Chapter 931 - 421: Depths of the Endless Sea
Chapter 931 - 421: Depths of the Endless Sea
With the arrival of the Shadow Mage Chilami, the Wizards and Warriors of the Endless Sea seemed to be infused with a new power, their morale soaring.
They used the Shadow Magic Chilami excelled at to lay down layers of Mist and darkness across the battlefield, delaying the Chaos Realm’s advance.
Chilami stood at one corner of the battlefield, his hands lightly waving as strands of Shadow Energy leapt at his fingertips, nimble as if alive.
He chanted an ancient Spell in a low voice, the sound deep and rhythmic, as though it could pierce space itself and act directly upon the enemy’s Mind.
"Shadow Binding!" Chilami suddenly shouted, and a pitch‑black chain manifested out of the void, swiftly sealing off the surrounding Elemental Power.
The Wizards only felt a tremendous power binding their bodies; they could not move and could only watch helplessly as the enemy’s attacks drew near.
At the same time, the Wizards of the Endless Sea also began to launch a counterattack.
They made use of the shadowy environment Chilami had created to unleash all kinds of bizarre and powerful Magic.
Some Wizards summoned gigantic Shadow Beasts to launch ferocious charges against the enemy;
others used Shadow Energy to weave illusions, confusing the enemy’s sight and plunging them into chaos.
David frowned deeply; from the Shadow Mage before him, he actually sensed a familiar aura of a Divine Spirit. "The Dark God, is it?"
"Don’t panic!" the commander of the Chaos Realm shouted loudly. "Focus your Minds, use our Magic and weapons to smash through these Shadows!"
The Wizards and Warriors of the Chaos Realm began adjusting their tactics, trying to adapt to this new battlefield environment.
They used the Magic and weapons they were best at to launch fierce attacks on the enemies hidden in the Shadows.
However, Chilami’s Shadow Magic was simply too strange and too powerful; their attacks often struck nothing but air, or were blocked by Shadow Beasts and illusions.
Just then, Earth Witch Hill and Wind Witch Lingnai once again stepped forward.
They knew well that if they wanted to break the current stalemate, they had to find Chilami’s weakness and deliver a fatal blow.
Hill took a deep breath and pressed both hands tightly to the ground, feeling the pulse of the Earth. She closed her eyes, as if engaged in some mysterious communion with the Earth.
A moment later she suddenly opened her eyes, a steadfast light flashing within. "Earth’s Pulse!"
Hill gave a low shout, and a powerful seismic wave spread out from beneath her feet, sweeping across the entire battlefield in an instant.
This seismic wave not only destroyed the Shadow Beasts and illusions on the battlefield, it also caused a brief disruption in Chilami’s Shadow Magic.
At the same time, Lingnai also moved into action. She waved her hands lightly, summoning a fierce storm that swept straight toward Chilami.
The storm carried razor‑sharp Wind Blades, each one capable of inflicting lethal damage on the enemy.
Facing the combined assault of Hill and Lingnai, Chilami’s expression grew solemn.
He knew full well he could not take the brunt of these two’s powerful Magic head‑on, so he quickly cast a layer of Shadow Shield around himself, trying to fend off the storm’s onslaught.
However, Hill and Lingnai’s attacks were far from ordinary.
Earth’s Pulse caused violent changes in the terrain of the battlefield; gigantic rocks and rifts appeared out of nowhere, creating significant interference for Chilami.
Meanwhile, the Wind Blades within the storm fell upon the Shadow Shield like a dense rain, issuing crisp, ringing impacts.
Under Hill and Lingnai’s sustained assault, Chilami’s Shadow Shield began to crack.
His heart jolted—he knew he could not go on like this.
So he quickly adjusted his tactics, using Shadow Magic to create a duplicate body in an attempt to confuse Hill and Lingnai’s sight.
However, Hill and Lingnai had long since seen through Chilami’s trick. They exchanged a smile, tacit understanding flashing in their eyes.
Hill unleashed Earth’s Pulse once more, while Lingnai directed the storm’s Wind Blades into a ferocious offensive against Chilami’s true body.
With their seamless cooperation, Chilami’s duplicate was quickly destroyed, and his true body was exposed beneath the storm.
Confronted with this lethal strike, Chilami had no choice but to exert himself to the utmost to defend. Yet before Hill and Lingnai’s overwhelming offensive, his Shadow Shield finally shattered.
A powerful impact shook Chilami back several steps, a trace of blood seeping from the corner of his mouth.
He knew he was already badly wounded; if he continued fighting, the odds were grim.
So he shot Hill and Lingnai a vicious glare, then turned and vanished into the Shadows.
With Chilami’s retreat, the Wizards and Warriors of the Endless Sea once more fell into chaos.
Deprived of Chilami’s Shadow Magic support, they seemed powerless in the face of the Chaos Realm’s offensive.
The Chaos Realm immediately seized the opportunity, ordering its Wizards and Warriors to launch an all‑out assault.
The Wizards and Warriors of the Chaos Realm surged toward the Endless Sea’s defensive line like a tidal wave.
Their Magic and weapons intertwined across the battlefield in a blaze of dazzling sparks, each strike enough to chill the enemy’s heart.
Though the Wizards and Warriors of the Endless Sea fought back with everything they had, under such a ferocious offensive they still gradually fell into disadvantage.
Their defensive line was compressed step by step, and their casualties grew ever more grievous.
When the Master of the Endless Sea saw this scene, his heart filled with despair and helplessness.
He knew all too well that he no longer had the power to turn the tide, and could only watch as the Endless Sea sank into cataclysmic ruin.
