Chapter 47 – I’ve Acquired the Most Desired Skill

The special conditions were still―there were still more.

“Confirmation of the fulfillment of the special condition. You have obtained the skill of Interference Magic.’

Congratulations !!! ────────────

Special Condition Achieved: “Solo the Flood in a dungeon of rank C or higher.”

Reward: Interference Magic Skill

────────────────────

Skill──────────────────

Interference Magic 1

A system of magic that inflicts various types of abnormalities on the target.

────────────────────

‘Confirmation of the fulfillment of the special condition. You have obtained the skill, Double Chant.’

Congratulations !!! ────────────

Special Condition Achieved: “Solo the Flood in a dungeon of rank B or higher.”

Reward: Double Chant Skill

────────────────────

Skill──────────────────

Double Chant 1

By giving multiple meanings to the syllables of a spell, it is possible to chant two spells at once. (50-S.Lv x 10)% longer chanting time.

────────────────────

“This is nice!”

I’ve heard that the monsters that flood the surface with Flood are no longer bound to the unit of organization.

I guess that means they gave me the magic skill to deal with such a situation.

‘Confirmation of the fulfillment of the special condition. You have obtained the Short Teleport skill.’

Congratulations! ────────────

Special Condition Achieved: “Solo conquest of 2 rank-up floods in a dungeon of rank B or higher.”

Reward: Skill Short Teleport

────────────────────

Skill──────────────────

Short Teleport 1

Jumps through space and teleports. The distance that can be teleported is within (S.Lv x 2) meters. Requires (60-S.Lv x 10) seconds to use again. Cannot pass through dungeon walls.

────────────────────

“Oh, this is great too!”

It can be used to surprise enemies during combat, but in my case, it looks like it should be used in conjunction with Escape.

If I use it to slip past an enemy while running forward, the enemy will lose sight of me, if only for a moment.

This would buy me valuable time for the escape gauge.

If I teleport along the outer edge of the escape area while the Escape is active, I may be able to make an emergency escape without losing my escape gauge.

‘Confirmation of the fulfillment of the special condition. You have obtained the Evac skill.’

Congratulations !!! ────────────

Special Condition Achieved: “Contain the flood within 15 minutes of its occurrence.”

Reward: Skill Evac.

────────────────────

Skill──────────────────

Evac.

Escape the dungeon. Affects the entire party. It cannot be used during combat.

────────────────────

“Wow, here comes something simple and useful!”

Evac―I thought it meant emergency evacuation.

It’s like a super convenient skill that needs no explanation.

Especially since there is no requirement, I guess it can be used to leave the dungeon in the middle of a flood.

Since this skill was given as a reward from the flood control, it’s natural to think that it can be used during the flood.

‘Confirmation of the fulfillment of the special condition. You have obtained the skill Revive.’

Congratulations !!! ────────────

Special Condition Achieved: “Survive mortal damage attacks more than twice by any method.”

Reward: Skill Revive

────────────────────

Skill──────────────────

Revive

Revive from 0 HP to maximum HP once per day.

────────────────────

This is a requirement I can understand,

“Who else can fulfill it but me?”

God’s way of saying that the special condition is what makes the bonus so powerful and convincing.

This allows me to use Survive, Revive, and Astral Survival to survive a total of three times fatal damage.

I don’t want to go through that kind of pain three times.

‘Confirmation of the fulfillment of the special condition. You have obtained the Self-Damage Reduction skill.’

Congratulations !!! ────────────

Special Condition Achieved: “Your HP is reduced to 0 by your own attack.”

Reward: Self-Damage Reduction skill

────────────────────

Skill──────────────────

Self-Damage Reduction 1

Reduces the damage caused by the result of your skill by (S.Lv x 15)%. Damage caused by side effects of skills cannot be reduced.

────────────────────

It’s a bit abstract, but it’s not a bad skill to have.

Something like the self-destruct explosion I mentioned earlier (when the skill level is 1) reduces damage by a flat 15%.

However, it seems that the HP reduction is not guaranteed when using skills that increase attack power at the expense of HP.

Of course, the maximum HP reduction of Demonization and Demon God Incarnation would not be covered by the rule. If that were possible, it would be too powerful.

“Even if the skill level is raised to 5, the reduction rate is still 75%.”

If it were 100%, I could do whatever I wanted with the self-destruct explosion.

‘Confirmation of the fulfillment of the special condition. You have obtained the skill set of “Conqueror of the Hobbit Village.”

Congratulations !!! ────────────

Special Condition Achieved: “Defeat 400 Hobbits in a row, Race: Hobbit. Including at least one boss monster.”

