Weakest Beast Tamer Gets All SSS Dragons

Chapter 1181 - Taming the Old World - Last Key

Chapter 1181 - Taming the Old World - Last Key

It now possessed a colossal, well-structured body.

The ancient metallic limbs were seamlessly integrated into a central, biomechanical chassis, operating with the terrifying adeptness of an apex predator rather than a mindless tumor.

It had taken the shape of a towering, mechanical dragon.

And as the stealth cloak dissolved, it exuded a suffocating, pure Diamond-rank aura that instantly made the thousands of Platinum mutants swarming the field look like insignificant small side dishes.

♢♢♢♢

Never, in the entire recorded history of the sister cities, had the corrupted artifact actively assaulted the Great Wall with the intention of breaching and holding its ground. Its historical engagements had always been brief, chaotic skirmishes, calculated hit-and-run tactics designed to inflict maximum terror before vanishing.

There was a very specific, tactical reason for that cowardice.

The eight mechanical segments were fundamentally indestructible, and the entity could infinitely regenerate its control by absorbing mutant flesh. But in the past, the corrupted fodder available to Selthia had simply been too weak to sustain a prolonged siege against the human Vanguard.

If she dragged an engagement out, she ran a massive risk. If thousands of elite human Tamers coordinated a sustained offensive, they could theoretically isolate the mechanical artifacts from the corrupted meat feeding them. If they managed to vaporize the organic residue completely before the mutant beasts could regenerate their control ball, the indestructible relics would simply fall to the dirt.

The artifacts would no longer be in Selthia's hands.

That specific fear was exactly why she had only ever deployed them at the very end of her intricate plots, waiting until the defenders were thoroughly exhausted and geographically separated. The entity never stayed. It struck a devastating blow, tried to corrupt Ren, caused chaos, and immediately retreated into the dark.

But today, that fear no longer existed.

Her sprawling network of Platinum-tier horrors was stronger, unfathomably massive, and it was still actively growing. The strongest Tamers in the city were visibly bleeding, their cores running on fumes. And most importantly, the handsome, logic-defying anomaly who constantly threatened her grand designs was completely drained after murdering a guardian dragon.

Furthermore, the two special beasts now better connected to the surviving hostage's human core, a core she now possessed in a much more complete, physical form, granted the artifacts a biological chassis that simply could not be destroyed easily.

The human Vanguard vast majority did not possess enough firepower capable of scratching a true Diamond-rank entity. They could try to isolate the machinery all they wanted, but without the sheer output required to permanently vaporize the Diamond-tier organic body controlling it, isolation was tactically meaningless.

Selthia had orchestrated this masterpiece flawlessly. She utilized the shape-shifting properties of the Whisper of the Wind combined with the physical-dimension warping of the Warden of Space to mold the artifact's external aura into the silhouette of a dragon.

And resting at the absolute energy center of this unholy creation was her own beast. The progenitor of the rot, the one that gave her the ability to hear the crystal so well. The exact same parasite that currently lived within her corrupted Hydra, and had once lived within her own body from the very beginning.

The Amalgamation Leech.

It was the very same beast that remained physically trapped inside her original, crystallized body within the royal castle's prison network. Yet, just like Selthia herself, the Leech possessed the terrifying ability to manipulate the exterior world as long as its target came into direct contact with the corrupted crystal network or its ether.

This parasite was the true architect of the apocalypse. It was the entity actively injecting this massive new flow of corrupted ether into the battlefield. Decades ago, its egg had been absorbed by the purple crystal, giving it the ability to corrupt other beings and birthing the very first generation of mindless horrors.

After a long time, it had successfully integrated with his selected tamer… Selthia's core, continuously optimizing and upgrading the entire system of the corruption.

Now, operating remotely from its crystalline prison, the Leech was still pulling strings. It was aggressively siphoning the diluted, residual body of the original Dragon that had started everything, draining the old network entirely just to feed this new, perfected grid. This new system was an absolute stroke of luck, a sprawling network born from a single mutant that had spawned entirely thanks to the runic residue left behind in the destroyed cradle of its natural enemy.

The cradle of Ren's mushroom.

There were two more special beasts completely locked out of her direct control. The Puppeteer and one other had been lost halfway through their integration because of Dragaron's impertinence, now trapped in the crystal.

And the sixth entity, the Devourer, had been stolen right out from under her in the Starweaver territory before she could claim it.

But Selthia did not care about the missing pieces.

Five out of six was sufficient if humans couldn't touch them either. And two and a half usable now were more than enough to ensure this artifact shattered the final defense today, finally seizing the prize she had spent so many years waiting for.

♢♢♢♢

The artifact did not simply break Julius's colossal stone barricade.

It walked right through it…

The Qilin prince had poured the absolute last dregs of his soul into forging that wall, Victor helping by compressing the bedrock until its structural integrity rivaled solid steel. But against the Diamond-rank power of the biomechanical dragon, the stone simply dissolved into a fine, powdery dust.

Zhao's desperate warning cry from the sky was entirely swallowed by the deafening roar of displaced earth as the entity immediately burrowed into the subterranean crust.

Julius dropped to one knee, pressing his trembling palms flat against the soil. As a prince of the earth, he read the tectonic vibrations echoing through the deep dirt like an open scroll. A new, sickening chill bloomed in the pit of his stomach.

"It isn't heading for the castle," Julius rasped, his eyes widening in horror. "It is going for the central academy."

Absolutely no one on the frontline could stop it.

The exhausted Gold-rank infantry stationed nearby instinctively scrambled backward, parting like the sea. They were physically incapable of stepping within a hundred yards of a Diamond-tier aura without their lungs seizing and their knees buckling. The surviving defenders, most already hovering on the brink of complete collapse, possessed zero firepower capable of even scratching its scale armor.

The central academy in Yino sat just some miles away from the current bloodbath. It was not a random coordinate.

"It is going for the third ring," Julius declared, pushing himself up.
