Chapter 1178: 400: Crystalization 2

Chapter 1178: Chapter 400: Crystalization 2

Crying out in my heart, is this the destruction humans can cause?

Even if it’s the lords from the Imperial City, this is too exaggerated.

“Lord Rein, although I’ve long heard of your fame, I find the rumors have underestimated your battle prowess!” Dick bowed deeply to Rein, eyes full of deep admiration.

“Sir Dick, I also thank you and your companions for your bravery and fearlessness.” Rein said with a smile.

Meanwhile.

The Shirendil Plateau, in the underground depths of the Tutkash School’s base.

Just as Rein was destroying the avatar of the Evil God Nael Breccan, Graham suddenly felt a tremor in his mind, as if foretelling that something bad had happened.

Soon after, his expression changed dramatically.

For as a Fourth Level Dawn Wizard, he was already able to intermittently hear the distant Divine Whisper:

“….bastard….kill him….”

Although the words of the Spider God were intermittent and not very clear, the anger in the words was evident.

Graham quickly realized that the avatar of their Spider God had encountered trouble.

“How could this be? It actually failed?”

“If Staven’s mission failed, that might be possible, but the avatar of my master clearly descended successfully before!”

The tall figure of Graham paced back and forth in the underground hall, his four pairs of sharp limbs scraping the ground with a hissing sound, but after thinking for a long time, he still couldn’t figure out why.

“Could it be that my master’s avatar was defeated right after descending?”

“But even as the Imperial Guardian, it’s not certain that they could crush my master’s descending avatar, right?”

“With Staven as the vessel, the power of my master’s avatar must have reached the epic level.”

“To take a step back, even if there happened to be an Imperial Guardian nearby, if they couldn’t win, at least retreating should be assured.”

“But from the angry tone of my master just now, the avatar must have been completely obliterated…”

“This…”

Graham furrowed his brow tightly!

Sword Blade Volcano, at the foot of the mountain.

Witnessing that Lord Rein, also a Sword Bearer, possessed such strong battle prowess to slay a descending avatar of an Evil God, Dick and other Sword Bearers in Moselle Province felt honored. After some rest, they enthusiastically headed towards Sword Blade Volcano.

Soon, the group reached the crater of Sword Blade Volcano, a scorching wave hitting them in the face, mixed with a pungent smell of sulfur compounds.

Peering from the crater to the bottom of the volcano, they saw dark red magma slowly writhing like cracked earth, but after repeated scans by so many people, they didn’t find any trace of the Molten Fire Dragon.

“Huh? Last time, before we even reached the entrance, that Molten Fire Dragon sensed our presence and immediately rushed out.”

“Why this time…..”

Many of the guards began to whisper among themselves.

“Lord Rein, I think this Molten Fire Dragon might have been scared by you and is hiding in the Molten Lava Lake, too afraid to come out.” Dick thought for a moment and then stated a guess he believed to be closest to the truth.

For a creature like a Molten Fire Dragon, territory is most important, and they had just strutted up with no response from the other side.

This obviously made no sense.

So, after serious thought, Dick came to this… rare, but the only reasonable conclusion – “A fire dragon was scared into hiding!”

At over forty years in age, Dick had executed at least hundreds of missions, big and small, in the Moselle Sword Bearers Branch, and it was the first time he saw something so outrageous.

Hearing Dick’s words, everyone couldn’t help but look at each other in astonishment!

Although they felt Dick’s theory was a bit exaggerated, it seemed… quite logical.

And when Claire heard Dick’s words, she was momentarily stunned, her beautiful eyes blinking a few times, thinking that this was the first time she’d heard of something so absurd.

However, when she quickly glanced at their captain, she found Rein frowning slightly, seemingly regretful about not completing the Molten Fire Dragon task.

After thinking for a while, Claire said: “Captain, why don’t I use the Flame Eye to check?”

“Flame Eye? It’s worth a try.” Rein’s eyes brightened slightly, and he nodded immediately.

He’d heard of the Flame Eye, a First Level Fire Element Witchcraft, which seemingly could condense into an eye composed of flame elements, the size of a fist, to scout the enemy.

As Claire muttered the spell, a few seconds later, a somewhat unusual semi-transparent fireball appeared in mid-air in front of her, floating up and down.

Claire’s pale fingers pointed, and the Flame Eye rapidly descended towards the Molten Lava Lake below.

A few minutes later, Claire wiped the fine beads of sweat from her pale forehead, seemingly ceasing her casting, with an apologetic face she said:

“Captain, I’m sorry, I couldn’t find it. The creature is likely hiding deep in the Magma Lake.”

Rein nodded, saying: “It’s okay.”

He understood, although the crater seemed small, the area below was quite spacious.

The Molten Lava Lake at the bottom of Sword Blade Volcano was as large as a real lake. Especially the depth of the Molten Lava Lake must be incredibly deep, and additionally, there might be winding underground paths at the bottom.

To search for a Molten Fire Dragon deliberately hiding in such a Molten Lava Lake was naturally extremely difficult.

Rein had considered sending Blood Feather to search.

But his Blood Feathered Horned Eagle, although a fierce species, could fly over magma for a short time without issue, yet long searches in the Molten Lava Lake wouldn’t be practical.
