Weakest Beast Tamer Gets All SSS Dragons

Chapter 1163 - Taming the Old World - Diamond Beasts - IV

Chapter 1163 - Taming the Old World - Diamond Beasts - IV

The shockwave cleared…

Ren stepped out of the swirling dust. Five concentric layers of mana barriers hummed around his body, deflecting the falling ash and ambient heat.

He didn't pause to admire his work. He didn't wait for the smoke to settle or for the dragon to reveal its wounds.

Time was a luxury.

His hands were already weaving a new runic sequence. He sent mana and reached out to the towering spike he had just summoned. The jagged surface of the earth began to shift. The dull gray stone took on a dark metallic sheen. By weaving earth, fire, and water mana together in a highly specific ratio, he altered the structure of the rock. It approached the legendary density of the lost metal element. It became incredibly heavy, yet retained a degree of flexibility that ordinary diamond lacked.

The construct responded to his will like a phantom limb.

Across the crater, the smoke parted. The guardian loomed in the haze.

It was still breathing. The explosion had torn away large chunks of armor, leaving weeping craters in its flank where raw muscle burned. Yet an apex predator of this caliber possessed a stubborn vitality. Ren had already calculated its survival.

He wasn't surprised; he was prepared.

He jumped toward the peak of his metallic spike. Grabbing the edge, he forced the bedrock underneath to instantly liquefy into soft mud. The sudden loss of foundation caused the heavy structure to tip with his body weight.

Ren used the momentum of the fall to his further advantage. He molded the base, rounding it out into a blunt weight, and raised a smaller pillar of stone from the ground to act as a fulcrum. Applying all his strength to the lever, he swung the entire construct.

The pseudo-hammer of metal and compressed mineral tore through the air.

It slammed directly into the guardian's ribs.

The impact cracked like thunder. The force knocked the deflated, gas-leaking creature off its feet, sending it crashing onto its side.

This was the exact angle shift Ren needed.

The blast had blown away some of the thick scales on the dragon's back too. Now, those raw unprotected wounds faced straight at the enemy beast.

The three-headed Hydra immediately recalibrated its aim. The column of blue light rained down, punishing the exposed flesh.

Ren kept the pressure on. He commanded the head of the pseudo-hammer, which currently rested heavily on the fallen beast, to reshape itself. The rounded metal warped, extending long jagged spikes that dug deep into the dragon's side like the talons of a massive claw.

The creature roared, trying to thrash its way free. Ren didn't give it the chance... He raised both hands, pulling more constructs from the bedrock.

More stone arches dense as iron erupted from the earth, pinning the dragon's limbs, head and tail to the floor. It was firmly anchored. This immobilization allowed the Hydra to focus its beam into a single point of penetration without the target shifting a single inch.

The objective was simple. Drill straight down into the biological center of the beast and shatter the core.

He remembered the grueling fight against the Earth Dragon. That battle had stretched into an agonizing marathon because the creature constantly layered itself in impenetrable rock. They had been forced to chip away at defense after defense from every conceivable angle just to reach the center.

Today, the roles were reversed. Ren wasn't suffering through the terrain; he was weaponizing it.

Instead of letting the enemy armor itself, Ren used the earth to build a prison. The Fire Guardian tried to summon its signature coat of molten lava, but the continuous freezing light drilling into its head and spine shattered its concentration. Every defensive advantage a guardian usually drew from its native environment had been stolen. Ren had taken the volcano and turned it into a cage.

♢♢♢♢

With a clear target and no allies in the crossfire the fight became remarkably simple.

This was an advantage Ren hadn't fully appreciated until today. Fighting alone, infused with the durability of the triple fusion, changed everything. He didn't have to calculate the blast radius of his attacks to spare a comrade. He didn't have to coordinate defensive lines, shout warnings, or hold back his output.

The entire fire mountain was his playground.

His physical density under the three-way fusion was immense. If the dragon somehow broke free and managed to step on him, Ren wouldn't be crushed. His compressed physiology would simply sink into the bedrock unharmed despite the size difference. Add the five layers of continuous mana shielding to that equation, and he was virtually untouchable.

He could afford to be reckless. He could step right into the jaws of a guardian, a position that meant instant death for any other Tamer, because the standard consequences of physics simply did not apply to him anymore.

He tightened the grip of the pseudo-metal restraints, sinking the claws deeper into the muscle.

Driven to desperation, the trapped guardian resorted to its final defense mechanism. It began to heat up. The creature's internal temperature spiked to sun-surface-like levels. It was trying to melt the bindings, hoping to liquefy the restraints and slip away through the molten slag.

It was a perfectly sound tactic... Against ordinary iron or stone, it would have worked in seconds.

But Ren hadn't used ordinary materials.

This alloy was denser than diamond, forged under the multiplied pressure of his artifacts. It approached the properties of the mythic adamantium, possessing a staggering resistance to thermal breakdown. The air around the dragon warped and blistered. The ground beneath its belly turned to glass. It generated enough ambient heat to melt the core of a mountain, yet the metallic prison holding it down only took on a dull cherry hue.

The bonds did not yield an inch.

Ren raised his hand to support the Hydra's beam.

He projected his own runic arrays into the air, wrapping them around the descending column of light. The runes caused the energy to spin like a drill, amplifying its piercing power. He guided the concentrated blue laser through the shredded scales, cutting past the final layers of muscle and bone.

The creature couldn't move. Its critical wounds were laid bare. Ren had weaponized the entire landscape. There was nothing left to prolong the fight.

The spinning beam struck the core.

The resulting shatter echoed across the empty crater. Surprising even himself, Ren stood over the corpse of the Fire Guardian.

The entire hunt had taken less than thirty minutes.
