Warrior’s Promise

Chapter 2702 - Give Them To Whoever He Pleased

Chapter 2702 Give Them To Whoever He Pleased

Su Mo proceeded cautiously towards the presence he had detected. It was a weak one, barely detectable, so he was not sure who they were or how strong they could be.

He was afraid of no one but he was wary of ambush. Under normal circumstances, no one would be here alone.

Soon, Su Mo was a mere thousand miles away from the exit.

He could rush out in a matter of moments, but then he discovered Ye Jin.

“Just him?” Su Mo wondered, but he could not back out now. Ambush or not, he had to go for

it.

Whoosh!

He accelerated at top speed towards the exit.

Swish!

The space was torn apart as he rushed quickly like a sword charging forward. He was almost at the exit.

“Haha! You’re finally here!” Ye Jin cackled as he sprung out, blocking Su Mo’s way.

About two thousand others came out of hiding after him and completely blocked the exit.

“So there is an ambush!” Su Mo’s face sank as he stopped abruptly about a thousand feet away from his opponents.

“Hey, hand over the tokens!”

“Hand them over, and we’ll spare your life!”

“Haha, what luck!”

The crowd shouted and laughed. They were very excited to have come across him.

Out of so many exits here, Su Mo had happened to choose this one. They were really lucky!

“Wu Shan, hand over the tokens!” Ye Jin exclaimed. He did not attack immediately because Wu Shan would have turned and fled otherwise, and if that happened it would be much harder to chase him down.

But once they had got the tokens, he would not hesitate to kill off Su Mo. He had to avenge his junior, Zang Renjie.

“I have twenty with me. How about I keep one for myself, and you can have the rest?” Su Mo’s eyes glimmered whilst a look of disgust hung on his face. “Sure!”

“Hand over the nineteen tokens first!”

“That’s right! Hand them over first!”

The crowd raged even more. For them, it would be best if Su Mo willingly handed over the tokens. They would fight for the remaining one afterwards.

“Fine!” Su Mo nodded and, with a flip of his palm, a bunch of colored pendants appeared in his hand. Those were the pendants they had been looking for.

All eyes glimmered at the sight of the tokens. They could feel their blood boiling. “Catch!” Su Mo said he let go of the tokens.

But he did not throw the tokens towards Ye Jin’s group. Instead, he tossed them behind him.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Everyone rushed for the tokens as quickly as they could once Su Mo had thrown them out.

What was more interesting was that some people even began to attack the ones next to or in front of them.

Only by getting rid of the people next to or in front of them could they get their hands on the tokens.

Ahhhh~~~

Screams abounded as the victims died on the spot. They were killed by their neighbors before they even realized it.

Ye Jin, for one, was vicious. With his hands outstretched, he blasted the two next to him into smithereens.

“A bunch of idiots!” Su Mo’s mouth twitched into a smirk. The way was clear because everyone had gone to snatch the tokens.

At the same time, those tokens were still nearest to him.

With a shift in his thoughts, his Primordial Spirit appeared and once again devoured the tokens back.

Then, in a flash, he rushed out of there quickly.

“Die!”

Before he did so, Su Mo took out his sword and charged at Ye Jin.

Swish!

A sharp sword shadow with immense might was seen heading straight towards Ye Jin.

“Not good!” “He’s escaping!”

“Stop him!”

Many people shouted as they hurriedly turned back to stop Su Mo, but they were too late.

“No!”

Ye Jin let out a horrified scream. Facing Su Mo, he felt the crisis of impending doom.

No one came to help him. They just wanted to stop Su Mo from leaving. They did not care whether Ye Jin lived or died.

Ye Jin had no one next to him either, because he had killed them.

Boom!

There was an explosion. Blood rained down on them. There was a great disparity between the two men. Ye Jin could not rival Su Mo and was instantly killed by the sword shadow. His body and soul disintegrated.

Whoosh!

Su Mo cared little for him as he rushed out of the Space Beast like a flash of lightning.

He stopped right after coming out of the Space Beast’s nostril. A large cluster of Elders and disciples of the major branches had surrounded the periphery.

rro

Everyone stared at Su Mo, dumbfounded. They had all seen him snatching the tokens.

There were only thirty tokens in total and you managed to take half of them. What do you expect the other candidates to do?

Many Elders showed their disgust.

They had never dreamed that one person would seize more than half of the thirty tokens that were meant for millions of candidates to fight over.

Those who had been pursuing Su Mo did not come out of the Space Beast’s nostril.

Su Mo had left the Space Beast’s body and there were many Elders outside. They could not pursue him any further, and thus angrily backed away.

“Teacher!” Su Mo flew towards Revered Jin Wu and bowed.

Reverend Jin Wu was standing next to Priest Tian Hua.

“Wu Shan, how many tokens have you taken?”. Reverend Jin Wu first peered at Tai Ying Sovereign standing atop the Space Beast’s head, then asked Su Mo with a peculiar look on his face.

Tai Ying Sovereign said nothing as he turned to look at Su Mo too.

“Teacher, I have twenty. I’ll give one each to Senior Lin Ya and Senior Xuan Qing. I can pass some to you too if you have any tribe members or students who would like to become a disciple of the headquarters!” Su Mo said respectfully. After he said that, everyone fell so quiet that they could hear a pin drop. The Elders’ faces began to twitch. Even Reverend Jin Wu looked stiff.

This was the Headquarters Selection, held once every hundred years. The tokens represented the quota for admission, and should be contested based on skills. Now it seemed, according to Su Mo, that he would give them to whomever he pleased.

They should not be given randomly!

Many found this unacceptable, but there was nothing they could say. Ever since ancient times, the tokens had represented the quota and were counted on a first come, first served basis.

Therefore, it was a given that Su Mo could allocate the tokens however he wanted. Moreover, such an incident, where a candidate took multiple tokens, had happened in previous Selections.

The thing was, twenty tokens occupied by one individual had crossed the line. “Absurd!” Someone roared. The speaker was Reverend Tian Jue from the Qinghua Branch.

He was beyond livid, his eyes filled with anger, because he had witnessed his disciple Ye Jin being killed by Su Mo.

First Zang Renjie and now Ye Jin.

Both of his proud disciples had been killed, one after another, by Su Mo.

Reverend Tian Jue’s killing intent intensified but he could not lash out yet. Death was inevitable in the Selections. There was no reason for him to strike.

“Tai Ying Sovereign, Wu Shan’s taken twenty tokens and he plans to allocate them at will. He’s taking the tokens as a joke! He’s not worthy!” Reverend Tian Jue bowed towards Tai Ying Sovereign and said, “I suggest we take back the rest of the nineteen tokens from him and re-enter them into the Space Beast’s body, for the other disciples to compete over. That’s the proper way.”
