Chapter 840: Getting Permission For Doggo

Amber was pouting at me when we met up for dinner and I told everyone about what happened.

"You had a plan like this and you didn’t even invite me?" She whined.

I chuckled, "Well... Unfortunately you are otherwise occupied at that time."

She pouted, "At least wait for me before you do that! I wanted to watch!"

Renata’s voice came from my chest, "Don’t worry! I recorded the entire thing!"

The other girls seemed particularly interested in the recording while I did my best to ignore that she even said there was one.

I decided to try and change the topic instead. More specifically, about what I discussed with Rosalia and Friederike. I hadn’t told them about the license yet because it does involve a certain license which I wasn’t sure if they were open for me to obtain.

Especially since it involved getting a particularly dangerous animal... Allegedly dangerous animal, of course.

Thus, I had been procrastinating on informing them about it.

"Ahem... I talked to Rosalia and Friederike as well..."

Mara turned to me, "Oh yes, you mentioned that you may have got them hooked on your honey, didn’t you?"

I grimaced, "I will have to say that I did not plan that and it was all purely accidental... But yes... They tasted it and they might want more as well..."

Lea nodded, "We will make a note of it, Mistress. Don’t worry about it."

I nodded, "They are referring me to a school that the company is working with to get their chefs so I should be able to get one through them. I don’t suppose any of you are familiar with the process or even what to expect from a school like that?"

Mara leaned on an elbow, "I always thought that they just sit in an Archive capsule or something and get the knowledge implanted in their heads directly."

Ries turned to me, "Hmm? Why don’t you just ask someone who has been there before, Boss?"

Oh yeah, good point. I actually have two chefs in my contact list that I could ask about that. I guess if I counted one who had dropped out, the number would be bumped up to three people who I could ask about this.

Just to check, I brought up my contacts to make sure I had remembered to register them on my list.

Deidre, Merina and Ragbar’s name all appeared on the list prominently.

Maybe I can even call all three of them to see what each of them had to say.

Although that’s for later because now I have to contend with the other issue...

I don’t know how to give it to them in such a way that it wouldn’t cause them to panic so... I decided to just rip the bandage off directly.

"The next thing I asked for... Was for a Bio-Weapon license..."

All of my girls looked normal for a moment, some of them simply giving me a confused look as though wondering why I would even want something like that.

Then, it was as if a light bulb had appeared above their heads, some of them immediately realised what that meant.

Amber also jumped in, "That’s right, Tera!! ARe you really sure about this?! There’s other creatures we could keep on our ship instead, you know? It doesn’t have to be that one!!"

Mara also surprisingly agreed, "I also urge you to reconsider this, Captain... We do not actually need one, do we?"

I scratched my head, "Well... Would it help if I told you girls that I really, really wanted one? Pretty please?"

The girls all recoiled back as though they had been physically struck.

Amber was the first to recover as she hugged my arm to her chest, "Tera!! You don’t need something so dangerous! We are enough, aren’t we?!"

"This and that are two different things..." I answered, trying to be as diplomatic as possible. "It’s a different case of having one of them and you girls."

Yumiko leaned against the table, "I’m basically the same as them, aren’t I, Mistress? In fact, I’m even better because you can fuck me! Right?"

"Oh. In that case, could your cousin help?" I asked.

Mara immediately shut her mouth and it took me a moment to realise that I most likely found the one person in my contact list that could help me get a dog easily after I get my license.

I cleared my throat, "You girls don’t need to worry, ok? If I do end up getting one, I’ll take good care of it. You girls won’t even need to go near it."

Lea gave me a look, "Mistress... It’s like saying that you have to live in a ship with a creature that could just rip out your throat whenever it wants and the only thing that’s stopping it from doing so is whether it feels like it..."

Mara tapped on the side of her cheek thoughtfully, "And we could even explain away any Psionic kills she does with the dogs... It would help us hide it better too..."

Lea steepled her fingers in front of her, "Best of all... She could just have the dog accompany her when walking through dangerous places and still be safe..."
