Chapter 192 – Detailed Appraisal
Skill──────────────────
Detailed Appraisal
This skill allows you to see more detailed stats than other appraisal skills. However, you cannot use other skills while using this skill.
────────────────────
Like all appraisal skills, this one looks pretty important.
When I use Detailed Appraisal to appraise a monster, the amount of information displayed in the status bar explodes.
For example, I can see the monster’s race, weaknesses, resistances, buff/debuff status, and the dungeon it was created in.
There are also a lot of unfamiliar details and numbers.
It’s like they’ve thrown out all the relevant data.
What’s more, some of the details float around or suddenly start scrolling as time passes.
It also behaves like a browser crash, with several windows suddenly popping up and then disappearing before I can check them all.
The amount of information is enough to make my head spin.
However, there is a lot of useful information here, even if I can only grasp a small part of it.
For example, there are the monster races.
Up until now, I’ve been killing them by guessing that they were the same race, but some monsters didn’t have the special conditions I was expecting.
Of course, being able to find out about weaknesses and stat effects is also a huge help.
It’s not impossible to determine weaknesses using data and empirical rules, but determining the probability of a status effect taking effect is a pretty tedious task.
If I use the Detailed Appraisal to determine resistance to status effects and then use the “How to Neutralize People Gently” method I mentioned earlier, I can choose a skill that is likely to work.
The “⑤ How to Neutralize People Gently” to-do list did not include a universal skill that could be used in any situation.
However, if I think about it in terms of being able to respond to different situations, it’s probably okay.
The downside of Detailed Appraisal is that I can’t use other skills while I’m using it.
Also, the information is too detailed, so it takes time and practice to find the information I’m looking for.
In my case, when I’m diving solo, Detailed Appraisal is probably too difficult to use once I’m in combat.
That’s true.
Although it’s a bit off-topic from the discussion of the skills I’ve acquired, there was a story that involved the special condition of defeating 400 specific monster races.
I went to the Shibuya Hachiko Dungeon about a week ago.
Most of the monsters there are wolf-type, with the occasional kobold formation.
It’s a dungeon where it’s easy to target the wolf-type special conditions.
However, this time, I decided not to go for the wolf-type special conditions.
The only thing I saw worth mentioning in the skills of the monsters I killed was Intimidation.
I heard that some of the S-rank dungeons outside of Japan have Fenrir and Anubis.
I don’t have any plans to explore dungeons outside of Japan right now, but there may be dungeons in Japan that have similar monsters.
Well, Anubis might not be a wolf, but a dog.
Hachiko is a dog, but the Hachiko-mae dungeon has a lot of wolf-type monsters, so I get the impression that things are pretty loose there.
That’s fine, but… one thing that worried me was the Intimidation that wolf-type monsters often have.
The younger brother, who lives in the apartment next door, had Intimidation.
In the Hachiko-mae dungeon, where the proportion of wolf-type monsters is high, it wouldn’t be surprising if he happened to fulfill the special condition of defeating 400 monsters in a row.
The Hachiko-mae dungeon is also in the lower ranks of A-rank dungeons, with a level range of around 250.
It would be fine if Yamato had only happened to meet the special requirements.
No, it’s not good because he used it against me without hesitation, but it’s only his problem.
But if the Men’s Association knew about those special conditions and kept them secret, it would be a bit of a problem.
If you use Intimidation against explorers or civilians (i.e., those who are not explorers) who are lower in level than you, you can easily stop them from doing anything.
I’ve shared this information with Serika and Haitani-san for now.
Even if we know about it, there’s nothing we can do about it.
Let’s go back to the special conditions.

────────────────────
The Solitude and Continuous Dungeon Completion bonuses are due to new special conditions I discovered.
I got the Solitude 5 by ‘Solo completing 10 dungeons of rank A or higher’ and the Continuous Dungeon Completion Bonus by ‘Solo completing 4 dungeons of rank A or higher in one day.’
Skill──────────────────
Solitude 5
When there is only one person in the party, all ability stats increase by S.Lv x 10%.
