Chapter 81 – This Time Results (A Rank) Continued

Now that I have all the Appraisal skills, this is the first time I’ve done an A-rank dungeon.

It won’t end that easily.

‘Confirmation of the fulfillment of the special condition. You have obtained the Dungeon Travel skill.’

Congratulations !!! ────────────

Special Condition Achieved: Solo conquer of a dungeon of rank A or higher at level 5 or lower (first time only).

Reward: Skill Dungeon Travel

────────────────────

Skill──────────────────

Dungeon Travel

From a portal at the entrance of a dungeon you have already conquered, you can travel to the entrance of another dungeon you have already conquered. Transfers cost mana coins based on the distance.

────────────────────

“Wow, that’s amazing!”

So I can quickly travel between dungeons I’ve already conquered?

The mana coin (money) requirement is a drawback, but it’s great that it doesn’t take so long to get from one place to another.

‘Confirmation of the fulfillment of the special condition. You have obtained the skill set Destroyer of the Karakuri Civilization.’

Congratulations !!! ────────────

Special Condition Achieved: Defeat 400 consecutive race: Karakuri. At least one of them must be a boss monster.

Reward: Destroyer of the Karakuri Civilization Skill Set

By obtaining the Destroyer of the Karakuri Civilization, you can choose three of the following skills from the set.

One-Handed Holding

Electric Shock

Charge

Suicide Bomb Attack

Command

Datalink

Bombardment

Gunfire

Lock-On

The following skills are now available.

One-Handed Holding

Command

Gunfire

────────────────────

“Hmm…?”

It looks like One-Handed Holding, Command, and Gunfire can be acquired through skill sets but can also be acquired later with SP.

Then, there is no need to use the precious slots in the Skill Sets.

Then the candidates are Electric Shock, Charge, Suicide Attack, Datalink, Bombardment, and Lock-On.

“I don’t need Electric Shock.”

It is a skill that releases weak electric shocks around you to electrocute those you touch, but then the sub-skill of Ninjutsu, Purple Lightning Earth Running, has a wider range.

As for monster-type skills that attack the environment, I already have Poison Spray.

Poison Spray is also rarely used.

There is no point in taking another skill that duplicates its role.

“Datalink is not very useful either.”

It is a skill that allows you to share information with your allied Karakuri-type monsters, but for me, it has limited use in limited situations.

The only time I can use it is when I summon the Karakuri Doctor (I haven’t named it yet) with Summon Secret Monster.

However, when I summon a monster with Summon Secret Monster, I can communicate with it to some extent, even if I don’t have this skill.

Also, the Karakuri Doctor’s fighting ability is quite subtle on its own.

There is no way to improve communication by going to the trouble of acquiring a special skill for the Karakuri type.

That leaves Charge, Suicide Attack, Bombardment, and Lock-On.

Three out of these.

“Can a living person use a Suicide Bomb Attack? …No, not really.”

Skill──────────────────

Suicide Bomb Attack 1

An explosive attack without regard to self-causes (5+S.Lv) times the damage of a normal attack. However, it costs (200-S.Lv x 20) % of the damage dealt.

────────────────────

When the skill level is 1, it deals six times the damage to the enemy and takes 180% of the damage dealt.

If the damage dealt by the normal attack is 1000, the damage dealt by the Suicide Bomb Attack is 6000, and you take 180% of the 6000―10800 damage.

If I increase the skill level to 5, I will deal ten times the damage to the enemy, and I will take 100% of that damage (the same).

If the damage dealt by the normal attack is 1000, the calculation is that both the damage dealt and the damage taken will be 10000.

The first thing that comes to mind is,

“If I remove the damage dealt by the Philosopher’s Stone Fragment, I can increase the damage dealt by ten times without any penalty, right?”

However, I wondered if I should use the precious fragment for this purpose.

It’s an explosive attack, so there’s a possibility that the movement of the attack is special and difficult to handle.

