Chapter 505 - 208: Buying an Island

Chapter 505: Chapter 208: Buying an Island

David cleared his throat to attract the other’s attention.

"Hello, I’m David. I would like to register as a member of the Wizard Alliance."

The young wizard looked up at him, smiled, and replied, "Welcome, David."

"To become a member of the Wizard Alliance, you need to undergo a series of evaluations and tests to ensure you have sufficient ability and potential."

"First, please fill out this form."

The wizard handed David a form, which listed many questions about personal information and magic background.

David carefully filled it out and handed it back to the wizard.

His identity this time was falsified, coming from an island that was conquered by the Sea Race, making it difficult to verify his identity.

"Very well, next you need to take a simple magic test to demonstrate your magic ability and knowledge level."

After the wizard confirmed there were no issues, he led David to a specialized testing room.

The testing room was filled with various magic items and books, and the wizard explained the content and rules of the test to David.

David needed to solve several magic challenges within the limited time, including spellcasting, potion configuration, and magic theory answers.

David took a deep breath, focused his mind, and began his test.

As time passed by, when he completed the last task, he still had a relaxed expression on his face.

The wizard was somewhat surprised at this, and then took David to the room for testing strength.

David stood at the center of the testing room, surrounded by various magic items and rune stones, with a faint magic energy permeating the air.

The wizard responsible for testing was an experienced Second-Ring Mage, who watched David solemnly, ready to begin the test.

"First, demonstrate your basic control power of magic," said the Second-Ring Mage.

David nodded, closed his eyes, and began to concentrate his mind.

He gently waved the magic staff in his hand, and the surrounding magic energy started to ripple, forming waves of visible magic ripples.

The Second-Ring Mage nodded slightly, "Next, demonstrate your magic attack ability."

David took a deep breath, gathered magic power at the tip of the magic staff, then swung it forcefully.

A dazzling magic beam shot out from the magic staff, accurately hitting the magic target used for testing, smashing it to pieces.

A glint of surprise flashed in the eyes of the Second-Ring Mage; such attacking power had already exceeded his expectations for an average newcomer.

"Finally, demonstrate your magic defense and reaction ability."

The Second-Ring Mage said, suddenly releasing a magic attack that struck towards David.

David reacted quickly, raised the magic staff, and swiftly chanted a defense spell.

A transparent magic shield unfolded in front of him, successfully blocking the attack.

The attacks from the Second-Ring Mage did not stop; several subsequent attacks were deftly defended by David.

After the test ended, the Second-Ring Mage was surprised at David’s strength, "Your strength far exceeds that of a typical Official Mage, even reaching the Tier One Wizard Level."

"However, you seem to have not successfully condensed your Talent Witchcraft yet?"

David modestly smiled and said, "I still have much to learn; I hope to gain more guidance and improvement in the Wizard Alliance."

Although he planned to join the Wizard Alliance, he did not intend to completely reveal his strength.

Moreover, he did not intentionally hide, his spiritual power indeed was only at the Tier One Wizard Level, and the Talent Witchcraft indeed hadn’t condensed.

Just relying on the Source of Second-Ring Magic Power and the Talent Mark, his strength was by no means weak against the Second-Ring Mage in front of him.

Plus, with the power of the Elemental Wizard Tower, he could even fairly easily eliminate the Second-Ring Mage in front of him.

Even if facing a Third-Ring Mage, he could not win but was confident he could escape, which was also why he planned to develop in the Haiwang Cape Sea Region.

Unless the Tower Master of the Sea Cape Tower personally made a move, this sea region didn’t have many who could easily keep him here.

The Second-Ring Mage nodded and said, "You will have more opportunities to learn and practice; the Wizard Alliance welcomes your joining."

With that, the Second-Ring Mage led David out of the testing room, preparing to process his formal membership in the Wizard Alliance.

After handling the procedures, David left the Wizard Alliance Branch and headed to the Wizard Market.

This was a place full of a magical aura, with numerous strange stalls and shops standing in rows, the air filled with the scent of herbs, magic materials, and mysterious spices.

The vendors shouted loudly about their goods, including magic potions, ancient scrolls, rare gemstones, eggs of exotic creatures, and various magic equipment.

The crowd in the market was diverse, with wizards wearing traditional robes and ordinary citizens in modern clothes, and even some peculiar creatures.

David’s eyes were drawn to these novelties; he noticed a stall displaying some glowing magic crystals and approached to inquire about the price and uses.

The stall owner was a kind old wizard, patiently explaining to David the source of these crystals and their role in magic ceremonies.

David then continued deeper into the market, arriving at a more secluded area where there were some more mysterious shops.

He stopped at the entrance of an ancient magic bookstore.

According to the friendly reminder from the previous testing wizard, this place had some precious magic books and ancient knowledge.

David pushed open the bookstore door. Inside, the bookstore was dim and tranquil, forming a stark contrast with the hustle and bustle outside.
