Winter Swan

Chapter 6

Chapter 6: <Chapter 5>

After school, Silje was dragged to the storage room by Kail’s gang. It was snowing very hard and as she watched the weather outside, Silje tried to convince herself.

‘It’s all ok. I can do this. I can survive this.’

Of course, she knew something bad was going to happen today, but she had to believe that she was going to come out of it alive or else her fear of Kail was going to swallow her whole.

If she didn’t keep her head straight, she was really going to be eaten alive today. She took a deep breath to calm down.

She waited and waited. The storage room for gym equipment was filled with dust and dirt. It was a wintery day and it was cold even inside the storage. Silje noticed a black leather chair the gym teacher usually sat on during gym classes. Silje looked around and thought in frustration.

‘They dragged me here by force, and they are making me wait? I’ll show you. I am going to leave this place alive.’

Silje gritted her teeth. Shivering in the cold and dark storage, she was determined to survive this.

Kail showed up very late and he had the school’s most beautiful girl in his arms.

Brigit the cheerleader was in a white fur coat.

Brigit clung to Kail as they walked toward the leather chair together. Against the white fur coat beauty, Kail looked like a cruel devil with his black fur coat.

What shocked Silje the most was the fact that there was a cast on Kail’s left arm. She knew it must have been from catching her yesterday. Silje felt a sudden fear.

It made sense. No one could be fine after catching someone falling from a three-story building.

This was bad. Very bad. He was never going to leave her alone.

The devil was coming to get her.

Silje tried to breathe slowly in an attempt to free herself from fear and anxiety. She put on her usual blank face and repeated inside her head, ‘It’s going to be ok. Just do what you always have done. You will be ok. It’s all going to be fine.’

Just then, a seductive voice announced, “Kail, I got a new tattoo right here. What do you think? Do you like it?”

Brigit took off her white fur coat and her top as well. She only left her red bra on to show a black butterfly tattoo on her cleavage.

Guys whistled.

“Brigit! You are so hot! Bravo!”

What the hell was this? Silje became speechless at what was happening in front of her. Brigit was obviously trying to seduce him. What confused Silje was Kail’s reaction.

He was cold and quiet. Beautiful Brigit was doing her best to seduce him, but the king seemed bored. He didn’t even blink and continued to drink his beer.

His cold stare was so mesmerizing that Silje couldn’t stop looking at him. Kail was quieter than she expected, but he still looked menacing.

Silje was so focused on Kail that she was unprepared when someone kicked her.

“Gya!”

She crouched instinctively while Kail’s posse tormented her.

“You embarrassed me in front of everyone, b*tch. You are going to regret it!”

It was Gunhild.

She was angry because of what Silje said to her yesterday in public, and it looked like she was determined to kill her.

Silje screamed after the first kick out of shock, but when she realized it was Gunhild, she put on her calm face again. Silje knew this was going to happen when she was dragged into this storage.

Gunhild screamed, “You crazy b*tch! I am going to end you today.”

Silje was ready. She did her best to avoid Gunhild’s punches and kicks, making her even angrier.

“What the hell!”

Silje couldn’t avoid all the attacks. Her face hurt from being punched in the cheeks, but she didn’t panic. Instead, Silje threw her shoes at Gunhild. She missed the first time, but her second shoe got her.

Smack.

It hit her right in the face and Gunhild’s face crumpled.

Silence fell. Gunhild and her friends became pale.

In the freezing icy silence, Kail turned around slowly. He pushed away the sexy Brigit and looked at Silje coldly.

“Huff, huff.”

Silje was breathless after fighting for her life. She could see that everyone was glaring at her angrily, but she didn’t regret it. Silje knew she was going to be attacked, so she felt good that she at least was able to get Gunhild with her shoe.

She was going to do her best so they wouldn’t get in her way.

“B*tch! Stay still!”

Gunhild held Silje’s shoe and tried to catch her, but Silje roamed around the small storage room to avoid her.

Silje knew she wouldn’t be able to win against Gunhild by force, but she knew she was very fast and good at running away. She had to avoid Gunhild as long as possible.

Gunhild clenched her teeth in fury.

“Dammit! When I catch you, I’m going to kill you.”

Silje was able to escape Gunhild’s grasp for a surprisingly long time when suddenly, a burst of low laughter rang out.

Who was that?

When she instinctively turned to the sound, it was the cruel king of the school. Kail was looking at her and laughing out loud.

“Ha! Haha!”

He looked like he was having a lot of fun and Silje couldn’t believe what she saw.

But it was really happening. Kail was looking at her and laughing. He seemed like he couldn’t take his eyes off of her, and Brigit became annoyed.

“What the heck, Kail! Look at me! Stop paying attention to that stupid girl. Look at me!”

However, Kail didn’t even turn to her. Instead, he stood up and ordered Brigit, “Get out.”

Brigit was shocked, but she walked out quietly.

The others nervously approached Kail after the cheerleader left and when he seemed to be in a good mood, they started to chat nervously.

“Brigit is so hot! I’ll bet she is awesome in bed.”

“She got such a hot body, Kail. What do you think?”

Kail crossed his arms and glanced at his gang in annoyance. He looked at them like they were bugs.

Silje realized that something changed. The cruel king looked different than when she saw him yesterday in the daylight. Inside this dimly lit storage, Kail remained motionless. Did he not shave today? His chin seemed darker and it looked like he had a stubble.

Kail looked gorgeous but dangerous.

Silje guessed that Kail’s chilly stare he gave her yesterday was what he did whenever someone annoyed him. Like a beast, anyone who invaded his personal territory was punished. Silje understood.

The violent cases that involved Kail at school all started because of those who challenged Kail. Kail and his group prowled the schoolyard like a pack of wolves and anyone who got in their way was eliminated. Nobody got away with disturbing the king.

This was why Silje was nervous. She was brought to Kail after yesterday’s incident. He wasn’t saying much, but his presence was still intimidating.

Surrounded by the noisy group, Kail looked at her coldly and said to her, “You. Asian girl. Just stop now.”

Silje felt her heart fall. Kail was talking to her and it sounded like he just ordered her execution. She started to sweat.