The Suicide Bomb Attack of the Karakuri Assault Soldiers on the road was to detonate an explosive charge placed in the tip of their spears.

Perhaps the weapons that can be used are limited.

On the other hand, it is not impossible that it could be used with a bow, as in the case of Plunder.

Is this a more realistic or a more game-oriented implementation?

It’s hard to tell just by reading the skill description.

However, I noticed that there are other ways to use it.

“Is there a way to use it with the assumption that I will be resurrected by Survive or Revive?”

It’s an inconvenient method, but it could be used to increase firepower when the time comes.

If it’s in a skill combo, it could explode the entire combo’s firepower.

If I take the Suicide Attack, I have two choices: Charge, Bombardment, or Lock-On.

Charge is a powerful and open rush attack, while Bombardment is an artillery attack.

Bombardment is the art of using an artillery weapon.

Lock-on is,

Skill──────────────────

Lock-on 1

The user can automatically lock on to an enemy once it is locked on. The attack against the locked enemy will have a guiding effect, and the hit rate and critical rate will be improved by (S.Lv x 20)%.

────────────────────

Increases critical strike rate by 20% per skill level.

I can see a synergy with Assassination and Fatal Crit (increases the activation rate of instant death attacks on a critical hit).

Of the three, this is probably the one I want the most.

The last two options are Charge and Bombardment.

“I haven’t heard anything about artillery drops.”

And by the way, guns don’t seem to drop either.

I think it was mentioned a long time ago that firearms, on the surface, are not effective against monsters in dungeons, but no firearms have ever been found as dungeon items.

The Karakuri Tank that appeared on the road fired a cannon, but there were no firearms in its drop, either.

Even the Karakuri Drone equipped with a Gatling gun dropped a rapid-fire bow.

As for the Charge.

Skill──────────────────

Charge 1

A powerful attack with the momentum of a rush. It deals (200+50×S.Lv)% of the damage of a normal attack, but if the attack is dodged, the attacker loses their stance and becomes stiff for (7-S.Lv) seconds.

────────────────────

If the skill level is 1, it is 2.5 times more powerful, and if the attack is missed, it will be stiff for 6 seconds.

Six seconds is too long in a battle.

If the skill level is raised to 5, it is 4.5 times more powerful and has a one-second stiffness.

In advanced battles, one second of stiffness can be fatal, but depending on the situation, it might be useful…?

I had a hard time deciding,

“Suicide Bomb Attack, Lock-On, Charge!”

‘You have acquired the skills Suicide Bomb Attack 1, Lock-On 1, and Charge 1.’

“…Is this the end?”

I waited for a while but did not hear any Voice of Heaven.

That’s too bad. It seems there was no further response.

“What should I do now…?”

I’ll remember to learn the One-Handed Holding later… before I forget it.

I want to improve the skills I’ve been putting off acquiring and leveling up, but that’s not something I need to do right now, either.

What I need to do now is get back to my hometown as soon as possible.

“Good thing I got the Dungeon Travel…”

It looks like I’ll be able to return to my hometown sooner than if I left without defeating the boss.

I’ve booked a hotel room for the day after tomorrow, but all my luggage is in the Item Box.

I can call to cancel when I get back to my hometown.

Let’s forget about the cancellation fee and the missed hotel meal.

“But first, let’s get my mind off it.”

Maybe it’s not that much of a worry.

I’ve got this neat thing called Fathom and Reappraisal.

Let’s take a look at the true status of this high human, Clovis the Elf.

It will be interesting to see if he is as good as his fake status suggests.

“Open the results of the previous Appraisal in the Archive and go… Activate Sneak Peek, Reappraisal, and Fathom.”

The high human’s status, which was only displayed for a moment, suddenly made a small, pleasant sound and then shattered!

It feels good!

I thought, but then I saw the status appear from behind the screen and freeze.

A shiver ran down my spine, and my face became more serious than ever.

“This is bad!”

I shouted with a bloodthirsty look on my face, and at the same time, a ringing tone rang out from my phone.
