What Do You Mean I'm The Captain Of A Yandere Mercenary Company?

Chapter 975: You Sure You Want Me To Stay Over?

Chapter 975: You Sure You Want Me To Stay Over?

I don’t really know what those three were discussing in the office and something tells me that it’s best for me not to know so I didn’t ask either.

It got pretty late after that so we retired for the night for now as I also need to deal with my girls who were still blissed out after eating my food and drinking all that alcohol.

I thought about staying in one of the hotels in the city but... Because there were so many people here thanks to the bug extermination hustle, most of the hotels and inns were basically booked and filled up.

It got to the point that I was seeing Mercs just sleeping in the streets like they were part of the homeless in this station, since they didn’t want to waste time taking a boarding ship back to their ships that were orbiting the station.

I guess Nerissa would also need to stay in our ship while we’re here but I doubt she would have anything to complain about since we have such great amenities.

As for us... I was also prepared to just go back to our ship and sleep there but apparently both Valiea and Ragbar did not think that was acceptable.

"What?! You’re already here so just stay on the station! We have rooms back in our place! Just stay with us!" Ragbar chuckled heartily.

I looked back at my group of girls before turning back to them.

"You’re ok with nine more occupants in your house? Do you guys live in a big mansion or something?"

Valiea chuckled at me, "Oh Tera, we have been doing quite well for ourselves. And to be honest... The real estate prices in a station in a place as far as this corner of the Outer Colony space is actually pretty cheap compared to our previous station. So we can actually get ourselves a pretty decent place~ Besides, the night is still young isn’t it? There’s still so much I want to talk about with you! I insist!"

Well... I guess if they insist... I do want to talk to them as well so might as well, I guess?

Ragbar noticed something, however.

He pointed his finger and counted us off before turning to raise an eyebrow at me, "There’s only eight of you, Tera. Are you missing someone?"

Ah, they still haven’t met her.

And no, I’m not talking about Nerissa since I believe she would find it incredibly awkward if I take her along with us here.

I grinned at them, "Oh, she’s outside the club right now actually."

Ragbar gasped at me, "Why are they outside?! Did the bouncers keep them outside?! You should have told me! Which staff made them stay outside?! Was that why you were setting aside some of the food you made earlier?!"

Oh whoops... He actually thought that his staff stopped one of my crew members from stepping inside the club. I’m guessing that they also explicitly told the staff to let my girls in earlier, which was how they managed to come in despite the fact that I wasn’t there to vouch for them.

I think he’s even ready to give whoever made my crewmate to stay outside a harsh scolding at this point.

Also... I’m surprised he even noticed I was keeping some of the food I made in some boxes. One of them was actually for Nerissa since I doubt she would want to eat anything within the station... Which I would have Renata deliver back to the ship for her later.

The other was, of course, for my cute little Freyja~ Hehehe~

I waved at him, "Oh no, no... She just doesn’t like loud places so she was waiting outside for us."

Ragbar seemed to relax after hearing that, "Oh good... For a moment I thought I have to fire someone today. I think you can let them in at this point, right? And yes, our place is big enough for all of you."

Oh come on... It’s not that serious for someone to get fired over...

Hmm... Actually... If I heard one of the bouncers specifically stopped one of my girls from entering the club... I might actually beat them up so I guess it actually is pretty serious if I think about it...

But before that... I guess I need to ask them a very important question...

I cleared my throat, "Ahem... Valiea... Ragbar? I have a very important question to ask you two..."

The two of them turned to look at me questioningly, wondering what could be so important.

"Err... What do you think about dogs?"

Valiea’s face paled while Ragbar sucked in a breath.

"D... D... Dogs?" Valiea gasped, her body shivering slightly. "Do you mean those really scary creatures that could kill anything on sight?"

Ragbar grimaced, "Are you planning to get one, Tera? I know you’re a Merc and all so having that big firepower is definitely something you would want... But I personally think that the risk is not worth the reward... In my time within the Inner Colonies, I’ve heard stories being told about people who own dogs ending up getting their entire group killed because of the dog being out of control..."

Hmph... I bet the dog killed them because they were mistreating it and the dog finally lost its patience with them and got rid of them. Good riddance I say.

Anyway... I can see they are definitely afraid of dogs so... I guess I might as well bring Freyja here and see what they think. If they feel uncomfortable having Freyja around, I’ll bring her back to the ship first.

They’re our hosts here so I will abide by their rules. I’m not that selfish to impose on them especially since they have been so nice to us all this while.

Sure... I guess I also helped them gain a lot of customers from my performance and drinks mixing with them but that’s beside the point.

I told the two of them that I would go get her and stepped outside the club to the entrance hall.

The counter had the same girl I met earlier who was doing her closing after having enjoyed the dinner I prepared with the others in the club just now.

She straightened and shot me a bright smile when she saw me, clearly happy to see me after I had fed her all the food earlier.

"Ah! Miss Tera! Thank you for earlier! I have to say that it’s the best thing I have ever tasted in my entire life! I will never forget this!"

I smiled at her in return, "Don’t mention it. I have to thank you all for putting up with me and my girls tonight. Umm... I have to take my dog though."

Her face immediately fell the moment I mentioned my dog while pointing at the door where she was at, the girl’s previous jovial attitude now nowhere to be found.

She shuddered visibly, "Ye... Yes... Of course... Umm... Right... Right this way..."

I offered no comments to her reaction as she guided me towards the door and unlocked it for me, allowing me to step inside.

Freyja was right where I left her, my doggo perking up when she saw me enter the room.

"There you are~ Were you a good girl?" I cooed.

Her tail wagged and she gave a happy bark at me in response.

I slapped my thighs and reached out my hands to her, "Come here, girl!"

She immediately bounded towards me, the staff letting out a distressed moan as she took a few steps back, probably convinced that the dog was going to pounce on me and rip me to shreds or something.

Well, that obviously didn’t happen as she ran up to jump up at me, giving my face a few licks while I gave her scratches on her head and sides.

"Who’s a good girl? Who’s a good girl? You are!" I chuckled.

"Woof! Woof!"

Aaaahhhh~ So cuuuuute~

Ahem...

I’ll just leave my weapons here for now since my girls would have to come back here to pick them up later anyway... I’m just bringing Freyja along to make sure that Valiea and Ragbar were ok with having a dog in their home.

I then led Freyja past the shivering staff member, the girl not even saying anything as I took her towards the main doors of the club.

Walking in, I found Valiea and Ragbar in the midst of talking to my girls, probably telling them the plan to have all of us stay at their place tonight.

They noticed me as I got closer and they turned, their faces lit with bright smiles before freezing up when they saw Freyja plodding along beside me.

I didn’t even get to reach them before Ragbar’s eyes rolled to the back of her head and fell backwards, only for Valiea to catch him with her two left arms though it was more out of instinct than anything else since she had also frozen up in fear.

I stopped in front of her and that was when I realised she had actually fainted while standing up and supporting her husband.

Shit girl... You’re pretty badass... But err... I guess Freyja at their house is a no go?