Reward: Conqueror of the Hobbit Village” Skillset

When you obtain “Conqueror of the Hobbit Village,” you can choose three of the following skills from the set.

Steal

Flee

False Intentions

Coordinated Attack

Plunder

Treasure Hunt

The following skills have been added.

Sumo

Magic Power Resistance

Physical Enhancement Magic

Strengthening Melee Combat

Parry

Bull’s Eye

────────────────────

“Wow, finally the real thing…”

This was my original goal.

How did it become such a bonus rush? I don’t know.

“I see; I have a choice.”

Apparently, you can choose from the skills of the Hobbit monsters I’ve defeated.

So, should I have defeated more Slimes, Golems, and Onis before fulfilling the special conditions?

“…It can’t be helped that things have gone too far.”

Next time, let’s wait to fulfill the special condition of 400 monsters of the same family until I see a skill I really want.

So what should I choose?

“Should I choose… False Intention?”

It was a % increase in attack power (S.Lv x 10) against monsters that weighed more than twice as much.

There are more monsters that are heavier than humans, so it would work well if I used it.

“Fleeing is a bit like Escape, but it’s not necessarily useless, is it?”

Skill──────────────────

Flee 2

Allows the user to immediately flee from combat. If your (S.Lv x Agility) exceeds your opponent’s Agility, you can make them disappear. Does not work against dungeon bosses.

────────────────────

Secret──────────────────

When you use Flee, you do not gain experience, SP, mana coins, or drop items that you would have gained in combat. It is possible to flee with items obtained through Steal.

────────────────────

Flee does not have an escape gauge.

This means that you can escape instantly.

However, depending on your Agility, you may not be able to make the enemy disappear.

Escape is not necessarily more inconvenient than Flee since Escape allows you to escape with certainty if you succeed.

“But I have never explored a dungeon where I could not use Escape. I don’t think I’ll have much of a chance to use it.”

If the monster is likely to be killed during Escape, the Agility comparison of Flee is not as reliable as it could be.

On the other hand, I want to be sure,

Skill──────────────────

Treasure Hunt 1

Increases the quality of items available from drop items and steal-type skills.

────────────────────

This should be definite.

The problem is Steal and Plunder.

Skill──────────────────

Steal 1

You can steal the target’s items. Equipment and items in the item slot can also be stolen depending on the probability.

The success rate is (S.Lv x 10)%, plus a correction based on the ratio of their Agility. However, the success rate cannot exceed 80%.

The higher the ratio of the two’s Luck, the higher the probability of stealing a rare item.

────────────────────

Skill──────────────────

Plunder 1

Steal is automatically activated when you attack. The S.Lv. of Steal is the one with the higher Plunder or Steal. It can be activated even if the Steal skill has not been acquired.

────────────────────

On the one hand, Plunder seems to be a higher level of Steal.

But for me, who doesn’t want to level up, Steal has its own appeal since it doesn’t do any damage.

On the other hand, if it’s not the last one, it’s more efficient to use Plunder to deal damage while using Steal.

“…No, wait. If I want to use Steal on a monster that appears in a group, there is a possibility that I will kill them all if I use Plunder. And it wouldn’t necessarily succeed in a single attempt.”

My attack power is low right now, but that won’t always be the case in the future.

If I need to steal an item from a lone monster that can be killed with a single blow, even if I take it easy, there is a possibility that I will get stuck using Plunder.

Equipping the Level Sealing Bracelet will avoid the experience cost, but it would be better to take the Steal option.

“But there are other ways.

If I combine Knockout with Plunder, the enemy’s HP will be reduced to 1.

There are many situations where it would be okay to use Plunder to take out all but the last one.

For example, if there is no item I really want, but I am lucky enough to steal an item while killing enemies along the way, it would be a good idea.

The problem is,

“Can I properly stack Knockout and Plunder?”

Knockout gives the attack the effect of leaving the enemy with 1 HP, and Plunder gives the attack the effect of stealing.

Is there a risk that the two skills will interfere with each other and not be able to be used at the same time?

I think it would probably be okay because the other skills have synergy unless there is a requirement.

I don’t want to have to wait until I take the skill to find out that I can’t use it at the same time.

‘Help: Knockout and Plunder can be applied to a single attack at the same time.’

“Oh, you’re telling me?”

The Voice of Heaven said it, so it must be true.

There has never been a single case where the Voice of Heaven was wrong.

So here we are,

“Three of them are Plunder, Treasure Hunt, and False Intentions!”

‘You have acquired the skills of Plunder 1, Treasure Hunt 1, and False Intentions 1.’

“Alright!”

I finally got the Plunder I wanted (which was originally supposed to be Steal).

Along with countless other awesome skills.
