"Jiang Chen, you’re incredibly lucky to have obtained The Sword of Termination—the Divine Artifact of the Master of Termination! Where did you find it?"

"You don’t think you can kill me just with The Sword of Termination, do you?"

Jiang Chen replied, "That’s not it. I’m here to verify some things. I won’t be killing you just yet."

"Just yet? As if you could kill me any time you want." Yuan Ziyi laughed.

Her initial reason for following Jiang Chen was to understand how he cultivated; she sensed that his Strength was exceptionally unique, as was his God’s Seal. To Yuan Ziyi, this knowledge was an enormous treasure. In the current world, power and Upgrades were obtained by absorbing experience. But Wanderers were different; they upgraded by absorbing Energy, much like the Creator God. That was why she had followed Jiang Chen—out of a desire to understand. Jiang Chen also knew that even with The Sword of Termination, he might not be able to kill Yuan Ziyi.

"Have a drink?" Yuan Ziyi offered.

Looking at Loreida, Yuan Ziyi smiled and said, "Is the Son of Destiny from the Difiled God Continent hiding in the World of Dreams?"

"You know?" Jiang Chen asked.

"Only if he were hiding in the World of Dreams would I be unable to sense him. It seems it’s true then," Yuan Ziyi mused. "That kid is quite shrewd. It’s a pity he managed to escape."

「Inside the bar.」

They sat across from each other. Loreida also sat beside them, tentatively sipping her drink. After a gulp, she felt a burning sensation as the alcohol rushed straight to her head, and she stood up, coughing.

Jiang Chen smiled and said, "Drink slowly. You’ll get used to it eventually."

"It’s so spicy! I don’t understand why you people want to drink this stuff," Loreida complained.

Jiang Chen spoke gravely, "I want to know who the Creator God is."

Yuan Ziyi looked at Jiang Chen, visibly surprised. "You... You’ve seen her?"

"She’s your mother?" Jiang Chen asked.

Yuan Ziyi shook her head. "No. Strictly speaking, she is the mother of all Divine beings, all Lords. She created the entire world, the entire universe.

"She is the Creator God. She created the Laws; even Destruction and Destiny were her creations. So, she’s not my mother, but the mother of the entire universe."

"Very powerful?" Jiang Chen asked.

Yuan Ziyi rolled her eyes. "What do you think? She created all the Laws. You tell me, is she strong or not?"

"So, what’s her current situation?"

Yuan Ziyi shook her head. "I can’t say for sure. I only have some residual memories; after all, I am not the first Master of Destiny."

Yuan Ziyi continued as she drank, "Actually, before the heavens and earth were parted, she was the first cosmic-level Lord to be born.

"You could say the entire universe *was* her. She created various Laws, various powers.

"Of course, Destiny, which she ranked as foremost, was also her creation.

"After she created Destiny, she let Destiny manage the entire universe. Yet, being the Creator God, she felt that Destiny was slipping from her control, so she created the Power of Termination, attempting to suppress Destiny with it."

"Long eons ago, there were many Continents. Each had its own race and a Divine Tree. The Divine Tree was connected to its Continent and was the very life of that Continent."

Jiang Chen inquired, "What about Origin Energy?"

"Origin Energy is the power of the Divine Tree; it is also a seed," Yuan Ziyi explained. "Without the seed, the Divine Tree will perish, and the world will be destroyed."

Jiang Chen asked, "Then why was she imprisoned?"

Yuan Ziyi explained, "Everyone has ambitions; no one wants to be controlled. Yet she insisted on controlling everyone, and the Divine Trees were her source of power.

"She could decide who would be destroyed at her whim.

"Consequently, the Lords and Divine beings she had created rebelled against her.

"In the end, through the combined forces of Termination and Destiny, the Creator God was thoroughly sealed."

Jiang Chen asked, "She can’t be killed?"

Yuan Ziyi nodded. "Correct. Unkillable. She can only be sealed."

"Then how can she escape the Seal?"

"By absorbing Origin Energy, by drawing upon the power of the Divine Trees. The Divine Trees are her power source, as is Origin Energy."

Loreida was stunned.

If that’s the case, wouldn’t the Origin Energy Orb be incredibly difficult to retrieve?

Jiang Chen laughed and said, "So, our goal is the same?"

Yuan Ziyi shook her head. "We can talk about that if and when you become the Master of Termination. You are not the Master of Termination. My goal aligns with that of the Master of Termination."

Jiang Chen smiled. "One more question."

"Ask."

"Why can someone summon the Creator God?"

Yuan Ziyi shook her head. "I don’t know. It could be one of her subordinates, or perhaps that person has been deluded. You should know, she created all the Laws; she is adept with all their associated powers."

"Could it be her son, or perhaps a clone or something similar?" Jiang Chen mused.

Yuan Ziyi looked shocked. "How could you even think of that?"

"Just a guess."

Yuan Ziyi said thoughtfully, "It’s not impossible. The world is in chaos, and the more chaotic it becomes, the more likely she is to escape.

"If she does escape, all of us will become her Puppets, stripped of our own thoughts.

"We will be utterly under her control.

"Believe me, that is exactly how she is."

Jiang Chen said, "I have a way to seal the Creator God."

"What way?" Yuan Ziyi asked.

"I possess the Rule of Termination and the Power of Termination, while my clone possesses the Power of Destiny. Once I become the Master of Termination and my clone becomes the Master of Destiny, we can seal the Creator God, can’t we?"

Yuan Ziyi laughed.

So, all this talk was just to convince her to relinquish the Destiny Law. Who did he think she was? She is the Master of Destiny; she would absolutely never give up the Destiny Law. And neither would the Master of Termination give up their respective Law. This condition... it was as good as not proposing it at all.
