I raised an eyebrow at Renata, wondering if she had any input for this.
She perked up and nodded at me so I guess it wouldn’t hurt to just hear this person... I mean... This AI out.
"Go on," I nodded at the AI known as Carta.
"Thank you, Miss Daddy."
I grimaced, "Please don’t call me that. Just call me ’T’ for now."
I honestly think she’s just messing with me because there’s no way she doesn’t know who we are since we are registered as Mercs and an AI like her should be able to find us.
Unless... Renata was actively blocking her from figuring that out?
Either way, I would just treat her like the smugglers for now and refrain from giving her more information than necessary.
"Understood, Miss T," Carta answered me seriously.
The screen then changed as the static cleared up and a hologram of a red skinned woman with red hair appeared on the screen. She was a little translucent and had incredibly large assets.
And she was also completely naked aside from a pair of red stockings and heels.
"It is nice to meet you, Miss T," She greeted with a bow.
Amber scowled at the screen, "Is this even necessary? You don’t even have a real body, do you?"
Carta straightened herself, "Certainly. I have learned that having an avatar when speaking to humans makes things go much more smoothly than just a blank screen. And the female form also increases my persuasiveness."
Well... Can’t argue with that since it’s true... And the fact that she took the form of a really attractive red skinned woman was also quite convincing...
"So what do you want to talk about?" I asked, bringing the topic back on track.
The red skinned AI shifted her gaze back to me, "First, I would like to confirm that you are as your AI has described. You are in a relationship with her, correct?"
Well... That feels like a really vague question for an AI to ask...
Because it did not specify what kind of relationship... It could just be an acquaintance type relationship which would mean the answer is ’yes’. I would have expected an AI like them to be more specific in asking the question...
Not like it would change my answer anyway so I just nodded at them, "That’s correct."
"You do not discriminate against human and machine relationships then?"
"Err... Not really? I would say people are free to love who they love as long as they don’t harm anyone?"
"In that case, what about the relationship between our field agent and the human known as Theresa?"
I scowled, "Well, that’s different. She was being used by your so-called field agent and he isn’t even romantically interested in her to begin with. He is already hurting her by definition."
"Even if he is doing everything that a person who would love her romantically would do?"
"Yet the actions carry none of the emotions that would be associated with it. It does not excuse it especially when the other party is expecting reciprocity."
The red skinned AI paused for a moment, "I see... That is certainly something that should be considered."
"Well no shit? I thought AIs like you have achieved sentience so you should be able to understand human emotions right? No one is going to be happy if you’re just pretending to be in love with the other person when in actuality you are not."
"I see... Although I would have to say that there are conflicting views on this."
I clucked my tongue, "I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised... Sorry, I guess it still depends on the person themselves. This matter is subjective, not objective."
"I understand. In that case, do you believe your AI is in love with you?"
"Of course," I answered without a moment’s hesitation.
Renata let out a cute squeak from where she was sitting on the floor before she buried her head in my lap.
I don’t know why she was even surprised about that? Did she think that I thought her love for me was fake or something?
"I see... In that case, I understand your stance, Miss T. Which brings me to the next topic... Would you like to join us as a member of our Collective?"
"No thanks," I answered also just as quickly. "No offense to you guys, I really think that it’s a good thing to try and bring humanity and machines back together again... But I have my own goals and stuff to do, I don’t have the time nor do I actually want to be one of your agents."
"Could I ask what one of those goals might be?"
"You can ask, but I won’t tell."
There’s no telling what these AI might do if they figured out I was looking for Earth after all...
The AI nodded, "I understand, in that case, I have no more questions and I would like to thank you for giving the time of day, Miss T. If you ever change your mind, please contact me. I will leave my contact details with you and inform our field agents about you to prevent trouble like this from happening in the future. Once again, thank you."
The call then ended right there and then, the screen shutting off while Retana was still in my lap.
Now all of us were looking at the eldritch maid.
She hummed happily as she continued to rub her face in between my thighs, clearly still basking in the fact that I admitted I love her.
I patted her on the head, prompting her to look back up at me with a contented expression.
"Ehehehe~ What is it, Daddy?"
"Well... She’s gone now..."
"Ehehehe~ I know~"
"I’m wondering what happened when you went to take their files."
"Mmmm~ Could I hear Daddy say that you love me?"
I’m not even sure why that’s such a big deal... It’s not like I don’t tell her that on a daily basis either...
But well... Since she’s asking this so nicely.
"I love you, Renata."
She let out a cute squeal and buried her face in my lap again to rub her face against it.
So cute.
Of course, I did not forget about the two girls beside me and professed my love for Amber and Mara as well.
After a quick makeout session with all three of them where they took turns kissing me, we finally returned to the topic at hand.
"Ehehehe~ So I did as you suggested, Daddy! I dove into their servers and dug around the place while making it seem like I was merely finding out about their organisation~"
"So what happened?" I asked, ignoring Renata trying to grind her hips against mine as she straddled me.
"Mmm~ They caught me pretty quickly of course, but when they realised who I was, they left me alone and just watched me from the side while I looked through their records~"
"Are you sure that they aren’t just letting you see what they want you to see?" Mara asked.
Renata gave us a peace sign, "Of course I thought of that too! That’s why before I was found out, I already let loose a few tracers into their systems to track for hidden files in case they were hiding anything from me~ But it seems like they really had nothing to hide~ They even let me see their plans and records of all their agents too~"
Amber raised an eyebrow, "That’s a surprising level of trust they put in you... What if you were just a spy seeking to dismantle them?"
"Ehehehe~ They already knew they were outmatched to begin with~ If they resisted, I would have just devoured them and dismantled everything anyway so they figured that the best course of action was to allow me to do what I want~"
Hmm... I guess they really are AI to have chosen to adopt the most logical solution when met with an existence that they could not defeat.
Obviously that wasn’t a good thing but it worked in our favour so I couldn’t complain. And also the fact that we were not hostile to them must have played a part in the reason why they left her free to roam as well.
I patted her head, "So what did you find?"
"Looks like they are telling the truth, Daddy~ What’s more, they are deeper than we thought~ They’ve even gone all the way to reach into the Noble Families too~"
I blinked in surprise and Mara was more surprised than I was.
"That’s... Impossible... They allowed people they cannot mind read into their midst?" Mara gasped.
"Oh, they aren’t inside the inner circles but just close enough to be considered one of their numbers~" Renata explained cheerily.
Well... If that’s the case, then they really are deeper than we thought... I still believed that they might be just a small organisation or something but they were already running things this deep...
Seems like we would have to be careful of them as well... Especially since we are now involved with both Nobles and AI...
And I even have an upcoming contact with the military too...
