The Sect Hierarch of Taoism advocated that fate lies within oneself, not in the heavens. They believed that birth did not necessitate death and that one could prevail against the heavens through one’s own power. It appeared that Taoism aligned with this universe as well. The Heroes were similar; they pursued the Laws and aspired to become Divine.
