Wizard: Stronger through Marriage

Chapter 1333 - 622: Prophecy

Chapter 1333: Chapter 622: Prophecy

Human, Elf, Dwarf, and other race soldiers gathered to discuss the latest intelligence, their emotions high, but each face lined with exhaustion and heaviness.

In one corner, High Tier Warlock Knight Hill drew his sword and stood, his brow furrowed as he gazed up at the most brilliant stars of the night sky, muttering to himself:

"Though they appear peaceful on the surface, I feel the oppression behind the heavens... This is the beginning of a new contest, and our true test..."

Annie clutched the hilt of her sword, listening intently to the faint mental wave feedback, yet unaware of the shadow lurking within the Silver Moon Saintess, stirring restlessly and gradually expanding to erode consciousness...

The night deepened, thicker and more obscure than before.

Yet despite this, at this moment, the world was still suffused with an uplifting atmosphere woven from resilience and hope, even as the chasm grew more apparent, even with betrayal possibly arriving at any moment.

But what truly etched eternally into the world’s memory were those who vowed to defend their beliefs to the death, sacrificing life to chase the future!

David walked slowly across the silent lands, his body surrounded by red-gold flames in stark contrast to the stark red desolation.

His gaze was steadfast and profound, as if piercing through the layers of mist at the world’s broken end.

Everything appeared lifeless, yet his heartbeat raced due to some indescribable power, a secret summons from the deepest part of the blood prison.

In the center of the ruins, a large altar half-covered in emerald vines, engraved with ancient runes, stood prominently.

The altar, sculpted from obsidian, was covered with the mottled imprints of ages past, yet still exuded an ominous chill that sent shivers down the spine.

Atop the altar, a huge, crystalline core with flowing red veins suspended quietly—this was the legendary "Blood Demon Core," formed by the confluence of innumerable blood and soul energy, the most terrifying and forbidden remnant of ancient demons and gods left on earth.

David approached slowly, his halberd lightly touching the air, emitting dazzling red-gold flames that slightly dispelled the cold and darkness around.

He gazed at the surface of the Blood Demon Core, and among the textures seemed to emerge a faint human face’s phantom—it was Alia!

Under the emerald green robe, her resolute and fearless face, eyes blazing like a torch, appeared and disappeared like a mirage.

His heart leapt suddenly, and David instinctively reached out to touch the phantom.

However, just as his fingertips were about to touch the phantom, Alia’s face suddenly transformed into a line of blood red, ink-like strange text, slowly emerging in the air:

"On the day when the shadows of the Ancient Gods envelop the Divine Kingdom, I shall return."

This line of blood text seemed to carry a curse echoing within the soul, each dripping letter carrying the sound of crackling embers, like a shrill roar from the abyss of the Netherworld.

The text glowed black and scorching, sending chills down the spine, yet mixed with an endless sensation of anticipation and fear intertwining.

David clenched his fist, his gaze as heavy as stone, as a heavy sense of duty instantly descended, more than just a prophecy, but a warning, a summon.

He knew that this path was destined to be thorny, yet there was no turning back, only forward.

The surrounding air suddenly shifted, changing from ice to scorching, then gradually to a tumultuous, chaotic blur.

An invisible pressure pressed down upon him, almost suffocating, yet he persisted, channeling the divine flame and god authority fragment’s power from within to its absolute limit.

This power, like fiery chains, encircled him, constantly resisting external erosion and invasion.

At that moment, from the edge of the ruins, a thick black mist surged with incredible speed towards the altar.

It seemed poised to devour all life, faintly visible within were blurred humanoid twisted outlines, like shadow hunters in nightmares, silently lurking, waiting for their prey to move before striking swiftly.

"Be alert!" David shouted, forcefully wielding his halberd, plunging its tip into the earth beneath.

An explosion of a red-gold seal erupted instantly, countless runes shooting towards the sky, entangling and battling the black mist into a fierce storm.

This storm roared like a giant beast, tearing and spreading in the sky, gradually pushing back evil spirits and other malevolent forces, buying valuable time for the camp and allies to adjust their frontline.

The "Guardian" warlock knights gathered, their eyes shimmering with clear, sharp light, standing steadfast to protect this pivotal stronghold from intrusion.

Yet even so, this battle’s dual challenge of mental and physical origins was far from over.

As the battle intensified, Alia’s residual influence in this moment’s afterglow continued to impact the entire final corridor and the multi-world fate network—she was not only a pure faith but also a key connecting past, present, and future.

Simultaneously, the plot of the fate-altering seed hidden within her began brewing more enormous and dangerous backlash...

Night gradually fell, under the dim, soft glow of campfire light, soldiers from multiple races sat discussing the recent shift in the situation, their expressions complex, with exhaustion, worry, yet intertwined with resolve and hope.

An elderly human elder stroked his silver beard, speaking softly:

"Alia’s message not only foretells a crisis but indicates the singular hope lies therein...

We must find the true way for her return, or all our struggles will be in vain."

A dwarf warrior hefted a heavy warhammer, striking it into his palm: "That’s right! We can’t just sit and wait to be annihilated! As long as there’s breath, we’ll fight to the end for freedom!"
