Chapter 852: Police?

Our ship finished its jump to the system where the Pleasure Station was located, though it would still take a while before we reached the Pleasure Station itself as it was quite a distance away from the Warp Gate.

"Umm... Daddy?" Renata called out.

I looked up from where I sat at the Captain’s chair, "What is it, Renata?"

"We are being hailed."

I frowned, "By who?"

"Mmm... Scans are showing that they are the local police of this station, Daddy."

I shifted my gaze to the space outside the cockpit and sure enough, there was a group of patrol ships that were hovering in front of our ship.

"Must be an inspection or something... Patch them through."

Renata obeyed and a screen popped up in front of me showing a middle aged man wearing a sleek looking uniform and looking at me with a rather stern face.

His eyes flickered to the side for a moment, probably looking at the result of his scan of my ship before looking back at me.

"Captain Tera?" He asked.

I nodded, "That’s right. Is there a problem?"

"According to the rules set forth by the administrator of this system, your ship has been chosen to be subjected for a random on board inspection. Please comply."

I frowned, "I thought a normal scan will suffice? Are you asking to board my ship?"

"That is the rule for this system for all ships passing through. Please cooperate with us and we will ensure the process is smooth."

I shrugged, "We have nothing to hide anyway, sure thing."

I brought up my console and powered down my engines and lowered the shields, indicating my desire to cooperate.

The call ended and the ships outside started moving into position in preparation to dock with me.

I was just about to relax believing that they wouldn’t find anything problematic since we’ve already given all our illegal stuff to Clement to sell so they would not find anything.

That was until Renata turned back to me, "Daddy? Are you sure this is alright?"

I raised an eyebrow, "What do you mean? We don’t have anything problematic for them to find right? All our illegal stuff was given to Clement to sell."

"Daddy... We do have one thing that is very illegal in our cargo hold..." Renata reminded.

I frowned, wondering just what she might be talking about.

Then I remembered the very creature that we were supposed to be smuggling and was most definitely illegal to have.

Shit... How the heck do you hide a giant turtle the size of a car?

I quickly sent out a message to all of my girls, informing them about the upcoming inspection and for them to prepare themselves.

I also made sure to ask in the chat how possible it was to hide a car sized turtle before the inspection personnel arrives.

Unexpectedly, it was Renata who answered me despite her being here the entire time.

"Hmmm? Does Daddy want to hide that thing? I can do it for you~"

I looked down at my chest where her voice had come from, "You can? How?"

"Ehehehe~ Just leave it to me, Daddy! Mmm... There! All done!"

I blinked, "Done? You already hid it?"

"Ehehehe~ That’s right, Daddy! Easy peasy!"

I wondered what she did before I stepped into the cargo bay, only to realise that the corner the turtle was supposed to be sitting at was now empty.

In its place was a very proud looking Renata with green hair who was showing me a peace sign.

I sucked in a breath, "Did you... Eat it?"

"Ehehehe~ That’s right, Daddy! Oh, don’t worry, it’s still alive inside here! I didn’t absorb it, I just put it in a different space~" She giggled, patting her belly.

Ok... That actually scared me for a moment... Because if she really did eat the turtle, our trip here would have been wasted...

Renata then turned her head towards the docking bay, "Ah~ Looks like they are here, Daddy~ Should we go greet them?"

Right now it was just Renata and I since the girls were... Well... Not in a state to greet outsiders.

Namely, they were still undressed... We’ve basically reached the point where they have decided that walking around with the bare minimum amount of clothes was more convenient since that meant I could just take them whenever I wanted.

They had not reached Lea’s level of nudity yet as they at least still wear some clothes to cover themselves even if it’s just a jacket thrown over their shoulders... But all of their clothes could be shed in a matter of moments to jump on me if they wanted to.

That’s why they were now scrambling back to their rooms to dress themselves so they won’t be exposing themselves to these people.

Also... Just saying... I wasn’t any better because I had also opted to also wear clothes with more... Exposure levels.

The only difference was that I could change mine instantly unlike them.

I walked over to the doors right as they cycled open, revealing a few people stepping into my ship, all of them wearing security armour with covered helmets and armed to the teeth.

They even brought in a few guys who were wearing Power Armour as well, making me wonder if it was really necessary for them to bring this much firepower just for a simple inspection.

The one leading the group stepped up to me, his face hidden by the helmet.

"Captain Tera?" He asked.

"That’s me."

"You are under arrest."

What?!

The security personnel fanned out and pointed their guns at me.

"Please do not make any sudden movements, or we will not be able to guarantee your life."

I slowly raised my hands in surrender, showing them that I was not a threat, "Hold on... What did I even do? What crime did I commit for me to be arrested?"

"You have been found to be in possession of items classified as illegal in this sector. Surrender now and you will be afforded leniency. Resist and we will resort to deadly force."

I blinked at them, "Wait... What items? I don’t have anything? I’m not even transporting anything right now?"

To emphasise my point, I even gestured to the mostly empty cargo bay behind me where the only things that were still left around were some materials and supplies that we’ve looted from pirates and insurgents but those were definitely legal.

So I have no idea what they were talking about when they claimed that I was in possession of illegal items.

In fact, who even told them about this? Because now it doesn’t seem like a random search but a targeted one instead.

The helmeted guy turned to the people behind him, "Search the ship."

They spread out and started combing through the place with a few of them remaining behind to watch me with their guns raised up.

I don’t really mind them searching my ship since I really didn’t have anything so I didn’t stop them.

"Is there anyone else on board?" The guy asked.

"Yeah... My crew..."

"Call them all here."

"Umm... Including the androids?" I asked, nodding at Renata who was standing behind me.

The guy stared at her for a moment and I wasn’t sure whether he was scanning her or eyeing her with lust but I believe it’s the former because he turned back to me soon after.

"There’s more than one?"

"Err... Yeah... A few of them..."

"Call everyone here including the androids."

I turned to Renata, "Could you let everyone know to gather here? And have all of your... Other selves gather here as well?"

She was acting the part of being a maid android so she answered in a monotonous voice, "Yes, Daddy."

If these guys were surprised to hear her call me that, they did not show it.

I remained where I was while the investigators searched through my mostly empty cargo bay.

My girls entered the cargo bay together and the security personnel that were gathered near the door immediately detained them and brought them over to me.

Amber gave me a confused look, "What’s going on, Tera?"

"I don’t know... They said that I possess something illegal so I’m being arrested... Now they’re searching my ship..."

"They’re... Arresting you even though they haven’t found any evidence of what they are accusing you of?" She asked.

I could only shrug in response.

They searched through the rest of my ship and we had to stand there while being watched for another hour or so before one of the security personnel finally returned and went over to talk to the guy who had accused me of the crime.

I wasn’t able to hear what they were saying since they must be using their own comms to talk internally and they seemed to have come to a consensus as the guy walked over to me.

"Captain Tera. You and your crew will be placed under arrest. Please do not resist."

What the heck?!! Did you guys even find anything?!!
