantly spied on each performance inside.

How could it not be humiliating?

Malicious, greedy, hateful, even mocking gazes came in from beyond the Birdcage.

Although the flames were slowly peeling away, the Birdcage was still in place. Those outside could not enter, nor could those inside leave.

The peel-off flames gathered high in the sky and, under the influence of the world’s will, formed a blazing, almost black throne of fire with highly concentrated energy.

It was as though the throne was cast from flames!

Filled with endless majesty!

The Night Monarch gazed at the flame in the sky, without any hesitation, he stepped forward, stepping into the void as if it were solid.

The Night Monarch’s steps were slow, but with every step, flames inexplicably formed stairs under his feet. These stairs of flame did not extinguish easily; even when swept by the wind, they just shed sparks, evoking a feeling of desolation and antiquity.

The scene before them was like a solemn ceremony, telling everyone that a Monarch of Fire had been born!

As the night owner stepped onto the “Throne of Flames,” the ceremony was still not over. However, the night owner stood motionless within the flames, and the Throne of Flames began to transform into a line of fire that poured into the night owner’s brow.

The infusion was steady, neither fast nor slow, as if it were carrying some kind of power!

“When the infusion is over, that will be the moment the birdcage is unveiled,” said Luci, his eyes closed tight, with a Wheel of Time phantom shadow spinning behind him. The flames previously conjured by the world’s will had obscured it, making it difficult to discern the Wheel of Time here, but as the flames gathered, Luci vaguely saw some details.

Upon hearing this, Monty turned his head to look at Aoluxiya atop the distant tower, a gleam flashing in the depths of his eyes, “We can’t wait any longer. Everyone has seen the situation beyond the Void; we must complete the hunting plan before the birdcage opens.”

No sooner had the voice faded than a dark figure suddenly dashed towards the still “sleeping” Aoluxiya at the tower’s top.

It was not one of Monty’s humans, but rather the long-lurking Komodo.

Its choice of timing was similar to Monty’s, also lunging toward the defenseless Aoluxiya while the night owner was taking on the duties granted by the throne.

Komodo, watching Aoluxiya drawing ever nearer, the purple-white Primeval Flame swirling around it was now clearly visible.

“It’s mine, this is mine!” Greed and intoxication filled Komodo’s eyes.

Just as the purple-white Primeval Flame seemed within reach, a red-robed figure suddenly stood in its path.

Fire demon Tandin!

Komodo narrowed its eyes and without hesitation reached out its sharp claws towards Tandin, who responded with no delay, striking back in kind.

The clash of power began at that moment.

Like two streaks of light and shadow, Tandin and Komodo entwined in combat.

Tandin’s strength was at best comparable to that of an ordinary great Demon, originally no match for Komodo which had devoured two Blood Cocoons. However, Komodo had sustained injuries from its fight with Fafnir that had not yet healed; many were deep to the bone and seriously damaged.

Moreover, its thoughts were still being influenced by fragments of consciousness from Minotaur and Urdixinos within the Blood Cocoons. For the moment, Tandin and Komodo were closely matched in their struggle.

However, even if Tandin could fend off Komodo, there were others coveting Aoluxiya at this time.

With a flash, Monty also arrived next to Aoluxiya.

Tandin’s pupils shrank, and he swiftly turned to block but at that moment, a frost-haired, fire-eyed witch appeared before him.

The witch exuded a strange, contradictory aura.

Tandin could only halt, but just as he stopped, Komodo let loose a terrifying Flame Arrow from behind, darting towards Monty’s back.

“Butler Tandin, be careful!” Greerwu, hiding behind the painting of “Night,” shouted.

But trapped and surrounded, Tandin was completely unable to defend himself.

Just as Tandin thought he was about to take the hit, the witch before him suddenly swung at him with an Energy Blast intertwined with ice and fire.

Tandin was startled for a moment. In this situation, his only option was to dodge to the side.

But even if he managed to dodge momentarily, it would be difficult to guard against further attacks.

To Tandin’s surprise, however, the Energy Blast merely passed by him, not controlled by the witch afterward, and instead collided directly with the Flame Arrow shot by Komodo.

The two energies met, and after a bright light, they gradually nullified each other.

Tandin looked at the witch before him in astonishment as she coldly said, “Now, I won’t hold back.”

Having escaped the previous peril, Tandin now realized that this witch seemed to be the same one who had fought with Pannas Charm Demon outside the Hunting Museum, named… Sinafa?

He remembered that she had lost in the end, but the owner of the Misty Cabin had pleaded for her, preventing Sinafa’s demise.

Latter, when Sinafa approached the Hunting Museum, Tandin personally blocked her. Then, she fled.

Of course, Tandin could have easily caught up to the severely wounded Sinafa. He could have even ambushed and killed her while she was fighting Pannas Charm Demon.

However, Tandin did not do so at the time.

So, was this why Sinafa seemed to attack him earlier but was actually helping him avert a deadly crisis?

As Tandin thought this, there came a “swooshing” sound from behind. Komodo, seeing that Sinafa and Tandin were engaged, took the chance to rush towards Aoluxiya.

Tandin looked back and saw a hazy Phantom Shadow rising around Aoluxiya; the True Spirit was already Unsealed.

With the True Spirit’s protection, it should last a long time.

Thinking this, Tandin did not pursue Komodo but instead turned back to earnestly observe Sinafa.

The previous strike from Sinafa had repaid a debt of gratitude that wasn’t truly owed, but now, it was time to get serious.
