Chapter 528 - 270: The "Domain" of the Great One (Part 2)

Chapter 528: Chapter 270: The "Domain" of the Great One (Part 2)

"This Ron Ralph is... exceptionally pure. His grace is almost devoid of any impurities, like a clear spring flowing directly from the source. Such characteristics are exceedingly rare in my long life."

Uther paused for a moment, then continued:

"Aside from this, he seems to have no particular purpose for Eve, at least for now. Their interaction appears more like a pure knowledge exchange rather than a trade of interests."

Cassandra fell silent for a moment, evidently weighing the pros and cons: "Then, what is your suggestion?"

"Observe but do not intervene, let things develop naturally." Uther concluded:

"This young man is likely more extraordinary than what we currently perceive. His future achievements may far exceed our imagination. If he can indeed provide any relief to Eve’s condition, it would be a pleasant surprise."

Just... relief?

Mentioning her daughter’s condition, Cassandra’s expression became complicated:

"According to what you previously said, the root cause of the ’Demon Devouring’ symptoms... is it really completely unsolvable?"

This question seemed to touch upon some taboo, the energy fluctuations in the air underwent a subtle tremor.

Uther’s gaze deepened, as if he saw through endless space-time:

"Violations at the rule level are never simply solvable issues, Cassandra, you should understand as well."

"I do." Cassandra’s voice turned low: "But as a mother..."

Her words remained unfinished yet she realized she fell into emotional turmoil again, immediately resorting to "Forced Meditation."

"We all know, Eve’s existence itself is an adventure."

Uther carefully chose his words:

"Your attempt to break that ’Bloodline Lock,’ though daring, isn’t without reason."

Cassandra’s amethyst eyes held some desolation:

"Forever unable to surpass the shackles of one’s bloodline origin, that is the fate of our Crown Clan..."

"It’s the common predicament of all great bloodline descendants."

Uther could only reassure:

"The Bloodline Lock is part of the rules, a mechanism to ensure balance. Otherwise, the Witch King’s descendants, with their already outstanding talents aided by their tilted resources, might have the potential to become a new Witch King, leading to unlimited expansion of power and the collapse of the grace rules."

Cassandra smiled faintly, her smile full of self-mockery:

"So no matter how prosperous the Manzhi Clan becomes, it can only exist as the shadow of the ’King of Absurdity.’"

"That one indeed manages the clan little, as do all Witch Kings, one might say."

Uther sighed:

"Once the Witch King steps into their ’kingdom,’ they rarely pay attention to the bloodline descendants of the original world. They care more about expanding and sublimating their realm. After all, establishing a bloodline clan is merely one of the means to expand the rule imprint."

The "King of Absurdity’s" kingdom is founded upon the rules of "absurdity."

It’s a "contradictory world" entirely transformed, a realm filled with twisted existences defying common knowledge.

Legend has it that the most absurd ideas there become reality, and the most impossible things coexist.

"Speaking of it, the ancestor’s ’kingdom’ is somewhat like a different form of the abyss."

Cassandra faintly commented, seemingly merely trying to shift the topic.

"In a certain sense, yes."

Uther nodded:

"’Kingdom’ is often an extreme distortion of the rules of reality, whereas the abyss is an area where the rules are loose, they do have commonalities in essence."

Cassandra turned her gaze back to the containers filled with otherworldly creatures:

"So, do you believe my research direction is correct? Attempting to find possibilities to break the Bloodline Lock by collecting and analyzing the energy structure of different planes?"

"At least more promising than most attempts."

Uther candidly said:

"But whether it can ultimately succeed, only time may give an answer. However, Cassandra, there’s something I must remind you..."

His tone became particularly serious:

"Regardless of whether Eve can ultimately break the rule confinement, she is foremost a vibrant life, your daughter, not just an experimental specimen. I’ve seen your emotions towards her, although you keep trying to suppress it, it truly exists and is continuously growing."

