Wizard: Stronger through Marriage

Chapter 1355 - 633: Oath of Reincarnation

Chapter 1355: Chapter 633: Oath of Reincarnation

He walked slowly along the little path paved with fine fallen leaves between the trees, his deep gaze fixed upon the sanctuary before him, a place birthed jointly by ancient tree and spring, like a natural Divine Hall—the very heart of the Jade Dream Realm, the ancient tree pedestal known as the "Heart of Life."

The great tree was gnarled and powerful, its branches coiling and weaving into a form like an altar encircled by living wood, and upon that altar were inlaid translucent shards of the Heart of Life, gleaming with a soft radiance whose brilliance was like stars fallen to earth, yet gentle and magnanimous, harboring boundless vitality.

David slowly knelt, taking from his breast a Crystal Core—the new body’s core, refined from the distilled essence of arcane and Natural Power—and laid it with a careful hand upon the center of the Heart of Life’s fragments.

"Yi Lin," his voice was low and tender, like an echo from some primeval valley, "may this power protect you as it reshapes your form, that the rhythm of nature may flow anew, and your Soul may dwell with the mortal world in harmony, no longer shackled by fate."

As his words fell, a clear wind suddenly rose, brushing the fine blades of grass around them into a rustling song.

Rich greenery rippled with the wind as if answering his call—the branches began to stir and extend, layers of emerald vines spreading out from the base of the pedestal and gradually covering the Crystal Core, wrapping it into a complete, vibrant new-born form.

This new body shimmered with a faint blue‑green sheen, melding with its surroundings, like a Guardian of the forest waking from its long slumber.

Yi Lin’s Soul, once shattered and adrift, vague and forgotten, slowly coalesced, gathering ever‑stronger Life Force within the new form.

She beheld the world’s renewal, and felt that what David had given her was not merely flesh, but also hope and a sense of belonging.

In that moment, her eyes brimmed with tears yet carried a smile—this was the release and joy that comes when the most sincere prayer for freedom’s source is finally answered.

At the same time, upon a moonlit altar not far from there, a solemn and sacred ceremony was underway.

The altar, carved from pure white marble, shone with a cool yet tranquil silver luster beneath the veil of night.

Pale‑blue Magic Array lines divided the entire space into several circles, and at the center was set a great Arcane Gemstone bearing the symbols of the stars’ trajectories and the cycles of destiny.

Liya was clad in light Armor woven of silver threads; a soft blush colored her cheeks, and her emerald eyes shone bright and lively.

When Cynthia stepped to her side, their gazes met, and in that brief exchange a steadfast resonance of feeling flowed between them;

Reina stood quietly nearby, her amber eyes filled with gentle care, and also with endless hope for what lay ahead.

All things seemed to speak without words: this was the covenant they shared—to guard this world with their faith, that it might no longer be disturbed by darkness, no longer be devoured by fate!

David sat upright at the center of the altar, his fingers tracing delicate lines as he slowly projected the prepared Reincarnation Star‑pattern imprint above each of their chests.

Lines of resplendent Runes unfolded like strands of the Milky Way, gradually extending, pulsing in time with their bloodlines, then linking to the faintly visible new star paths deep in the heavens.

Like a Contract of destiny, this mark would bind their life paths tightly together, making them vital pillars in guarding the undying Flame of the mortal age!

The atmosphere of the ceremony was grave and devout; with every Rune that flared to life came a subtle tremor in the air, and the expressions on their faces shifted in turn: Liya’s eyes were half‑closed, as though silently praying;

Cynthia’s lips pressed into a thin line, yet her brows were set with firm resolve;

Reina, by contrast, wore a rare relaxed smile—that was her boundless trust and blessing for the future.

At the same time, their breathing gradually steadied, and the Energy Field radiating from each of them intertwined ever more closely—this was destined to be a bond that could never be severed, enduring for all time!

Yet just as they welcomed this Contract of a new age, a lithe figure slipped through the forest and quietly stepped to the altar’s edge.

He wore black‑iron witch‑knight Armor, his muscular form sharply defined, every breath seeming as though it could shake the heavens and the earth.

This was Hill—David’s most unyielding, immovable Warrior, and one of the finest symbols of mortal spirit.

But at this moment, his eyes carried none of the shared glory and Flame that burned in the others’ expectations, only a resolute, austere determination he could not conceal.

He halted and watched the imprinting ritual from afar, yet never closed the distance to join them. His hand gripped the hilt of his Bloodstained Longsword, tightening and loosening in turn, as if wrestling with the turmoil in his heart.

"Commander, I..." his voice was low, yet firm, "I decline to accept the Reincarnation Star‑pattern."

All present were stunned at his words, trading shocked looks with one another.

"Why?" Liya was the first to ask; her brows arched faintly, but her tone was full of concern. "Your strength has long transcended the ordinary; this imprint is meant to ensure that our shared will is passed on without end!"

Hill raised his sword and pointed to the sky, his back straight as a mountain standing tall. "I am mortal, and I would rather guard the Commander’s return with a mortal body.

My duty does not rely on the authority of gods, nor does it need an eternal Contract.

I believe that forging an oath with blood, and defying the darkness with loyalty, is purer than any Magic Rune."

Cynthia looked toward him with tear‑filled eyes. "Your choice is worthy of respect, and it helps us better understand what true faith is.

But remember this: whether you accept it or not, we still see you as a brother in arms."

Reina nodded in agreement. "The freedom to choose is one of the core ideals we strive to protect. No matter which path you walk, as long as your conviction holds firm, we will journey forward together."

The atmosphere at once became extraordinarily solemn, yet suffused with warmth.

In this era when even the gods’ authority was sealed away forever and a new Chapter of humanity had begun, they still held fast to their pursuit of freedom and self‑determination. It gave the ceremony, beyond its solemn grandeur, a vivid and lively tension of human nature—perhaps this was the true annotation that deserved to be remembered and sung in the annals of history!
