Chapter 483 - 254: Desert Hunter, Reynolds
Chapter 483: Chapter 254: Desert Hunter, Reynolds
These organs are undoubtedly the most ideal materials, containing the Abyss Adaptability and Energy Transformation Ability he needs.
Leaving the Silent Market, Ron met up with Ethan who was waiting outside:
"The trade is complete. We can leave now."
Ethan visibly breathed a sigh of relief, seemingly not very at ease with the Shadow Area:
"Great, Master Wizard. Shall we head straight back to the airship, or would you like to tour other areas of Town 69?"
"Back to the airship, then."
Ron decided, his thoughts already drifting towards the imminent experiment:
"I need to process these materials as soon as possible."
On the way, Ron’s mind was constantly revolving around the encounter he just had.
Wizard Reynolds, a Morning Star Level wizard skilled in Bloodline Modulation, was about to become his neighbor on the ship...this might be a rare opportunity for exchange.
Especially as he was about to venture to the unfamiliar Central Lands, being able to meet an experienced senior was undoubtedly fortunate.
Back on the airship, Ron immediately started organizing the newly acquired materials.
In the experimental area of his suite, he set up a temporary workbench and took out a specially made preservation device to ensure those abyssal organs remained in optimal condition.
Just as he finished handling his tasks, the service crystal suddenly lit up:
"Wizard Ralph, the captain invites you to the reception room on Deck A. Wizard Reynolds has arrived and hopes to have dinner with you."
Ron smiled faintly, this "chance encounter" indeed quickly resulted in a follow-up.
He tidied his attire, ensuring his appearance was fitting for an Official Wizard, then headed to the reception room.
The reception room was elegantly and comfortably arranged, with a finely carved round table at the center, already adorned with various delicacies and wines.
The captain—a slightly stout man in uniform—stood at the door to greet him.
"Wizard Ralph, welcome to this small gathering."
The captain said warmly, "Wizard Reynolds has just boarded, and I think this is a good opportunity for the two of you to get acquainted."
Ron nodded politely in acknowledgement, his gaze passing over the captain to look inside the room.
Beside the round table, a tall middle-aged man was sipping a drink.
He wore a deep blue robe, with a Wizard Badge on his chest similar in style yet different in pattern to Ron’s.
"Wizard Reynolds, this is Wizard Ralph from the Black Mist School, en route to the Central Lands."
The captain introduced.
Reynolds slowly turned around, revealing a face with distinct features, his sharp blue eyes giving Ron a sense of familiarity.
At the moment their eyes met, Reynolds’ expression clearly froze.
"Ralph..." his voice carried a hint of undisguised surprise, "I didn’t expect to see you here."
Ron smiled inwardly, he had already confirmed his suspicions:
This Wizard Reynolds was the "Mist Walker" in the Shadow Area.
"Wizard Reynolds."
The young wizard displayed a friendly smile:
"It seems I had the fortune of crossing paths with you in Town 69 earlier?"
Reynolds subtly raised his eyebrows, then also showed a slight smile:
"It seems our ’caution’ was somewhat superfluous in this small place."
The captain clearly didn’t understand the subtle dialogue between the two wizards but smiled benevolently:
"Wonderful! It seems the two of you are already acquainted, which will make the journey more enjoyable. Please sit down and enjoy the dinner, I’ve prepared some unique airship specialties."
Both were extraordinary beings who had undergone life transitions, consuming ordinary food was more of a dining etiquette to them.
"Wizard Reynolds, it seems you have your own unique insights into abyssal creatures."
Ron had a simple bite and then casually found a suitable topic to lead in.