Cassandra’s expression slightly stiffened: "I... understand what you mean."

A brief silence fell over the communication channel, the conversation between two powerful beings seemed to reach an impasse when touching upon complex emotional domains.

"Back to the topic."

Uther eventually broke the silence:

"Regarding Ron Ralph, I will continue to observe, any significant findings will be immediately reported to you. You concentrate on your research, all matters within the Crystal Tower are currently under control."

Cassandra nodded in agreement:

"Thank you for your help, Master. I just hope that my aimless expedition can truly bring some change to Eve’s situation."

"May fate favor you, Cassandra." Uther’s projection began to blur:

"If that young man is truly as extraordinary as I sense, perhaps his appearance itself is a sort of arrangement of fate."

With these long-meaning words, the glow of the Communication Crystal gradually dimmed, and the projection completely vanished.

Cassandra stood quietly for a long time in the void, her amethyst-like eyes flashing with complex light.

As a Great Wizard, she has almost surpassed the bonds of ordinary emotions.

But when it comes to her daughter, that indescribable concern lingers persistently.

"Eve..." she murmured softly, her voice mixed with subtle expectation and compassion.

Later, she calmed her mind and refocused her attention on her findings before her.

Reaching out, she took a crystal container, within it, the fluid creature trembled slightly in her palm, as if sensing some pressure.

"I hope you can provide some useful information for my research."

Cassandra assessed calmly, the tenderness in her purple eyes completely replaced by a researcher’s cold light: "Regarding how to break that lock."

With the container put away, Cassandra’s figure gradually faded away in the interstellar void.

Leaving only a faint energy ripple, proving she once existed here.

.........

The Enchantment Element of the Crystal Tower is housed within an independent structure in West District Tower Group.

Its exterior resembles the main teaching building, akin to an open ancient book, the "pages" on either side made of countless tiny runes, shimmering under the sunlight.

The interior design is even more peculiar, corridors and rooms are adorned with runes as a theme.

Even the walls embedded some living runes; they change forms with the surrounding magic power fluctuations, creating a unique visual art.

Ron walked along the corridor towards the elementary lecture hall, full of curiosity about the surroundings.

As a Teaching Assistant at the Crystal Tower, he has the privilege to attend all open courses by Masters below Associate Professors, a privilege considered insignificant by most.

"Most teaching assistants don’t attend such low-tier courses, especially among peers, there’s always some subtle face-saving issue."

Ron thought to himself: "But for me, this is simply the best learning route."

He pushed open the door of the lecture hall, where nearly fifty apprentices were already seated.

Most were young men and women at the elementary or middle stages, softly chatting with each other, evidently eager for the upcoming ’Enchanter Introductory’ course.

Ron walked towards an empty seat in the corner of the back row.

Noticing the stranger dressed in a teaching assistant’s robe, the apprentices lowered their chatter slightly, many curious eyes cast toward him.

"Isn’t that the new Primordial Wizard?"

"That’s Ron the Teaching Assistant, they say his courses are already fully booked."

"If so, why does he have time to attend such elementary courses?"

"They say he might have a special relationship with the Crown Clan..."

Whispering spread throughout the classroom, but Ron acted as if he hadn’t heard a word, quietly waiting in his seat.

He knew his identity was already attention-grabbing enough, any unnecessary reaction would further intensify such focus.

A few minutes later, the lecture hall door opened again, and a middle-aged man, dressed in a dark blue robe with shoulder-length silver hair, entered.

His face was handsome yet maintained an air of authority, a scholar’s calm demeanor exuded between his brows.

Most notable were his hands, his fingers long and full of power.

Each finger etched with small intricate runes, flickering faint silver light in the light, reportedly his unique technique.

"Welcome everyone to the first lecture of ’Enchanter Introductory.’"

The middle-aged man’s voice wasn’t loud but transmitted exceptionally clearly to every corner of the classroom:

"I am Frederick Levin, the main lecturer of this course."