────────────────────
Skill──────────────────
Continuous Dungeon Completion Bonus 5
When you complete a dungeon in a row without escaping, the rewards you receive after the fight are increased by 10%. The effect can be stacked up to S.Lv times. Changing party members will invalidate the number of times you have completed the dungeon in a row.
────────────────────
…Are you telling me to keep going solo?
I can feel the world’s firm intention not to let me do party activities.
That’s why I didn’t bring any mini slimes today.
The future of partying is a troubling issue, but both skills themselves are excellent.
The Consecutive Dungeon Completion Bonus is a skill that increases the amount of SP gained by 1.5 times at all times by maintaining a consecutive completion of five or more times.
Of course, the strength of Solitude is automatically activated when you go solo.
The next skills are Seal Skill, Forced Release, Divine Revelation, and Divine Descent…
‘Defeat a dungeon boss whose level is 4000 or more higher than your level.’
‘Defeat a dungeon boss whose level is 10000 or more than your level.’
‘Defeat a dungeon boss whose level is 4000 or more than your solo level.’
‘Defeat a dungeon boss whose level is 10000 or more than your solo.’
These are the four requirements.
They are all strong, so let’s look at them in order.
First of all,
Skill──────────────────
Skill Seal 5
This nullifies the skills of the target unit for the number of S.Lv. You cannot choose which skills to nullify. However, you cannot remove unique skills.
────────────────────
“Yes, this is dangerous.”
It’s just dangerous.
If the target has fewer skills than the level of the Seal skill, it will be possible to completely seal all of their skills.
There may not be many explorers with five or fewer skills (with the exception of someone like Junko Tozaki), but there are quite a few monsters with that many skills.
Even if the target has six or more skills, I can wait for the target’s skill to be sealed by repeatedly resetting it with Escape.
It took a lot of SP, but I was able to quickly raise my skill level to the maximum.
If I could get it, it would also be a candidate for use with the Philosopher’s Stone Fragment (an item that raises the maximum skill level from 5 to 6).
Next.
Skill──────────────────
Force Release 5
Forces the release of S.Lv effects on the target’s stats. The target’s stats must be displayed. Effects that are not displayed in the stats cannot be released. Even effects from unique skills can be released if they are displayed in the stat.
────────────────────
At first glance, this looks like a skill that cancels buffs, debuffs, and status effects, but there are other things you can use it for.
If you use the status that appears on the Detailed Appraisal instead of the status that appears on the normal Appraisal, the scope of its use expands.
For example, let’s say I applied the effect of slowing a monster’s movement with Spiritual Pressure.
If I then use Detailed Appraisal to display the detailed version of the stat, I’ll get something like this.
────────────────────
Kurashiki Yuto’s Spiritual Pressure > Result: Success
Kurashiki Yuto’s Spiritual Pressure has slowed the movement of the monster.
────────────────────
You’ll find a log like this.
You can use Force Release to check the effects in this log.
However, in the case of Spiritual Pressure, the effect is updated instantly and returns to normal in an instant.
This is probably because the effect of Spiritual Pressure is always active.
However, the nullification will be effective if the skill is not always active.
For example, Human Objectification, which was Clovis’ unique skill.
The skill description says that even unique skills can be canceled, so it seems that it could be used to counter unknown unique skills.
Also, there is a good chance that Forced Release will be effective against Brain Eaters.
Brain Eaters use the Parasite skill to attach themselves to their host.
According to the results of the previous appraisal,
Skill──────────────────
Parasite 5
It attaches itself to the host’s body and absorbs food and MP. It is possible to advance the parasite state by using the stored MP. As the parasite state progresses, the skill level of this skill increases, and it becomes possible to absorb more food and MP. The skill level of this skill cannot be increased by consuming SP.
────────────────────
The description clearly states, “parasitize the host’s body,” so it seems that if I “forcibly cancel” the parasite, it will be expelled from the host’s body.
Although I still have some concerns about actually trying this, at least I found an answer to the “⑬ Brain Eater countermeasures” to-do list item.
