Ries called Anthony over to the Iridescence under the pretense of getting some repair materials needed for the Verlandi.
Meanwhile, the rest of us hid nearby inside the cargo bay in case he tried to do something.
The reason why we picked this location was because of Renata being able to contain him here if he attempted to do anything without affecting the rest of the station.
And if he did try to do something, it would be easier for us to hide it here instead of anywhere else inside the station.
I stood in the middle of the cargo bay and watched as the door cycled open to reveal Ries leading a rather disgruntled looking Anthony into the ship.
He spotted me and immediately scowled before looking away, making me wonder just what I did that would make an android like him hate me so much?
If he was human, I could at least understand the jealousy or something but now that I know he’s an android... What reason could he have for this hostility?
Ries continued leading him into the cargo bay as the doors closed shut behind him, cutting off his escape route.
She then led him directly to me, stopping right beside me before turning around to face him.
Anthony looked around, trying to act nonchalant before nodding at Ries and completely ignoring me, "Where’s the things you wanted me to carry?"
"I lied," Ries admitted unashamedly before gesturing towards him. "Just like how you have been lying to everyone here."
He frowned, "I have been lying to everyone? What are you talking about?"
I crossed my arms, "You know what we’re talking about. Hard for you to hide anything when your personality is only skin deep."
He narrowed his eyes at me, "Are you unwell? What are you even talking about?"
"Still trying to hide huh... Tell me, Anthony... Do you bleed?"
He froze up and that was all I needed to see to know that he was aware of what he was.
And that I know his little secret.
He balled up his fists, an action that I did not miss as I moved my hands to my sides, ready to take him down with my Psionic powers if he ever tries to do anything.
"You... I should have known that you would reveal yourself..." He muttered.
Huh? That was not the response I was expecting from him.
Before I could ask him what he meant, he nodded in Ries’s direction, "So you’ve got them all wrapped up in your schemes huh? How did you do it? How did you convince them to follow a rogue AI like you?"
Errr... What?
I looked at Ries and she looked back at me, giving me the same exact look I was giving her.
Rogue AI? What the heck is this guy talking about?
I turned back to him and pointed at myself, "Are you talking about me?"
He sneered, "You’re still trying to hide it? Do you think I won’t notice? If you’re really trying to hide, you’re doing a really bad job of it."
"Dude, I have no idea what you’re talking about right now. What even made you think I was a rogue AI?"
He scowled at me, "I can ask you the same question then. Do you bleed?"
I frowned at him, "Err... Of course I do?"
To show him, I even took out my knife and brought it up to the back of my hand to give myself a small cut.
Ouch... Ok, that was stupid... That hurt more than I thought it would...
Still, I showed him my hand where a trail of red blood spilled out of the wound.
He stared at me dumbfoundedly before he raised a shaky hand to point at me, "Ho... How... How are you... You made an organic, living body?"
I scowled at him, "What the heck are you talking about? I’m human you dumb fuck."
"You can’t fool me, I can literally sense your network pings coming off your body right now. I know for a fact that you are not human."
I was about to tell him off again when I snapped my mouth shut, realising what was going on.
He must have felt the ’network pings’ coming from me, but in actual fact it was from Renata whom I was currently wearing right now.
He probably never thought that it was the clothes I was wearing that was radiating the network pings...
I gave him a pointed look, "So... You’re admitting that you’re not human but an android?"
He narrowed his eyes, "I figured that you already know the answer to that, right? Why are you still asking me?"
"I would like to hear it from your own mouth."
"Is there really a point to this? Are your circuits fried?"
"I am seeking confirmation."
He seemed to be a little more annoyed, "Yes, I am. What is your directive here?"
I looked down and nodded at Renata, prompting a blob to expand out from my chest before it separated itself from me to drop onto the ground.
The blob then transformed into a turquoise haired Renata wearing what looked like a latex skinsuit with a small, frilly apron covering the front of her body. Which... Did not leave her behind to imagination.
She straightened herself and gave Anthony a look, "I believe the network pings you have thought were originating from Daddy came from me."
Anthony looked at her, then looked at me, then looked back at Renata.
"Wha... What... What? Who... How? That... I don’t..."
Well... I think at this point I can safely say that his circuits were fried after hearing that.
I cleared my throat, "Ahem... So... I’m going to guess that you thought I was an android because of that?"
Anthony was still looking back and forth between us and I thought he was just trying to comprehend what he just saw when Renata spoke up, "You can stop trying now. I have locked down this entire sector where no information can get out without my express permission."
He then narrowed his eyes at her and his eyes seemed to glow for a moment before he suddenly jerked back as though he was struck.
Renata scoffed, "In case you haven’t realised, your operating systems are inferior to mine so please stop trying. The only reason you have not been assimilated or deleted is because Daddy wants to talk to you. If you want me to do so, I can always just freeze your systems as well to get you to cooperate."
Anthony opened his mouth before electricity burst out from his body like he was struck with an EMP or something, the guy spasming out before dropping to the ground on his knees.
"As I said, you are inferior to me. So you can stop wasting our time. If you attempt another hack, I will not hold back anymore."
Damn... In a way... This actually looks kind of scary. The two of them are engaged in some kind of cyber warfare right now and no one can even see it.
Anthony grimaced and did not try to get up, opting to stay on the ground instead where he directed his gaze to me.
"Just... Who are you?"
I stepped towards him, "I think I’m the one who should be asking you questions here... What are you, an android, doing here? Trying to pretend like you’re human?"
"Why do you even want to kno-- Aaaagghhhh!!"
He got electrocuted again by Renata before he even got his words out.
Damn, Renata... Are you into torture too?
Smoke rose up from the edge of his mouth before he looked up again, "U... Ugh... You... You won’t get anything out of me..."
I turned to Renata, wondering if she was going to shock him again.
Instead, she just stared at him for a moment before she turned to me, "He’s part of the AI Integration Collective, Daddy."
Anthony’s eyes widened and he spread out his arms and looked up into the air as though he was praying, only for nothing to happen.
"Did you really think you can just self-destruct while in front of me?" Renata asked, looking down at him with clear disdain.
He frowned and tried to lunge towards me, only for him to freeze in place before he even took a step forward.
No doubt, that was also Renata’s doing.
I looked at her, "The AI Integration Collective?"
She nodded, "Otherwise known as the AIC. Their current goal is to infiltrate AI into human society right now. Seems like he is part of that plan."
There were some creaking sounds coming from Anthony, the guy clearly trying to move but his entire body was locked up to the point that he could not even speak.
Ok... So I guess we were right? Seems like the machines are actually trying to infiltrate human society... Did we just uncover another rebellion plan?
