Chapter 1165 - 478: Human Centipede

Chapter 1165: Chapter 478: Human Centipede

Caroline’s eyes flashed with approval once again, then she pointed to the distant mutated creatures still locked in chaotic battle:

"So... in this situation now..."

Her hint was already very obvious.

The entire arena was a massive energy collector.

The chaotic spores were not just to create chaos; they were meant to provoke extreme emotions in the contestants.

And the process of death and resurrection was meant to collect the purest essence of life.

"So this whole carnival is a trap."

Ron’s voice turned cold: "It’s to gather energy for that ritual."

Caroline weakly nodded.

In her consciousness, Aselia let out an angry roar:

"These lunatics! I’ve more or less understood this ritual, they must be trying to collect this life energy and souls to establish contact with something terrible!"

Ron repeated Aselia’s question.

Caroline heard the question, and her body began to tremble violently.

The control device was warning her not to disclose more information.

But she knew that if she couldn’t provide enough useful information, she would die here soon.

With trembling fingers, she recalled some of her elective courses and wrote three Draconic letters in the sand:

"Mor’du..."

Then, she painfully added the latter part:

"...Korthak"

Mor’du Korthak—in Draconic, this means "Supreme Dominator."

This was an ancient Dragon Race term used to describe terrifying entities that exceeded mortal comprehension.

Caroline’s body began to convulse.

The control device was activated, intense pain like an electric current coursing through her nerves.

But in the final moments before she fainted, she wrote the last word in Draconic:

"Thok’malar..." (of the Second Era...)

These two fragments of information struck everyone present like a lightning bolt.

Supreme Dominator of the Second Era...

......

Elsewhere, at the center of the ritual spiraling out of control, chaos spread like a virus.

A frenzied devouring beyond the bounds of death began between Lianna and Vini.

Countless vines, thick as pythons, extended from Lianna’s back, each exuding a nauseating corrosive scent.

These tendrils wound around the insect swarms split from Vini with unimaginable speed, dragging them into the abyss of those enormous carnivorous flowers.

The moment the petals, serrated like a saw, snapped shut, a teeth-chattering sound of bones cracking could be heard.

Trapped insects emitted sharp death wails in the strong acid dissolution, a sound like ten thousand needles piercing one’s eardrum simultaneously.

The digestive fluids glowed with an eerie fluorescent green, each drop containing terrifying power capable of decomposing the essence of life.

But Vini’s counterattack was equally horrifying.

The insects, seemingly fully digested, laid eggs in their last moments within Lianna’s digestive chamber.

Upon contact with plant juices, these eggs not only survived but gained some sort of alien enhancement.

Using Lianna’s life essence as nourishment, they hatched into larger, more ferocious mutated insects within seconds.

These newly born monstrosities burst from the inside of the flowers, grotesque and fearsome like alien creatures.

Their carapaces gleamed with a metallic sheen; their mandibles were sharp as surgical blades, and their compound eyes burned with a bloodthirsty red glow.

Most terrifyingly, these parasitic insects forcibly linked themselves to Lianna’s nervous system.

Allowing her to enjoy the "pleasure of feeding" while also enduring the intense pain of being "eaten from the inside."

"No... stop, but I can’t stop..."

Lianna moaned as if in a nightmare.

The plant instinct drove her to keep devouring, but the parasitic insects made her suffer intolerable pain.

Pleasure and pain entangled like twin demons, tearing her sanity apart.

Vini’s situation was equally twisted and cruel.

Whenever her insect swarm was digested and devoured, a huge "sense of loss" arose in the collective consciousness, like a part of her body being cut off alive.

But this pain also triggered a stronger reproductive drive, compelling her to produce more offspring to "fill the void."

"It must be filled... it must be replenished... the tribe cannot diminish..."

Countless tiny voices formed a piercing chorus in the air, Vini’s collective consciousness trapped in an obsessive cycle of oviposition.

Her body operated like a factory, continuously producing new insects every second, which were immediately captured by Lianna’s tendrils.

This "devour-incubate-devour again" vicious cycle quickly spread to the entire ritual center.

Those other contestants resurrected under the influence of the chaotic spores also fell into this diseased mutual dependency.

A young warrior originally from the Sandwalker Tribe now had a lower body completely transformed into a plant, countless roots deeply embedded in the ground drawing nutrients.

His upper body was parasitized by Vini’s insect swarm, with a chest cavity constantly nurturing new eggs.

Whenever an egg hatched, he felt the twisted ecstasy of "new life being born."

But at the same time, the larvae’s gnawing made him want to die from the pain.

A Female Shaman from the Multi-faced Race tribe, her body had become a semi-transparent sac-like structure.

Inside floated dozens of embryos at different developmental stages, some were insects, some were plants, and some were shapes completely unrecognizable.

Her consciousness was forcibly fragmented into dozens of segments, each experiencing the "growth memories" of different embryos.

Birth, foraging, breeding, death—countless life cycles played out simultaneously in her mind, causing her personality to completely shatter.
