Chapter 1368 - 539: Going Easy? (Part 3)
Chapter 1368: Chapter 539: Going Easy? (Part 3)
Every loop dependency is designed so ingeniously that only upon deep analysis does its insolvability become apparent.
As the number of deductions increases, Ron begins to feel mentally fatigued.
The overload operation of the [Wisdom Triangle] causes his temples to throb, and the overwhelming information brought by [Essential Insight] further confuses his consciousness.
"No... something must be wrong..."
He mutters to himself, beads of sweat beginning to seep from his forehead.
Nari and Aselia, observing from the side, are worried about his state.
Nari wants to step forward to comfort him but fears interrupting his thoughts.
Aselia, on the other hand, frowns deeply as she uses her keen Dragon Race perception to analyze the surrounding energy changes.
"Ron," she says softly, "your Spiritual Wave is very unstable. Perhaps you should take a break."
But Ron seems not to hear and remains immersed in the seemingly unsolvable logic maze.
His obsession deepens continuously, and cracks begin to appear in his reason under the overload operation.
On the other side, Carlos’s behavior only confuses people more as they watch Ron sink deeper into the logic maze.
Unlike the completely hostile Guardians of the previous two trials.
The Time Hound behaves more like a polite, even somewhat enthusiastic "examiner" throughout.
He never actively stops Ron’s attempts and even offers "reminders" at appropriate times.
When Ron fails for the twelfth time, lightly tapping his forehead in frustration, Carlos clears his throat:
"Lecturer Ralph, your wisdom is admirable, but it seems you’re using a precise Key to unlock a lock that doesn’t exist. Truly regretful."
Such overtly clear "kind reminders" make Nari uncomfortable.
Her Apostle intuition sounds the alarm frantically, her six eyes fixed on Carlos:
"This guy is too calm, like watching a play whose ending he already knows."
Aselia, meanwhile, feels another kind of anger.
She cannot stand being treated like a child:
"He’s treating us as if we’re students needing enlightenment! Every word carries this lofty ’teaching’ tone!"
But what worries the family most is Ron’s obsession deepening continuously.
Facing repeated failures, he instead becomes emotionally entangled rather than calming down.
"There must be a solution... There must be clues I missed..."
He frantically switches between countless formulas, pushing [Wisdom Triangle]’s computational capacity to the limit.
The dense logical relationships intertwine in his mind, like an increasingly complex spider web.
Nari finally can’t bear it anymore as she sees things going awry.
Even if her method seems somewhat... foolish at the moment, she decides to help her precious one her way.
"Let Mom give it a try!"
Before Ron reacts, Nari has rushed to the lab bench.
Six arms wildly wave under her cloak, grabbing various "useful" materials and pouring them into a container.
"Flowing Sadness? This looks good!"
"Solidified Joy? Sounds great!"
"Yesterday’s Sunlight? Although I don’t know what it is, it must be important!"
Nari’s logic is simple and straightforward:
Mix everything that sounds impressive together, there can’t be anything wrong!
"Mom, wait..." Ron tries to stop her, but it’s too late.
Boom——!
The entire lab bench turns to ash in a violent explosion.
The shockwave sweeps the trio off their feet, colorful smoke rolling through the air.
When the smoke dissipates, Nari looks a little sheepishly at the chaotic scene:
"Uh... seems I messed up?"
Everyone thought Carlos would be angry, reprimand them, or even directly declare the challenge failed.
However, the caretaker of the Magic Potion Workshop simply claps his hands lightly:
"Magnificent display!"
His praise surprisingly seems genuine:
"This lady showed us that when order is disrupted, Energy returns to its most pure origin, which in itself is a ’truth’, is it not?"
Carlos adjusts his monocle, carrying the reflective tone of a philosopher:
"Just, perhaps a bit too intense."
As his voice falls, the destroyed lab bench automatically reassembles, all materials returning to place as if the explosion never happened.
This reaction causes Nari and Aselia to exchange a glance, both seeing the same confusion in each other’s eyes.
Next, Aselia tries her own method.
Having accompanied Panadora for at least twenty years, she possesses plenty of profound theories.
She begins utilizing "Harmony Theory", seeking to understand the essence of these formulas from a higher dimensional perspective:
"Everything follows the fundamental Rhythm of the universe, if I can find the equation of this Rhythm..."
With her silver hair floating in inverse gravity, the young girl enters a contemplative state, eyelids closed.
But when she opens her eyes, frustration covers her face:
"No, the arrangement of these formulas follows no known formula, they are like... random noise."
Carlos once again flashes that spine-chilling approving smile:
"The pursuit of supreme harmony is a common goal shared by all the wise.
But, madam, have you considered that even the grandest symphony must be composed of individual basic notes?"
His voice carrying some deeper meaning:
"Perhaps, the answer is not atop the Star but among the dust."
Following two failures, Ron becomes more immersed in his logical world.
But each time he falls into a new cycle, Carlos appropriately sighs with "kind" intention:
"You’re using a hammer to hit flowing water, and using a net to catch starlight.
The tools themselves are correct, but perhaps... the target is mistaken?"
"Truth never hides in complex mazes, often it awaits discovery in the simplest of places by those with the opportunity."
Each sentence of these remarks sounds like hints, all leading towards the core concept of "breaking the box."
Yet this overly evident "watering down" rather makes the trio feel increasingly suspicious.
